Mac Pettit or comparison of you performance recording with you new tires vs without, do you plan to do a cold air? I’m curious if there is true gains to be made or if it’s within the noise.
Damn I love this channel. I jump around from old to new vids. Specially since I’m getting a corvette in 3 months. Also saw a comment hinting a new C8. That would bring great content, get a nice 3LT trim man. 🤘🏻
Get the track brake air deflector or run hoses. The air deflector that comes with the car comes off with 3 screws. Don’t touch the suspension for track. If anything replace the bushings but leave the doings and dampers alone.
Just thought I would add some input.. I have a pair of 305/35/r18 for dragracing on the rear of my 18 SS non 1le with no issues. Love your car though I can't wait to do some of the mods you have
Add spacers, get a tire with bigger sidewall to reduce gap and increase comfort and straight line acceleration like on the ZL1 1LE. 1LE has 19s though. Maybe L1E 19s would have been a better choice and would have fit better
A comparison video between the SS 1LE, Mustang GT PP2 and the Challenger Scat Pack Widebody (6MT) would be a phenomenal video. I don't think anyone has put these mid level "track" packages against each other.
Bad luck!! I knew it, they will not fit. Any way don’t be sad, add some spacers. 3 mm front 5-6 mm back or more if you can change the bolts. Good luck 🍀
Like the final set for sure ✊See you track your car and mine I drive it but I keep it like a diamond 💎. I would have cleaned up the wheel wells and ceramic coated the wheels and calipers. You still can at home 🤔Well anyway they look great ✊
Don’t F with the magnaride settings. The rebound and compression ratios are preset and tuned to maximize their potential. If you’re going to lower the ride height, bite the bullet and go with a quality coil over. Believe me, you will regret fucking with the engineered in presets with the magna ride shocks.
I just fully converted to 18in rims on both my axles today. I’m running 18x10.5 rims on my rears with 305/40r18 Mickey Thompson ET S/S and for a while I stayed with the stock fronts. Today I just installed the Laguna Weld Racing Rims sized 18x8 with a 245/45r18 Nitto NT555 and man did I feel a huge difference. The car feels like it turns a lot more smoothly now and it feels like it can finally catch up speed properly. I kinda wished I knew that I could have gone a little bit more taller on the side wall but I’m going to run with the fronts like that for now. I would want to lower my Camaro but I’m just worried about scraping my car on potholes and speedbumps and all that. Maybe someone could give me recommendations for lower my car.
Love the color, I believe Blue is the best color on a Camaro just my opinion as my 2019 is Riverside blue metallic. Is that a after Market spoiler ? If so who did you order it from thank you.
I really wanted to do something unique, I felt like everyone would expect me to go with ZLE wheels, I will probably end up going back to my SS 1LE wheels soon though, they are just too good
Yeah, what I was wondering. From the video, the tires look like F: P295/30-R18. R: P305/30-R18. From another video, he lists the wheels as F: 18X11 +11 offset. R: 18X12 +41 offset. I figure the wheel backspace as 6.43" front and 8.11" rear. It's a tight fit. Don't know if he added spacers or not.
Good try, close, i haven't read all feedback yet...this is not a hater response....how old is this post? I like the 19`s vs going with 18`s, or just sticking with stock 1LE 20 inch rim set up or to go to option with ZL1 1LE 19`s set up ...wasn't too sure what you would achieve by your choice in this tire/wheel mod only....you probably needed an alignment that you did not address as well....
I know you’re not worry about looks when tracking the car but 19’s and 18’s looks well stupid on our cars. Great vid except for the music was loud. Good luck.
Hey man, comments like the music actually really help, trying to improve the videos vs the last ones I use to make 👍 And at first I completely agreed, but over the past week it’s grown on me a bit, may still end up going back to the SS1LE wheels soon
Hi quick question, on a 2017 Camaro SS1 LE when changing brake pads do the rotors have to be changed as well or can they just make the cut on the rotors????
Obviously you used the wrong size tires - way wrong. There should be no difference in the overall height of the tire if you had chosen the correct tire and thus there would be no difference in the fender gap. It would have been helpful to state the wheel widths, offsets and tire sizes up front in the video and in the video comments above. Why was the finish coming off the wheels? Are they used?
Not a fan. Don't care for the poke on the front wheels and it seems to cause more hassle than it's worth. Now you need spacers, cutting deflectors and lower the car. Lets not talk about the flaking powder coat. Just seems like a bad fit. Take them off and hope to find someone that will want them. Go back to the 1LE's
There are definitely some benefits to the 18’s, I just really wanted to do something unique instead of buying ZL1 1LE wheels, these A052’s are awesome though!
Tjere os to much space between the tire and the fender ,you lost 2inch and your gearing has changed from smaller wheels. I would of installed wider tires on the 20 inch wheels.
Big camaro fan, hope to own one someday. I enjoy your videos and edits. Keep up the good work, I’ll be here as this channel grows 👍🏻
Hey thanks so much man! Any suggestions on a video I should make next?
Mac Pettit there’s really no good comparison videos as far as 6th gen vs 6th gen refresh interior and exterior?
Mac Pettit or comparison of you performance recording with you new tires vs without, do you plan to do a cold air? I’m curious if there is true gains to be made or if it’s within the noise.
Aye man I dont hope to own the camaro some day. I will own it soon

I love the Magnaride, and I already have trouble with speed bumps as it is lolol

I think I may have gone a bit to crazy on the offset of my wheels haha have plans to fix it though in the next two weeks!

I definitely want to try to compare the PP2 and the Camaro, I think it would be awesome to get those two cars together
Just got a 2SS and can’t wait to do all this kind of stuff to it
Hell yeah! It’s such a great platform, these chassis’s are rock solid
The camaro have u heard something on the 2021 camaro zl1 horsepower yet
Mac Pettit so u put on 18 inches on the camaro ss 1le
Marco Jordan should be that same 650 right?
The camaro kid where is the z28 camaro at that car not in the lineup
Looks good but the stock 1le wheels looks better in my opinion
Parmvir singh ....I agree, I have a 2018 2SS 1LE and I like the stock ones so much I have no desire to change them
Chief Goose yup and I have 2017 camaro 1ss, and I wanna get those or the z28 styled wheels
Looks mismatched, not worth the weight saving... rubbing, wheel gap, speedo is off, looks like you got a set from a completely different car.
Yeah, I feel like with the Wider Arches on the ZLE it fits a lot better, but hey I had to give it a shot! Good thing they will also fit on a C8 0_0
Your camaro looks great. I would put some spacers on and maybe change the wheel studs. Gears job
Bad luck!!
I knew it, they will not fit.
Any way don’t be sad, add some spacers.
3 mm front
5-6 mm back or more if you can change the bolts.
Good luck 🍀
Yup, we will find a way to make it work!
Looks real good the new ones👍
Like the final set for sure ✊See you track your car and mine I drive it but I keep it like a diamond 💎. I would have cleaned up the wheel wells and ceramic coated the wheels and calipers. You still can at home 🤔Well anyway they look great ✊
Thanks a ton! Yeah I tend to destroy ever car I touch haha its all part of the process tho!
Just ordered torin red rims and 245/55/R18 for Camaro coming off is low profile tires with 24s
I have eibach lowering springs which are perfect with magneride. Feels like normal and it's not too much drop
i would go with longer wheel studs and use 5 mm hub centric spacers all four corners for track only
Please add the wheel and tire sirva including offsets... Thanks great channel BTW!

I agree with this, making a change today that should fix this issue
Don't mess with the magnaride suspension. Should have done some square 19 inch wheels. Apex etc
I really wanted to do something completely unique, had a chance to buy some Apex's but passed to get these, learn by experience right? haha
Looks great 👍🏽 👌
Thanks man! Really appriciate it, it's been growing on me day by day
We subbed , we also make car content fam check us out

Idk anything about the tires , but my opinion is the 1LE stock rims look better
The tires are INNNSane, such a night and day difference! And yeah, im not sold on the wheel's either, had to try though!
Love the color, I believe Blue is the best color on a Camaro just my opinion as my 2019 is Riverside blue metallic. Is that a after Market spoiler ? If so who did you order it from thank you.
Nope the wing comes stock on the SS1LE!
Look good car for the environment and the other is a great way to get the best outcome paint.
Not a fan of the 18”s. I would stick with the stock SS 1LE wheels. I would do a ZL1 1LE 19” if you really wanted to go lighter and wider.
I really wanted to do something unique, I felt like everyone would expect me to go with ZLE wheels, I will probably end up going back to my SS 1LE wheels soon though, they are just too good
@@macpettit2327 get fatter tires
Brand new wheels peeling like that?
Have them repaired and powder coated. I would have it done right and be done with it. I had mine done and it’s worth it.✊💎
Yeah, the only thing is they will get destroyed on track anyway, so not too worried, just want to make them presentable lol
1LE stock wheels are much better. The concave look and the graphite color makes it look much harder
The exhaust tips not sitting flush against your bumper doesnt bother you at all?
Now that you pointed it out I notice it! lol
@@macpettit2327 sorry dude, just have OCD I guess lol
Why not Hoosier’s? What size tires and width rims did you install?
Yeah, what I was wondering. From the video, the tires look like F: P295/30-R18. R: P305/30-R18. From another video, he lists the wheels as F: 18X11 +11 offset. R: 18X12 +41 offset. I figure the wheel backspace as 6.43" front and 8.11" rear. It's a tight fit. Don't know if he added spacers or not.
The final setup just manage to put it mann
What's the advantages of smaller rims? 🤔
I like the rims but I feel like they're too small on the car
Car looks like a buff guy who skips leg day now.

What wheels are these bro or where did you get them?
Put a spacer rather than hacking on your car. I would not pit wheels that don't fit. Keep 20s
Which light setup so you have on the back? I'm looking to upgrade my stock taillights on my 2016 and like the way yours look
Did you end up going with lowering springs or coilovers? I don't see a video on your channel saying anything about that
I know you’re not worry about looks when tracking the car but 19’s and 18’s looks well stupid on our cars. Great vid except for the music was loud. Good luck.

Great video! Would you sell your 1le rims?
Obviously you used the wrong size tires - way wrong. It would have been helpful to state the wheel widths, offsets and tire sizes up front in the video and in the video comments above. Why was the finish coming off the wheels? Are they used?
I would never change the wheel size on this car especially to something smaller. No way.
Main reason is weight savings, roughly 50 lbs vs the stock set up with wider tires as well
Why did you drop rim size to 18
From 20"
Do you have any hot start issues with your ss?
Would the wheels on the zl1 1le be a better fit for your car?
It would have the same poke, but I would not have the same issue that I have currently on the knuckle, I'm a bit torn on what to do with the wheels
Any speedmonitor issue?
Will you sale those ss 1le wheels?
The wheel looks damn goood
idk to me the car looked much better with the original wheels on it
Why 18”?
Brian L mainly weight
How much are u saving ? From the 20 to the 18?
@@brianlugo5107 im running 18x10.5 apex sm-10s and it saves 30-35lbs of unsprung weight, which is huge in these cars
Where do u think I could get the 1LE wheels
Windhammer sells them, but forums would be your cheapest option

what is your tire size?
295 front and 315 rears, A052's run really wide compared to other tires tho
So you wanna sell the old ones lol
I may keep them still trying to decide!
Keep em bro
Keep them
Get some 19’s

Soon! Have a list of video's that I am checking off one by one! lol
@@macpettit2327 Can't wait for that one, as I also have 2018 SS 1LE and I've been following your build very closely. :)
