- The Alabama turkey season is in, turkeys are gobbling and the weather and fellowship is great... It's also the first year of the Can't Stop The Flop Campaign. So, enjoy one of the inagural hunts of The Greatest Turkey Hunting Campaign of All Time while we hit the woods with our longtime buddy Joey Massingale. We're bringing some of our raw and unused files to youtube so that you can see more of the hunt than what fits in a Bone Collector episode.
good job! fighting purrs was truly playing the ace up the sleeve! 9.5 times out of 10 when they adjust their wings on their back like they did, he's leaving. And fast. Pulling them back in was great!

To Michael: I see at the 9 min 45 sec mark you were commenting on how those "fighting purrs" you did made them come a runnin'.. Well I had the opportunity this spring (2023) to take the managing editor of the "Maine Sportsman" magazine out on a hunt and the EXACT same thing happened to me..
I called in a couple longbeards at 6:00am but for some reason they skirted our set up and wandered off after a couple hens that had come in from the opposite direction so we pulled off our masks and recounted what had just happened, watching the birds til they were almost out of sight about a hundred yds away. Knowing they weren't coming back, I told him it was time for my "Ace in the Hole" card so we masked back up and I started a loud, raucous series of fighting purrs on my slate and I'll tell you what... it got the old boss hen that had intercepted them and drug them off all bent out of shape and you could hear them all come a runnin' through the leaves!! Didn't take them 30 seconds and they were all at 12 steps and the editor dropped a solid 21 pounder and barely missed another.
Fighting purrs, baby!! And dude.... i LOVE those 'CAN'T STOP THE FLOP' hats!! Camo with red, white & black patch. I WANT ONE but they're not on the BC site. 😭

Unfortunately you can see clear as day at 4:27 that the man's Benelli bolt is out of battery. Got bumped or he didn't let the bolt close with enough force most likely. The detent on the Ethos bolt solves this problem and/or there are some aftermarket mods you can do.

You could see his bolt was not closed all the way way before he clicked
