    Even for a "live" recording, it is nonetheless grand. Miking on the brass was spine-tingling. Sopranos were thrilling. This eight-minute piece of music is reson enough for millions of college students should take music appreciation classes. Puccini certainly made an awesome contribution to Western Civilization

    Nessus Dorma is the most beautiful aria ever! Love to hear it sung by Paul Potts. He is such a great talent!

    Beautiful music, but this is one opera that is really enhance by being staged. You have to see the emperor on high presiding.

      @John Meigs Agreed, Puccini was always the helpless romantic. His futile attempts to complete Turandot were hopeless because the happy ending he envisioned coming so quickly after the death of Liu simply did not comport with the tragedy of his personal life, the full details of which did not become available until the 21st century.
