I just bought 20×11 +43 rear rims with 315/30 R20 mch pilot sport 4s tires on my 2017 1SS Camaro. I have no spacers on and they work perfect with zero rubbing
I love seeing people stuff real tires under cars. I had to widen the hell out of my car, but I'm running R888's 335/30R18 square on my WRX. I did all the calculations and added the appropriate supporting mods along with custom fabbed
what offset did you get? i’m dropped about an inch on my 2011 ss. trying to run 10” up front and 11” in the rear but i can’t find any thing about offset recommendations
Hi Matt I put the OEM GM ZL1 rim on my 2SS Camaro rears and there`s lots of room to install the stock tires Goodyears Rear 305/30.R20 Front 285/30/R20 Front won`t be a prob. No Spacers needed .Thx! gunner
Haha never mind I just checked and they did rub on the harness it didn't rub all the way just past the first layer of tubing just relocated it and sealed it off thanks for this video glad I watched it saved me a lot of problems bro
Did you still have to relocated the wiring harness with the spacer or you didn’t use one ? I payed 2300 for rims and Tires for my 5th Gen and I crash a few days later. Tried to put the on the new car 2018 SS and deff did not fit without the spacer. They are 315 in the back 275 in the front
If the wheel is on the the hub a good amount you should be ok. I learned the hard way in my old Monte Carlo with a Big Block Chevy 402. Did a dry hop and sheared all my right rear wheel studs off. So ya, been there done that. Those tires look awesome on there.
I just watched your video again because I’m getting ready to get some 315s on my 17 2SS. I remembered you said yours fit. Q1) if you hadn’t lowered your Camaro would you still need spacers? I think yours is lowered. Q2) Since installing the 315s have you noticed any problems or difference in handling compared to the 305s? Thanks!!
they do fit on all stock set up I added 315- 35- 20 on my 2016 2ss a little rub when I first take off but after 1 second nothing even when I park it and take of again do to my magnetic ride adjusting
If you really want to see if it fits then remove the springs, disconnect the shocks and then raise the wheel up into the fender well using a floor jack. Those are going to rub at full droop for sure. Could use more inside offset on the wheel but you don't have the room for that.
Thank you so much for all the details. How is the car hooking up now with these tires in first gear? And how much slower does the car feel on top end? I would love to see the weight comparison between this setup and stock wheel and tire.
Matt you did a very good job, Yes i love big tires on the back, Awesome! and i think from what you are saying about the finger space you will be fine but you are wise like you said to keep an eye on it. Thanks for bringing us along on your build.
Matt, great video man, a lot of people are going to use this video as they see fit, and please believe most will add wheel/ tire combo before most mods if you consider this a car mod, I had s gen 3 mustang gt with cobra R rims with spacers hub centric, no issues. Keep up the work and roll out!
Later this is Reginald Roundtree out of Norfolk do I need a spacer for 10 and 1/2 Rim 2 and 1/2 10 and a half inch rim in the back with 3:15 on the back do I need a spacer for that or will it fit fine I don't have no lowering spring just to factory set up but 10 and a half inch rims in the back
I have a 2000 firebird and I install rear 20" rims and a tire size 315 35 20, front 20" 275 40 20, but when I turn the front tires rubb inside the wheel wells. I think I need 30's in front for them not to rubb.
Matt are you aware if this is any different for the 1LE specifically, I know you do your research, some guys are posting 335 on rears of 6th gen 1le with the eibach lowering and report no rubbing, yet you are rubbing your 2ss with 315, any feedback would be great thx!
Lethal, I have magna ride on my 1LE too, how does the Eibach springs affect it? I'm extremely hesitant on messing with the suspension because of how good it is, I'd hate to make it worse just because i want to be lower
Hi Matt I have a 2018 Camaro 2SS will a OEM GM ZL1 rim with the stock tire sizes front 285/30/r20 and rear is 305/30/r20 fit without spaces. Thx gunner Love your videos!
I have a 2014 Camaro SS and my offset are 10” rims ( front ) 11” ( rear ) I use Continnetal extreme contact DSW 275 “ ( front ) and 315 ( rear ) and they don’t rub but from what I’ve been told the wheel well in the 5th gen is deeper than the 6th , is this true ?
I put a 325/30/20 on my 2014 2SS with 2014 11inch 1LE wheels...my 2019 2ss have 2018 ZL1 wheels(custom) 12 inch wide with 305/30/20 with 40 offset I'm wondering if I can get a 315/30/20 tire on there
Hey Matt - Just got the M017 wheels and looking at tire size options while my car is in winter storage. What did you use for lug nuts on the M017 wheel? Thanks in advance. Bill
I just bought 20x11 +43 rear rims wrapped in 315/30x20 mch pilot sport 4s tires. I have no spacers and didnt remove any wire harnesses and there is zero rubbing!
would this work if my camaro is at a stock height and i got 20”x11 wheels and 5mm spacers for the 315/30/20??? and would i need the spacers too to put 285s in the front?
i didn't think you would have had much issue with the rear fronts diffrent story im one still working on running 315 on all 4 corners of my 5th gen currently no spacers... not recommended unless measured to the t... ty...
I've just ordered a set of 20" Giovanna's. 9" wide in the front and 10.5" in the back. I would like to stuff 315's in the back. I've seen a set of tires I like, but I believe the thickness is greater since they are a 35z. Has anyone stuffed a 315/35z 20" in the back? Just curious. The set I found also includes 295/30z 20" tires for the front. My offsets are 30" in the front and 35" in the back. I'm also still sitting on stock suspension. Would these dimension fit? Any tips would be helpful.
Hey how you doing I'm a X mustang guy and I had a question for you I recently bought a 2018 ss1le and I am not sure where to get custom parts from I used to go to American Muscle for my Mustang what would you recommend by the way good job on your videos
dude I shit you not. I just bought a 2011 Camaro ss yesterday and I also bought the zl1 repleca wheels. I was gonna go with 305s but you just changed my mind.
You can put all different widths of tires on the same rims.. I have some skinny boys stretched on my stock wheels right now and it looks dope some shops dont wanna do wierd shit but mexican llanterna shops give no fucks. You can put ones that are too wide on there too they just flex a lot on the side wall
We're those 5 mm wheel spacers you put on your SS Camaro to fit 315's?...I'm puting Nitto 555 G2 315 on my 2021 SS Camaro with Camaro 28Z rims...hopefully they'll fit...what offset will work and tire side wall 30 or 35?
With 5mm spacers can i stuff 315/35/20 gonna grab the michelin pilot sport 4. I have 285/35/20 in front on pilot sport 4s. Im Lowered with eibach pro kit. I want 315/30/20 but Michelin only makes it 35 tall :(. I have the 1ss no mag ride! OR DO I NEED TO BACK TO STOCK SPRINGS FOR THAT. Thanks for your input as always
Hey there, where did you get your spacers? I have the MRR 1LE replicas with 305/30/20 in the rear on the 11" rim and I'm getting a very slight rub. Going to move my wire harness this weekend but would like to avoid buying a new wheel well liner. Hasn't rubbed through.
Matt What size tire can i go up to for both front and rear on my gen 6 1ss on the stock size rims? I do have the 5mm spacer on all 4 wheels because i like the look. I'm not looking to beef it up like yours although that size looks damn good. The springs are stock. Also i love the rims you currently have on your car. Do you have a video or a link on where i can buy them?
Hey Man I am looking to replace my summer tires with all seasons and wanted to get the G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S Can I do 275/35/20 on the front and 305/35/20 on the rear with 20x10 27mm and 20x11 40mm wheels with no issues or will it rub or cause other issues? Thank you. I have a 2017 SS
Awesome video thank you. I also own a 50th anniversary ss. I’m looking at putting 305/35/20 on rears and 285/35/20 on fronts. I should not need spacers right? I am not planning on lowering the car for at least another 30k miles so will the 35s fill the gap nicely between top of tire and bottom of wheel well?
+Lethal Couldn't one just order a wheel in the same width but with a +38 offset in lieu of using spacers if that is a concern? I know a lot of the forged wheel manufacturers will build to spec. Just curious.
I have a 2018 ZL1 and bought some vossen wheels that came with 315 35 r20 perelli's. Will I need a spacer in the back to fit these on? And should I reroute the wire harness?
If my car came with factory 21” ? Yeah I know 2013 dusk edition. So spacers mute point then? Thanks bud hope family is doing well. Again 🙏 sent. I came back to the video for more thoughts. Thanks 🙏 again
@@Lethalgarage that is exactly why they are staying stacked up in the garage. Besides the price point on tires for 21” is not kind. Everyone was all excited about GM putting these rims out on the “special edition” cars ( 2013 Dusk , 2014 Spring edition) they were overpriced and hard to shop around on tires. Then the word was out , unless you want a show car, 21” wheels and tires are a waist of time and money to keep replacing rubber. Definitely worth keeping whenever your car is 1/307 of 1012 made. (Dusk) Since mine doesn’t have the moonroof option, I’m sure that the 307 number would reduce as well but getting “ Gm’s Heritage” page to respond is like watching paint dry. Gotta have faith that I get that build count one day.
I just bought 20×11 +43 rear rims with 315/30 R20 mch pilot sport 4s tires on my 2017 1SS Camaro. I have no spacers on and they work perfect with zero rubbing
I'm looking to do the exact same setup, what size do you have in the front?
sorry for late question but did they make a noticeable difference in traction?
@@ProGen6 yes. On warm days they hook fantastic! Not so much on cold days which is to be expected
I have 315 35 20 nittos on my 2014 zl1 and never had a problem and actually makes it look bad ass
The ZL1s are also about 3inches wider than SSs. So they fit bigger tires better
This 6th gen chassis is phenomenal. I mean look at the size wheel/tire you can stuff in there and not have it protrude obnoxiously. Impressed.
Absolutely great video..... This will help alot of gen6 owners!
The rear wheel wells actually surprised me, I'm running 325s in the rear for my track set with plenty of space, though mine are Sport Cup 2s.
+Millertime555 By the dimensions, I am finding our R888 are like 320's if not more.
Millertime555 trying to run 325 sport cup on billet wheels. Only get 4 full turns on lug nuts. Did you have to get longer wheel studs??
They look great!!! Wider tires in rear of muscle cars just look fn good. I have 335/30zr18 bfg rivals on my 98z28
I love seeing people stuff real tires under cars. I had to widen the hell out of my car, but I'm running R888's 335/30R18 square on my WRX. I did all the calculations and added the appropriate supporting mods along with custom fabbed
*custom fabbed parts to make it all work properly. Car sticks to the road like a barnacle on ship!
275 40 20 on front and 315 35 20 s on stock ss rims for a v6 all day 2010 camaro
Dam, thats pushing it to the max...😄
I Have 335/25/20s on rear of my 2014 SS dropped 1.5 so yeah 315s will fit
what offset did you get? i’m dropped about an inch on my 2011 ss. trying to run 10” up front and 11” in the rear but i can’t find any thing about offset recommendations
I forget dimensions there 12 inch 20s a 335/zr20 or 25s should fit on your car They fit on the 6cyl and 6.2..11' inch will take 335s to dropped 1.5
20x11 with 335s sound good! Would like to see how it looks. My daughters 5th gen car is stock height as of bow
Hi Matt I put the OEM GM ZL1 rim on my 2SS Camaro rears and there`s lots of room to install the stock tires Goodyears Rear 305/30.R20 Front 285/30/R20 Front won`t be a prob.

is there any rubbing?
Rub or not, those tire look great!

I put 315s on mines as well! Might drop it down to 305’s to get rid of the spacers
they will, fit em on a 10.5 inch wide rear tire, works fine

Looks good! I run 315 35 17 NT55R's on my 4th gen Z28 with no spacers and no rubbing issues.
+jaime it's a 17 ;)
Man the tires gives your camaro that look. AWESOME!!!!

Keep checking, I have seen several wheel and tires setups that still rub on the left rear. That looks awesome BTW. Can't wait to get my ZL1 in.
You can actually still get them rotated it would just be a lot of work for the tire shop as they would just have to remove the tire and flip it.
Wow that is a sick amount of rubber ! I was kinda shocked how much wider the 315s are !
The R888's are a bit wider than other 315's
And they look amazing ! Or is that more amazinger?
+MojaveKY both?
I can work with that !
Your tires are wider then my 67 Camaro's. I didn't know that was possible without cutting. Cool
+Alberto Sanchez always ways to make it happen
I would have not done that and now you may have to get mud guards to protect from road derby. Body lift or suspension lift may be your next option.
Rock guards yes, all the rest, hell no
Matt you did a very good job, Yes i love big tires on the back, Awesome! and i think from what you are saying about the finger space you will be fine but you are wise like you said to keep an eye on it. Thanks for bringing us along on your build.
Thanks man and I have an update video coming.
Geeez I didn’t realize how much wider a 315 was compared to a 305, is it just because of the brand or are all brands the same in comparison?
Depends on the side wall height as well
I just bought an R20 with a width of 10 in the front and 11 in the back. What advice do you have for a 2015 Camaro V6 3.6 LS?
I have a question, are the wheel wells for ss 1LE wider than a normal SS? because they come stock with 305's in the back.
Was wondering the same question..
How well does it hook from a dig now? Thinking of getting these for my 17 ZL1.
Matt, great video man, a lot of people are going to use this video as they see fit, and please believe most will add wheel/ tire combo before most mods if you consider this a car mod, I had s gen 3 mustang gt with cobra R rims with spacers hub centric, no issues. Keep up the work and roll out!
Would you need spacers for 305 35 22s all around? And guards?
I have 265 30 22 and 285 30 22 with I believe a 3-5 mm spacer and I ride smooth af
How’s this setup working? You ever get a smaller spacer! Any help or tips would be highly appreciated!
I ran 3mm spacers in the rear for final fit. Been on a drag pack for the last 2 years.

Good Video!!
I have a 2012 SS Camaro
Front: 245/45ZR20
Rear: 275/40ZR20
Would it be safe to go with 255 on the front & 285 or 295 on the rear??
Looks beautiful! Walking on sunshine n moonlight
Matt are you aware if this is any different for the 1LE specifically, I know you do your research, some guys are posting 335 on rears of 6th gen 1le with the eibach lowering and report no rubbing, yet you are rubbing your 2ss with 315, any feedback would be great thx!
Could You tell what rims (ET) do You use for that 315mm tires /
Car looks great. I want to put 22" rims on my new Camaro ss. what's the stickiest tire for 22" rims? All I can find is 20" Thanks
lamar holmes there's no point in racing it with dub duces . my 392 has 22 inch viper wheels 335 in the rear fit perfect. but bigger car still moves to
What kind of times are you getting with those tires?
Is a 305 good without a spacer? I dont wanna deal with rerouting the harness? Using same wheels are you
Matt, what is the exact tire size? Love those...
315/30/20
LethalGarage thank you my brother
Nice 👍🏾
You should put LED t8 tube lights in your garage SHOPLIGHT. You'll have much more lights in your videos
ive got the 6th gen, and ive really thought about doing somthing like this.
Did you use springs (what type and specs) and and what was the full specs of the Toyo tires you used for the rear ? 2017 2SS here
I'm gonna throw some 305/35/20's on my rear with 1" drop and 6mm spacers. Should I still be worried about moving that harness?
Lethal, I have magna ride on my 1LE too, how does the Eibach springs affect it? I'm extremely hesitant on messing with the suspension because of how good it is, I'd hate to make it worse just because i want to be lower
+RinksChannel I love it on my SS. But I have no idea how it changes the 1LE. Being the suspension is different and the mag ride is tuned differently.
Hi Matt I have a 2018 Camaro 2SS will a OEM GM ZL1 rim with the stock tire sizes front 285/30/r20 and rear is 305/30/r20 fit without spaces. Thx gunner
Love your videos!
Question , Does the tires makes a difference with how the car rides , how comfortable it is when you drive it?
+Mo Lo oh yes. These tires have the ride a lot smoother. Over the P-Zeros I took off.
Bill
What wheel tire combo will you be running on your second gen camaro
Sledgehammer 70 is a is that 315 on a 10 inch 10 and a half inch rim is that the stock setup on the Camaro
im surpeised you needed a spacer for 315's. was it just the rim type you bought? my friend put 345/25/20 (Rear) on his 370Z.
lol every car is different.
LethalGarage haha, right but thought the Camaros body was wider. Guess it would be more of the Offset to fit the wheel. Badass car brother.
Hey man do you think a 305/35/20 will fit with a spacer in the back I don’t want any rub
I have a 6gen 1ss and I bought some 315/40 18” tires. I know I need too run a spacer but do I have too move any wiring harnesses for a 1ss?
You should 🙄
I just bought 20x11 +43 rear rims wrapped in 315/30x20 mch pilot sport 4s tires. I have no spacers and didnt remove any wire harnesses and there is zero rubbing!
Is it better to just buy the 11 in wheel or can you get yours widened I'm haveing traction issues
would this work if my camaro is at a stock height and i got 20”x11 wheels and 5mm spacers for the 315/30/20??? and would i need the spacers too to put 285s in the front?
315 fits no problem
i didn't think you would have had much issue with the rear fronts diffrent story im one still working on running 315 on all 4 corners of my 5th gen currently no spacers... not recommended unless measured to the t... ty...
+AGhostRiderR I would do 295 if I did a square setup
Looks killer Matt! And they said it could not happen
+P-and-A Photos ;)
hey I got the z28 mmr rims on my 5th gen and they are currently on 285s my question is would the rims fit on 305s ?
Matt, your ride is looking super tight. With those fat tires it looks tough.
+grijalvaIc I love the look
Do you think its safe to put 315/35R20 on mrr m017 wheels with no magnetic control ?
What kind of spoiler is that? By the way bad ass ride brother!🤘
Anvil Auto's custom spoiler
Hey I have a 2016 camaro ss do you think I could run a 295/30r20 tire on a 20x10.5 wheel up front without any problems?
I have a 2010 SS...could I put 305's on my stock rims??
Huge fan . Just got a 2016 1ss . On my stock wheel if I use the same brand tire what is the widest I can go ? Safely
probably 295 on the rear, but it will bulge and 265 in the front.
Was there ever a updated video to this Matt?
What wheel setup do you have? Looks good man.
Those are some serious asphalt grinders!
+kephafan ;)
Will a 20x10 & 20x11 wheels fit a 2017 Camaro LT 2.0 5x120.65

well the 5th gen has different clearances. But I am fairly sure you have more room on the 5th gen over the 6th gen.
Even better , I'll let you know
you can fit 335/30/20 on a 5th gen with an 11 inch wide rear
Holy fucking shit lol
Will 265/30/22 fit in the front of a ss or would 265/40/22 work
How does a wider tire fit on the same rim?
+Bubba Junior the 11" rim I have is made for 315's. Just couldn't afford the tire I wanted at the time, so I went with 305's.

35 tall will rub in the rear if your lowered, if you're stock height you should be good.
I'm sorry Bro, but looks funky the tire sticking out, and there's not much side wall, are those 315x35x20's ??
+Jimmy T ??? 315/30/20 and they look amazing. ;)
I'm gonna go with Mickey Thompson 305s with stock rims for 2011 camaro till I get new rims
Quick Z you going to mount a 305 on a 9.5"?
Cory Craig yup
+Cory Craig It's 9 not 9.5
the front rims are 9 rears are 10 unless you have the 1le then they are 10 front 10 rear I have both sets
Colin Chaloux huh I thought it was 8.5 front 9.5 rear
Hey there, where did you get your spacers? I have the MRR 1LE replicas with 305/30/20 in the rear on the 11" rim and I'm getting a very slight rub. Going to move my wire harness this weekend but would like to avoid buying a new wheel well liner. Hasn't rubbed through.

I'm not looking to beef it up like yours although that size looks damn good. The springs are stock. Also i love the rims you currently have on your car. Do you have a video or a link on where i can buy them?
With stock wheels, I wouldn’t go bigger than 10mm wider.
@@Lethalgarage thanks for the quick reply! Are those rims weld s77?
Hey Man I am looking to replace my summer tires with all seasons and wanted to get the G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S Can I do 275/35/20 on the front and 305/35/20 on the rear with 20x10 27mm and 20x11 40mm wheels with no issues or will it rub or cause other issues? Thank you. I have a 2017 SS
+IrishSJ23 I am not sure
If you wanna keep it wide you put some fenders on it and it'll be fine.
+Illume It shouldn’t. I have the same tire width on my 1LE.
Dave Cabansay I just did this set up and I'm having ABS and traction control issues...any advice??
Hey matt , how many miles on your camaro ? will you make owner impression video?
+Mo Lo I have 11k, yeah I have my.full review coming.
let me know what you're going to do about the rocks cuz I'm having the same problem right now it's chipping the paint
rock/splash guards from ZL1addons
What brand tires are they? And the numbers please?
+Lethal Couldn't one just order a wheel in the same width but with a +38 offset in lieu of using spacers if that is a concern? I know a lot of the forged wheel manufacturers will build to spec. Just curious.
+christian falcon the tire will still buldge and rub.
+Lethal you're the man! thanks dude.
Do you think you could get away with spacers so the rears are perfectly flush??
+ProjectRecon1 possibly. I am going to try 3mm and 4mm spacers for the heck of it.
I have a 2018 ZL1 and bought some vossen wheels that came with 315 35 r20 perelli's. Will I need a spacer in the back to fit these on? And should I reroute the wire harness?
If it’s the same offset as the 1LE wheels then no
What if my car is not lowered? How much better would they fit. Maybe smaller spcer?
+M Lewis The lowering aspect isn't what caused the need for spacers. It's all about how wide the tires are and how big the wheels are.
Hey lethal would this set up work with a 1ss non magnetic ride or only carmaros with magnetic ride
It should
If my car came with factory 21” ? Yeah I know 2013 dusk edition. So spacers mute point then? Thanks bud hope family is doing well. Again 🙏 sent.
I came back to the video for more thoughts. Thanks 🙏 again
I have no idea about 21" wheels.
(Dusk)
Since mine doesn’t have the moonroof option, I’m sure that the 307 number would reduce as well but getting “ Gm’s Heritage” page to respond is like watching paint dry. Gotta have faith that I get that build count one day.
Bad ass ride brother!
