It doesn't have to "sound like a very expensive mic." As long as it sounds good... THAT is what matters. For $3 or $33, this mic sounds GREAT and great music can be made with it.

Not as if it’s a brauner vm1 going into shelford channel, 8801, retro or a basic 6176 then into lynx or better converters. For $3 sounds better than most cheap mics but with the usual issues, too much sibilance, lack of mids but with proper treatment I could definitely make it sound better and as much as I hate an 87 vocally I could make it work. Impart a lush pre like a m72 into a retro sta and it’ll sound great but that’s a waste of a chain with a $3 mic.
Man I Just ordered 2 of them might use them for a podcast or something! That preamp made it sound a lot more polished! She killed the singing and bolo put a solid mix on it! Much Repsect Bro!

He already did make a video comparing the real v fake. And I don’t care how good your voice is, a bad mic will ruin a great take and make you frustrated. There’s a reason people pay good money for a great mic…they want a sound as true and/or pleasing to the human ear as possible, crappy mics cannot do that. The difference between the AI and the TEMU is the TEMU has slightly less body, cheaper construction(which you will not hear through speakers) and it’s slightly smaller than an AI. I’ve actually seen others preview this fake AI and consistently people have been surprised at how good they sound.

Good video and surprisingly good vocal sound! Would like to hear a comparison with a real U87 or other good high end mic. Without the track, it sounded a little roomy or like minor glass reflections, but couldn’t tell if it was the mic or the booth acoustics.

When people debate mics remember George Benson recorded Masquerade on a SM58… a great vocalist and or vocal performance will outdo a great mic and a weak performance
does anyone think it might be the analog gear that's beefing up the vocals before they go into Pro Tools? Because my Neumann U87ai doesn't even sound this good without plugins lol
Yes it’s technical, all mics can easily capture the human vocal range 200k to 5k what ever, ancient technology. Would jimmy hendrix sound worse on a $20 guitar, then a noob on a les Paul? A shovel is a shovel, it can cost $5 or $5000, the hard part is using the shovel to dig the hole, and everybody got to sweat!
I suppose in audio world, everybody would be standing around saying they can’t dig the hole, because the cheap shovel they have doesn’t leave as smooth edges to the side of the hole then the expensive shovel would. Therefore it’s pointless them even trying to dig the hole (play keyboards), or any of that stuff. First they need perfect hole quality. And actually they may as well hire an excavator to dig the hole for them because just as good, and much faster! Ok so they won’t build up any muscle or get physically strong in the process of trying to use their cheap shovel. Too many people just want a nice hole. Actually they just want people to tell them they have a nice hole. And be the big guy. I bet when they stand next to the hole for photo, they pose with an mpc or keyboard (shovel) and not splice cheesey download clicker finger (excavator) They are not interested in putting in any hard work themselves to do it themselves.
It sounded perfect when you played it back. Was that with temu mic? When she sang into it sounded muffked. Was the replay cleaned up or was that how it recorded?
Cheap mics are pretty good today but from my experience a main difference is the noise floor. Ie difference between a $20 newer nw800 and Rode NT1A is that I have to post clean up noise but the recording is detailed .
