I have had 4 selmer mark vi's and my favourite is the 1963 I have. I think like you said Scott, the long bows are definitely the best.

WoW. I just got one at a garage sale as well, last weekend. Mine is a relaq. Because there is no serial # on the neck, dose that mean the neck is not original? If not how can I tell if neck is original.

Was it normal for the Mark VI to have a metal thumb hook?
Yes. Until around 1967 they had brass thumb hooks. Thanks!
