  • York Regional Police say they have issued a Canada-wide warrant in connection with a suspect wanted for first-degree murder of an Ontario real estate agent whose remains were found burned.
Police said the warrant has been issued for 47-year-old Zhixiong Marko Hu for the disappearance and murder of Markham, Ont. woman Yuk-Ying Anita Mui, 56.
On Aug. 9, Mui was reported missing by her family after they had not heard from her, police said. Police called the disappearance at the time “suspicious” because the woman, who spoke regularly with her family, had been unreachable for days.
    Global's Shallima Maharaj reports.

Anita was a mother, a wife, and a sister. She worked extremely hard and she made the correct decisions in life that allowed her to succeed. It's unfair that this jerk has stolen her life from her. I hope that her soul can find peace.

I was viewing an apartment once about 12yrs ago, the owner/landlords were husband and wife, and the wife was showing the apartment. Once I arrived, she called her husband & told him she was showing the apartment to me, by name, and she'd check back within half hour. I thought that was pretty smart - I've been alone in empty houses with some female realtors before & always considered what a risk they take. I actually got her to take a pic of my driver's license & email it to her husband, which she did. I wanted them to feel at ease & I really wanted the apartment - and got it.
Realtors, male or female, should adopt bodycam tech to protect themselves. Stream all private showings to a secure server in case something happens. Or, at least have a panic button.

You are the only person who has common sense by bringing up an important issue. There have been many, many cases of realtor agents around the world became like this, not just in Canada. This system must change.

And many times work in man-woman teams would help as well. One of my relatives is a real estate agent and she has a policy that she only shows properties by herself in busy areas, areas with surveillance within the city. Any remote areas, she would team up with her male colleague for the showing.

As a fellow senior .. let's get this straight. I remember taking some wee pride when Canada hit the 15 million mark.. so I was aware of 13 and 14. The per cent of BIG CITY dwellers was a fraction of today. We are at 40 million now. My family tree roots are in MASS migration. 1780 to 1810 .. Loyalists, refugees from the US Revolution. So many that they separated Nova Scotia to create New Brunswick for them, They divided Canada into Upper and Lower to accommodate Loyalists in Upper Canada. Then a mass migration of Irish and Scots Irish and Scots. In the Laurier years .. 1896 to 1911 .. the great wave of Ukrainians and Poles was no match for the wave of English. So large that the Canadian Army was mostly English born lads who arrive here at 2 or 7 or 11 or 14 years. The Canadian Army in WWI did not have a Canadian born majority until the first wave of Brits had taken the heavy toll... 1917. I do not know who you are. but if you are not indigenous native Cdn, the odds are likely that your ancestors arrived in a mass migration ... and if not.. then you are the unicorn, black swan.. the exception. Can we assume that when you say MASS MIGRATION .. you are trying to say NON WHITE ,, NON EUROPEAN ? Murder was rarer in a smaller country with a smaller population. But it was awash in mass migration. Remember all the British and Scots accents in the streets of Toronto in our school days ? As a senior you can probably remember when a lot of people were bigots.. Catholic / Protestant. English speaking and French...and some of that bigotry persists to this day doesn't it Mr User -hk

The guy has long gone and out of Hong Kong given how super fast the Canadain police at catching stolen cars. Having lived in Hong Kong for a few decades, the Hong Kong authorities won't find him. There are too many avenues to leave. And by the time they get moving, he has long gone. Why should the HK police move? Aren't there some wanted people in Canada too?

Remember Chinese 🇨🇳 Chairman Mao? Here's what he did:
    - He renounced ancient Chinese cultures, including Confucious and Buddhism, which value kindness and tolerance.
    - He eliminated all intellectuals, land owners, and rich and famous people.
    - He demanded the youths to condemn their parents and neighbors publicly, usually in front of a crowd.
    - what he had left were uneducated laborers, poor peasants, and mean youths. *Those are the ancestors of the current mainland Chinese today.*
