They’ve evolved the Bennett a lot over time. About 2-3 years ago I almost bought a Bennett in black with silver hardware. I skipped it because I wasn’t impressed by the interior slip pockets, and I was on the hunt for a work tote. Kicked myself later when they removed the cute turnlocks on the side! back slip pocket between the handles, and the feet.

I wish they'd make more turn lock bags and vintage classic style. The clean structured bags you see in classic vogue or 30s-60s really. So many bags are expensive for lesser quality materials especially. I would love more fun colors and contrast trims. Metal zippers always catch my eye; but the insides tend to lack truly useful design though. I'm always looking at the storage and organization of a bag as well as durability so I can truly use it. I don't buy a lot of pieces simply because it's a waste. But a truly good quality bag is worth while if it's one you love as a long term item that will be one you reach for over and over again. Which in the sustainable movement hopefully real quality will return so things aren't a flash in the pan item. Coach is often I think nicer than most brands without becoming excessive in price. You can get well made pieces with timeless style and durable leather and metal hardware. Those are important to keeping something long term. It's going to get better with age and use as well as be easy to fix if hardware breaks or if a strap wears out. Which is what people used to do more; use it, mend it and it could be passed down to another still after a generation. Not many brands can boast that same quality nor the price point.
Just got mine in sign light khaki and I absolutely love it. Love your review and comparison esp. compared to older one (with turnlocks). I love the pretty details in this bag such as the stamping and two pockets inside, and tbh, I never guessed that it turns out to be so roomy. Thank you for sharing.

Wait so the old n new are the exact same size ? I’m confused I thought the old was known as just Bennett bag , then they stopped that n released the mini . I assumed the newer one was a smaller size . ? Have I understood that incorrectly ?
