@@Matt-kun I think this is because of common beliefs in society about how should men and women be like... kinda "a man should be serious, strong and must love women" and "a woman must be beautiful and should love men". Unfortunalely, most people are not used to it and they think that homosexuality is something unnatural, something against religion rules, something against their traditional outlook on the world. There are still a lot of homophobs who think that homosexual people should not exist, who are even ready to kill us...

@@pagefoshee6067 Pretty sure they were referring to the fact that when Chris came out/got outed he lost a lot of friends, many of whom were on the soccer team with him, and got pushed out of the team. So in comparison to the story in the music video of two gay or bi athletes being able to be who they are and date while being on the football team, Chris was indeed unluckier.

Actually it's VERY believable! Back when I was a Senior in high school, there was a rumor going around that the star QB and the star Linebacker were an "item"... a couple of years later it was confirmed! It was not very accepting back in the late 80's to be openly gay... So yeah... it's VERY believable... Subsequently as the years went by, more and more stories of high school boy athletes were closeted couples. what is really unique about this for my high school, I lived in a conservative small rural farm town. We only averaged about 300 seniors per class.

I like it!. I'm in my sixties, and it's great to see this on RUclips.There was nothing like this on TV back when I was young. When I was at high school, in the 1970s i had a crush on a sporty guy. We didn't get together, but he was my fantasy. I like the video. And Stacy is a good looking girl. She will find someone else. Your brother Jeff is a cool young guy and a cutie too.
It's crazy how fast the world changes - for me I'm talking mostly the past 15 years. Social media, youtube etc. really seems to be liberating kids and 20+ people (which I'm not). Many say that social media as a whole is bad - I think it's what's feeding gen z to be better than millennials or gen x. There are cringy trends here and there but so what - these are mostly kids and young adults expressing themselves - let them be cringy! lol
(To be serious gen z in general is so much more aware of the world and cares less about stupid separations what comes to gender, sexuality and expressiveness - than the previous generations. I have absolute faith we're going in the right direction!)

Gay marriage is acceptable here in New Zealand where I live. I never thought that would happen. In 1986 i campaigned to change the law to free gay men when the Homosexual Law Reform Bill went through Parliament. It did come about, and I am proud to have been a part of that change. There are advantages and disadvantages to most things. But I'm pleased that people are becoming open minded. I remember how homophobic people were back in the 1970s.

If there's just one thing I noticed w/this video in particular, since you guys were reacting to a music video: the music video sound was substantially louder than your guys' speaking voice, even though you guys were using the microphone. This brought tears to my eyes and it was great to have Jeff on as the token high school representative. I can understand his comment about reality however I can attest that I have met more than just a few high school football players who came out later in life. So in truth coming from someone who has been on this planet for a while is that this video is very realistic however most high school kids are sheltered from the realities of life partly in this case due to the stereotypes of homosexuality. The context and the script of the video was excellent as it was geared towards displaying a soft blow in such a manner as to not wack out the general audience during the climax of the video. The cinematography was excellent however I would have liked to have seen some actual football practice hitting drills and plays during the video and maybe not so much PDA towards the end. The song was excellently executed and the singing and the band were very good but I would be surprised to hear this song on the radio. The cast, producer, editor and filming crew did an excellent job. Jeff as a commentator was excellent and StanChris was amazing to have created this video in response to the music video. Job well done by all. By the way I think the next thing for Stacy will be her uncle who puts a pass on her and then comes out as transgendered.
And let me just add that the first time I watched this video I did not catch on at all about what was about to come down the pike as I really that it was just a cute boy girl high school video and so when the climax hit and both guys started hitting it off that really caught me off guard as well and in a great way as I dropped some f bombs and that is what got me into tears. What an awesome video. It ranks up there with Troye Sivan. Thanks again guys. Terrific.

Yes. Me "26m" and husband "29m" was granted custody of his little brother 14. He been trying to live with us for years. We finally did it. He been living with us for a year so far. He don't even acknowledge the gay part at all.
