He just shut down additional thinking while processing being able to click the trades and when no stone shows up to trade it is assumed it's something to do with the new thing
Except Grian doesn't use Spacebar to trade which is still very painful to hear considering just how much trading he has done across multiple seasons lol. Spacebar + Shift clicking the emeralds is probably 5-10 times faster than Shift clicking the trade in the trade menu.

To be fair, Tango has never really messed around with villager trading because he sees it as too overpowered. It's the same reason he never uses TNT dupers.
For anyone who still doesnt understand: you can put your items into the trading slot automatically by clicking the trade on the left, and after a trade has been selected pressing space or enter repeats this action, so you can trade really quickly by selecting a trade, hovering over the emerald (or the item you are buying) and spamming shift-click and space/enter Hope i could help
you can speed it up further by pressing tab to select the trade (in some cases, especially with the sticks trade in fletcher vilagers) then spam alternate shift click and space
Im just used to bedrock where clicking the trade button on the left performs the trade in 1 click (but you still have to spam it). And even i had a general sense of how java trading worked. (To be fair most content creators are on Java)

That was an amazing gag, and you know impulse wasn't that bothered because he kept replacing them and not saying anything. (I think while he had a shop selling emeralds at the same time, he was such a good sport about it)
I think that he had calibration on the making of Tektopia, and there must have not been a not happy ending because it has never been updated... Some even offered their skills for free to get it updated, but sadly Tango refuses....
And they call themselves professionals 😂 It hurts how needlessly inefficient they are sometimes. But to be fair, this feature is not documented inside Minecraft at all and it's not particularly intuitive either.

"Teaching your parent to play a video game" is such a mood. My siblings and I (late teens to late 20s) tried to show our mom how to play minecraft this summer. She would play with one finger on the keyboard at a time. Look at the screen, move the mouse to point to what she wanted to walk to, move mouse to look at the ground in front of her, then click "w" and say "walk" for each step to reach where she wanted to go. It took about 2 hours to build a 10x10 square wood house. We had a great time.
It was terribly painful to watch Tango trading like that, But Wait, the more painful thing is about the poor Scar who has been double tapping W for running instead of holding CTRL key🤦
To be fair control is pretty annoying to press so i still use thr double tap. (But if you have extra buttons on a mouse 100% just rebind sprint to that from control)

@@Noromdiputs i many play on xbox (so bedrock with a controller), but mumbo should definitely check out both sneak and sprint toggle and getting a gamer mouse with enough extra mouse buttons to move both onto his mouse so he can stop thumb shifting this his left hand. (I still don't understand how he does that, pinky shifting is far more natural)

Shift-click the trade in the trade list. Shift click the payout slot Press Space to repeat the previous trade. Shift click the payout slot. Repeat. I can confirm that it is spacebar and not whatever you bind Jump to, because even if you re-bind Sprint to Shift and Crouch to CTRL, it's still shift-click on things to do stuff.

I’ve never played actual Java Minecraft but on this one online version of 1.5 that’s actually unblocked on school computer I’m always using w tapping sprint. I find it pretty easy honestly you just click it really fast twice and your resdy

Aight, so what you wanna do is take the item into the trade thing, then you hold right shift and spam your left mouse button and your enter key on top of the emeralds... The enter key will automatically refill the trade and with shift you don't have go drag anything. The reason for me saying right shift is that it's easier to get that setup working than to move your hand over your keyboard each time. Good day

The trick for trades you have to refill is to select the trade, and then hold shift and rapidly hit enter while also rapidly clicking the trade output.
meanwhile my entire server was questioning why I have like 100 levels when I was just in my trading hall, trying to lock in good trades from villagers.
you would think that for someone who has developed an entire villager overhaul he would know how this stuff works but no, reality is surprising at times
Spacebar refills the stone instantly (maybe only when you selected the trade on the left menu) so you just shift click -> space bar -> repeat, don't have to move your mouse
No spacebar is the trick to go fast, when you’re about to get the emeralds in the emerald slot spam space while you’re getting the emeralds and it means you don’t need to keep clicking on the trade, it fills in your trade resource automatically.

Double tap is great for a panic reflex, because it takes less time to do a double tap than shift

Alternatively, with Masady's 'Item Scroller mod' all you have to do is hold sneak and right click each trade bar and it will auto max trade each one.
