Having the ability to make realtime parametric EQ adjustments is a dream come true. Been waiting a longtime for this pedal. Thanks for the review.
I'm going to have to try this. I pretty much gave up on playing solo gigs on acoustic instruments because I never felt I could deliver a decent tone.
Thanks a lot for the review: which other pedals do you think would be a good choice to compete this pedal for an acoustic pedal board? I have Bose L1 and Aer mobile
Thanks for this! Just got mine and this helped enormously. Are you running the XLR into a mixer and then into your DAW? Thanks.
I wonder how the direct comparison of pickup sound vs. IR would have sounded, without your custom EQ added. Having applied EQ to the IR sound makes it a rather unfair comparison. You’d need to also compare the EQ‘d IR sound with the EQ’d pickup sound to be fair. But this pedal does strike me as potentially very powerful, also in comparison with the ToneDexter or the Nux Optima Air.
9:30: "Making your voice sound like your voice is not unlike making an acoustic instrument sound like it does." To the first approximation, that's true, but the technology that goes into making a human voice sound intelligible over a limited bandwidth channel is way different from a high-fidelity acoustic instrument reproduction. That said, I'm sure the app bypasses all the vocoder processing of the iPhone since the in addition to being a phone, the iPhone is an audio/video recorder. It's not the technology that's weak here, just the explanation.
Seems as if I have to stick to the Nux Optima Air, because the Voiceprint seems to work with iPhone exclusively.
How is the Optima working for you?
Sick chops bro
Is there some weird effect on the guitar or is there a room mic picking up the AER? The sound is horrible; warbly, droney, out of phase & rattley.
This is voodoo. Amazing haha!!
What if you have Android
Now it works with Android.
No Android app? Really disappointed. I have LR Baggs pickups on all of my guitars and happily using a Gigpro preamp for years. Now I have to buy a freaking iPhone to use this great product?
Or an iPad!
Android capable now. Worked great with my Samsung S20fe.
Im disappointed in LR BAGGS ,love their products but do not like what I’m hearing this time.
BTW, your guitar doesn't sound good compared to its price. Try the same Voiceprint with a 1200-1300 EUR worth Yamaha AC5M/AC5R and see the difference.
