- We asked players to build their Ideal LEC roster, with the caveat that they can’t pick more than 2 players from one team and can’t pick their own teammates.

@@vschen3429 Sure, but it's all about resources. The reason G2 top side are strong is b/c the resources they get. Targa and Flakked barely get any, granted they do get 2v2ed a lot but if you look at upset+hyli, they need a lot of resources

@@M-.-M thats not true actually fnatic botlane doesnt need resources (sivir game and more ) but topside isnt playing as consistent as botside and so fnatic play around botside mostly, people all the time said that upset need resources but every time he was in a team he was the most consistent carry (s04, origen and now fnatic )

@@Thebaddream7 out of 16 players that were asked, most picked are: on Top lane: BB (g2) 7 times, in JG: Jankos (g2) 8 times, in Mid lane: Caps (g2) 10 times, Bot: Upset (fnc) 7 times, and Suppport: Hylissang (fnc) 9 times, so it is an exaggeration to say that they all want to chill with G2 but you can't really deny that 3/5 role is dominated by G2.

Armut and BB have a long history of playing against each other and on his streams Armut mentioned many times how he looked up to BB's playstyle as he respects him a lot.

Its funny how Hyli is like perma flammed by the comunity for inting games but then when you ask proplayers he is like one of the 2 support they consider worth playing with
Wunder jungle would be a really interesting move. Having a player who is willing to play completely niche picks in the jungle is incredibly usefull.
I like how Perkz made it into 3 teams as an adc but only into one team as a midlaner.
And in the team he got picked as mid. It was by caps. So it tells a lot how fing good man is in the midlane. Caps role swaps so he can have perkz.
@@ivanrado3430 It tells more about that caps and perkz are really good friends and caps has legacy respect for perkz as a mid, but perkz atm really isn't good. He's a middle of the pack midlaner. Not in terms of smarts but mechanics.

it's pretty funny seeing some of these players actually end up together now, like carzzy and hyli, they really weren't making that stuff up. Then again it's pretty unique how ads get to pick their sup because it really has to be a botlane that meshes well.

Crazy how the 2019 g2 superteam molded what European dominance in league looks like. I wonder if covid didn't happen they could have probably win the title in 2020 & have something similar of a rivalry like the cavs vs warriors but it's with g2 vs any lpl team that would be dominant in that alternate histor
Doubtful, and simply b/c G2 lacked the regional competition to push them. DWG (LCK) basically stomped everyone in 2020; only losing three games at Worlds.
G2 could have won 2019 if they were more Lucky about bracket distibiution :/
@@tressil3607 i think every team got hit hard with the pandemic & lots of team that thrives from less pressure thrived more. Im pretty sure if covid didn't happen we'd probably see either g2 vs skt final or fpx runs it back with the same roster & have a g2 vs fpx part II
@@matipedi4507 the bracket was kinda okay, i hate saying this as a g2 fan but they got out drafted & didn't show up at all. Fpx was the better team that day & they had more time to prepare vs g2.

I would have to agree on getting Jankos-Caps as Jungle-Mid duo. In the current LEC, they have the best synergy out of all Mid-Jungles.
Followed by Elyoya-Nisqy and Malrang-Larssen
Apparently Pro players know that hylissang isn't Hyintissang (Or like, Sometimes he actually is but not as much) like all the gold peakers do in Chat :P

Top: BB, Alphari, Wunder
Jgl: Jankos, Malrang, Elyoya
Mid: Caps, Humanoid, Perkz
Bot: Upset, Comp, Perkz
Supp: Hylissang, Mikyx, Trymbi
Gratz on Perkz being top 3 in two roles.
Only other person mentioned by someone else was Odoamne top.
Its funny how you could actually draft peak G2 with these rules - would be interesting to see if they had as much success today as they did few years ago

LEC actually all have insane supports. Everyone picked Hyli and Mikyx. But Kaiser, Trymbi, Tarmagas and even Merca are all good picks.

TOP 2 ideal team would be: Alphari(3) Malrang / Elyoya (3) Humanoid ( 4) Perkz / Comp (3) Miky (5)
Alphari wont work well in that team, beter get a weakside top.

Perkz ADC is the move for sure. Vitality should get a mid who can communicate better with Bo (zyb) next season & boot Carzzy to make it happen.
Labrov would do well with a leadership figure in the laning phase.
Perkz dropped the ego before to get Caps so if they can do it again it's better chances for a deep Worlds run

Carlos has truly built something special with the amount of respect whole pro scene even internationally puts on G2 Esports. When they first joined EU LCS I started watching esports and became their fan. There were tough times, but I am glad my favorite team flourished like this instead of becoming irrelevant with time.

I know targamas is relatively new compared to people like hily and miky, but I thought he would have been mentioned at least once. High vision control, impactful renata and all over a consistent player. Same goes for flakked, rough spring, but in summer and especially last couple of weeks he showed he deserves to be with g3 and isn't always getting carried.
I feel the same way. I think support is just naturally a hard position to judge who is best and Miky/Hyli have more historical prevalence in people’s minds.
I’m not sure whether Miky was better with G2 than Targa, but I’m very confident Flakked is better than Perkz and Rekkles were. Only thing is G2 doesn’t prio ADC like FNC does so Upset automatically performs better than most ADCs and it makes Flakked and others look worse in comparison

Surprised Patrik didn't get any votes, the dude feels like he's gotten better with every split, and finally reached a point where he can be in the conversation for best ADC in LEC.
Is he tho. He aways looked like a solid adc that cant reach the top levels. And he is still like that, in other words he is like Comp, Neon, Kobbe, all of them are solid adc, whit no spetial characteristics. For instanse Carzy is great at weakside, Crownshot can hard cary a game if needed tho he ints from time to time, Flakked is an average adc but has a good champ pool outside of normal adc. Upset atm is a super cary. Rekkles is the best weak side.
Patrick is just good and noting more. He needs that someting extra in order to get to the top3.
@@stefankatsarov5806 I would say he's a cut above the other ones you listed as solid. He's definitely better than Carzzy too, who I don't rate as a weakside botlaner as he's too inconsistent.
Patrik consistently performs well, even managing to pull in decent scorelines and damage numbers in the games where Mikyx was just completely inting it. And he's done it on a variety of picks this split.
I think right now the contention for the top spot is Patrik, Upset and Unforgiven. Upset's carry potential is insane and without him I don't think Fnatic would make playoffs. Unforgiven has the consistency of Comp but higher clutch factor.
I don't watch the ERLs so I'm not sure what Rekkles' play is like right now, but I'm sure he's also deserving of being in the conversation. Less convinced about Crownshot.

I cant believe thats Shakarez voice. I know him from twitter but never associated the voice to him. I think this is first time they put him in the subtitles as " interviewer(shakarez)" . And his voice is always in lec content so my mind is exploding rn
