(I made sure to include a bunch of clips y’all reminded me I missed out on - yes. Including 2 and Jamie)
Before anyone starts ranting in the comments, check out part one: • Doctor Who being a com...
And then you can rant in the comments.
All clips are taken from BBC’s Doctor Who and I do not own the right to them
Here is part 1 (Lots of tensimm 💀)
ruclips.net/video/EeuJj5CeNy4/видео.html
Thank god bc nothing doctor who will ever do again will match the homoerotic of tensimm 😭
Vastra: I'm a lizard woman from the dawn of time-
Victorian woman: …
Vastra: -and this is my wife.
Victorian woman: *Screams in utter horror.*
🤣🤣
Ha ha, yes THAT'S the scandalous bit! 😂😂😂😂
"oh, fifty-seven academics just punched the air" is one of my favourite lines from the show EVER ❤️❤️
Agreed
I dont get that one, care to explain?
@@anonymousobserver6508 The man saying "Is that a promise doctor?" is Willian Shakespeare. The joke is that a lot of modern day acedemics that study shakespeare believe he was bisexual. So if they were to find out that Shapkespeare flirted with the doctor (a man*) then they would be exstatic at being proven right.
*In this regeneration
@@anonymousobserver6508
It's either a reference to 57 sonnets he apparently wrote for a male "friend" or to a specific 57 academics that have argued for Shakespeare being interested in both genders,
captain jack: **makes eye contact with someone**
the doctor: stOP IT
normal people flirt by getting to know each other, captain jack flirts by dying and then waiting until someone runs over so he can come back to life
@@AB-yu8gm 💀
I mean the doctor isn't wrong tho😂
'he's into musical theatre' I watched that episode recently (for the first time) and laughed so hard 😂😂
I KNOW it’s so funny 😂
I did NOT understand that refernce.
@@philosotree5876A lot of queer (and gay) men were into musical theater and Hollywood especially during that time, so it's essentially her saying "oh you're into him but he's gay"
@@RenaissanceRockerBoy Thanks for the explanation.
Cishet Whovian here. I can say with 100% certainty that, being the Doctor Who-obsessed kid that I was, the presence of characters like Jack Harkness, Vastra and Bill on that show played a fundamental role in teaching me to accept and love LGBTQ folks. I remember when I was really young and witnessing homophobia around me, I’d think “Why is it so different? Captain Jack likes boys and he’s awesome.”
I’ll get off my soapbox. But suffice to say, representation in media (especially children’s media, which DW ultimately is) really does matter in so many ways :)
I really appreciate this video started with the man himself because of course it did
Took me a moment to understand what Cishet means
4:23 is one of my favourite scenes ever. he basically looks at him and goes “yep, bisexual”
real lmao
I love how Craig isn’t even like “no that’s gay” he’s just like “oh sorry I’m married” he was totally up for it
Craig is loyal, I respect that
Donna was right. The Doctor's multi sexualness was never far from the surface.
it would be exactly as surprising if the doctor got a canon autism diagnosis. they’re clearly autistic, it’s hardly even debatable, it would just be a bit surprising for it to be actually confirmed
I firmly believe that the Doctor is simultaneously every sexuality.
@@Silverwind87that wouldn’t surprise me one bit, time lords are at least a bit more advanced species not concerned with our primitive gender stereotypes, at least as 12 put it 😂
@@doofusboy7054"We're millions of years beyond your petty human obsessions with gender"
I miss Jenny and Vastra. Every moment they were on screen was pure gold.
💯

Finally, all is right with the world
Honestly Clara is a bicon, we need that Jane Austin story NOW
Yes!
I would unironicaly read / watch that!

Given how she talks about her, I wonder if that was ever gonna be a story that was scrapped for some reason.
@@philosotree5876 you already know the reason 😔
@@benjaminhager6285 not really.
"But,Doctor, I'm just saying hello!" "Say hello later Jack!" ❤❤
The “he’s into musical theatre” gagged me the first time I saw it swear to god I paused and gagged on my food
“But worth it! 😁” I love Nine
Vastra making Jenny pose is hysterical 😂
Congrats to Doctor Who for being the only one in the superwholock that was actually queer 😅
we were really begging for destiel and johnlock when doctor who was right there being gloriously not straight
True true
Oh lord, the mention of Superwholock out in the wilds made my bones reverberate in fear
Yeah it's pretty wild seeing the difference between shows that string their audience along with increasingly shameless queerbaiting and a show that was unapologetically queer long before mainstream television was comfortable with it.
Lmfao the low-quality "Don't forget to subscribe to the official Doctor Who RUclips channel" at the end 😭😭
YESSSSS JAMIE AND TWO
I miss Jack flirting with anything with a pulse 😩
I need Jack and 15 to interact in season 2
Yeah, that would be so cool!
two and jamie are cannon no one can convince me otherwise
We need some Tegan and Nyssa. Especially after "I was fast asleep in bed, I said goodnight to Nyssa" in Tales of the Tardis 😏. "No hanky panky in the Tardis", but those two with an infinite number of bedrooms chose to share 👀
Name one Doctor who’s completely heterosexual, I dare you to
The War Doctor ?
The 1st the 3rd the 4th the 5th the 6th the 7th the 8th the 9th the 10th the 11th the 12th, just because the doctor jokes about being gay doesn't mean he's gay
@@thelegostopmotiondude9960 It's less the joking, and more the flirting (or complete lack thereof if we're talking some of the classic doctors), or in 12's case looking forlornly into the distance whilst talking about how some algae guy fancied him once that makes people speculate - we're not going off nothing here 😭
@@DergeytrutoBro, the recents doctors are basics stereotypes of women and gays, not even done right
THIS IS MY FAVOURITE DOCTOR WHO COMPILATION NOW. THANKS.
I remember doing a FULL double take at the Jane Austen one with Clara and "Oh... I should have realized, he's into musical theatre." had me ROLLING the first time I watched the episode
I came straight (sorry) here from the first one. Thank you, and well done! 🙏❤️🏳️🌈🟦
I love how much Two and Jaime are in this lmao
I think if you're looking for some more classic clips - ooh boy there are some very good Three/Delgado Master ones in The Mind of Evil.
3:45 Did you know that scene wasn't in the script and Matt just wanted to kiss Arthur.
I know people hate on them but Thazmin meant so much to so many, myself included, and it was probably one of the only queer things Chibnall wrote correctly.
I feel like the only real problem with it is that it wasn't properly acknowledged until the very end of 13's run, and then Yaz left and 13 regenerated the very next episode
Hey, could you please explain the last bit? Cishet here and I'd like to know what's right and what's not in case I ever become a writer I guess
Thanks
Hey @@Ανδρέας-ΓεώργιοςΣκίννερ, I personaly especially liked the scene, in which Dan confronts Yas about her feelings for the Doctor. She tells him that she had not admitted her love for the Doctor to herself and that the whole affair was not that easy. Many queer people experience this fear, because telling your crush about your feelings for them is scarry anyway. With admitting a same-sex crush you also have to deel with potential internalised homophobia (like "I can't be gay!", "I just like her as a friend; everything is fine." and shame about your crush) and maybe get homophobic stuff from others.
@Rerelic Fuck all organised religion
@RerelicCare to explain the problem?
1:18 omfg i love this bit
you forgot the doctor calling newton hot
That was in part 1 😁
Forgot the « Look at the size of this thing Doctor ». - Yes Jamie it’s a Big One ! from the Two Doctors
Christopher eccleston smile always make my day
the official doctor who yt-channel, brilliant 😂 i didn't knew there was so much tension between two and jamie lmao.
the editing is so funny, I swear you're the best, keep going.
Doctor refuses to kiss Amy while she’s engaged
Also the Doctor 3:45 kiss the husband
The Doctor wanted Rory that's why 😂
also in classic who (specifically survival):
karra: exists
ace: ♡〰♡
2 and hus boy toy Jamie, the greatest romance in Doctor Who, maybe television.
You feed my hunger
the fact that people were getting all "why is it woke now" with the 13th and 15th, but it literally was always gay. people forget doctor who was originally conceived in the same niche nerd sphere with star trek (which was very ahead of its time) nerds are already uncool, so other taboo stuff was usually just chilling right next door.
Thank you for giving Classic its representation with Two and Jamie!
I agree with the one that recommended Three and Delgado Master.
My recommendations, Nyssa and Tegan + Five and Turlough. ❤ I adore the BF TARDIS team with Five, Older Nyssa, Tegan and Turlough.
I'm sure there are plenty more, but those are the first two I could think of 😅
When I see TwoJamie content I froth at the mouth in absolute glee, lightheaded with happiness rn
0:24 Doctor Who is SO real for this line
I’ve been waiting for this ngahahahaha
Nghahahahaha I’m glad I have met your needs
I WAS NOT EXPECTING THE CROWLEY PIC LMAO
Jenny and Vastra are goals
This is somehow even gayer than the first part
Madame Vastra's squealed, screeched, squeaked "aRt?!" is among the very finest line deliveries in Doctor Who.
If you're including classic Who, might I recommend literally any scene with Tegan and Nyssa? Those two had homoerotic subtext off the charts.
Absolutely
4:13 *panic *
A few more examples of Classic Who being fruity, for your consideration:
- The Daemons: Mike Yates invites the Brigadier to dance with him.
- The Masque of Mandragora: supporting characters Marco and Giuliano sure feel like a couple to me.
- Kinda: A young girl of the Kinda tribe mentions having seven fathers, and remarks that having only one "must be very sad".
- The Happiness Patrol: supporting character Susan Q has an extremely queer-coded conversation with Ace about having to hide her true feelings from a judgemental society.
- Ghost Light: Ace spends most of the episode dressed in men's clothing, and convinces another girl to do the same.
- Survival: Ace has a romance with an alien catgirl. (this one is confirmed intentionally gay by the episode's writer)
I got the Survival subtext right away. It was clear as water!
0:48 YESS CLARA THE FELLOW BICON
If I could wish for one thing
I'd take the smile that you bring
Wherever you go in this world I'll come along...
They always give Jane Austen a crazy backstory
(Yet another similarity between Doctor Who and Good Omens)
Good one for part three. In the movie when the Roberts Master says "I need the Doctor's body." like as soon as he woke up. Or the time when he said something along the lines of "The Doctor has done unspeakable crimes with my body." LIKE BUDDY WHAT!? I get that these lines have different meaning with context but uuhhhhhh they are sus.

Thasmin is a thing.
Although if the Doctor leaves Yaz, I would totally be ready on the rebound. I have a huge crush on Yaz.
3:45 not scripted

The kiss that is what's not scripted

It's great the Doctor can be whatever he wants. I did read that both David Tennant and Matt Smith played him as asexual.
Clara also basically married Ashildr 😂😅😊
1:41 9 x Jack???? Im kinda here for it =D

WHERE'S TEGAN AND NYSSA 😡😡
I was thinking that as well, but I'm sure they'll be included in future. Gotta love some Indestructible goodness.
this is just made me relaise how doctor who has always been like this, but not as abvious as it is now, the slight hinting towards the gay stuff whatever you want to call it was funny, but now (ever since the 13th era) they made it weird and hence why people are saying "oh its woke now", they turned it funny, to serious and very awkward.
Oh, yes, of course, a bit of queer innuendo is funny. Accepting that we queer people are people just like anyone else and can be ourselves without shame or need to hide is awkward, right? I don't have to say what you are, it's just too evident.
@@Donnagata1409 You don't need to get all upset about it, it's just my opinion, and anyway what I was saying was not with the intention of disrespecting you or the rest of the queer, all I was saying was that the little queer innuendos where funny, like for instance when Captain Jack Harkness slapped that generals or soldiers arse (can't remember correctly), that was funny. But I guess I just can't accept that it's a lot more serious now today rather than it being funny (but still serious just not in a pushy way) like it used to be. It's just not funny anymore like it was. Look I'm just the kind of guy that doesn't like change, I am allowed to speak my opinion in the hope of comfort I suppose I don't know. I don't mean it in any disrespect to the queer. I'm sorry if I offended you.
doctor who has always been relatively "woke" as you would call it today, but in recent years the execution of those themes have not been the best
Oh and Ace X Mel I guess 😊
Lmao
43 second in, seen enough. The fact that you put Troughton era in this collection is an insult to classic Who, it remains head and shoulders above the current dismal show. To pretend there was any sexual subtext back then, utter nonsense.
Classic golden era was litterally made by gay men
Yes, stop watching then. Leave the video. We don't want you here
@@DittoGTI “we don’t want you here” thanks for that, but it is the familiar divisive rallying cry of the deviant.
@@andrewtomes4980 Deviant? Come on, go back in time where you belong. Far back in time...
Classic who has always been progressive about sexuality and gender. If you can't accept that LGBTQ People exist, you aren't a Whovian or a Doctor Who fan.
Funny how you take so many scenes out of context to suit your ideology. Those classic scenes with Patrick Troughton aren’t gay, nor were they intended to (hence why the majority of your clips are from modern who which of course highlight gayness 1 because it’s modern and 2 because it’s written by gay men) they were intended to be humorous for laughs, and the only one out of the three classic scenes you picked I’m talking about is the hand holding one. For example, the scene where Amy tells Rory how he doesn’t hang out with girls, is because he only wants Amy and fancies her. Doesn’t make him gay because his character isn’t gay. Hilarious how you forget that. Clearly not a fan of Doctor who just some sad person finding ammo which isn’t there. Check your facts and watch the episodes first
Man, people who don't have any LGBT friends are lame. You sound like the most boring person alive. I'm sorry you are like this.
Wasnt one of the first few writers of doctor who (classic) gay?
Following the first video, many people suggested the inclusion of Two and Jamie because, during production, there was concern from some producers about having The Doctor travelling with a male companion, since it could appear to be a suggestion of homosexuality to some 1960s viewers. The two actors, Patrick Troughton and Frazer Hines, were warned about this, and given direct instruction to 'make sure it doesn't seem gay'. The two actors thought this was hilarious, and thus took near every opportunity to touch each other in some way. They also had a running joke where they'd comment about the large size of something. This backstage history is where the inclusion of Two and Jamie scenes comes from, even though the characters themselves were not gay.
it's a video made for fun lol
@@imogenlenoregreat job at clearing this up
