Test drive it today. Feels like an SUV, impressively smooth and fantastic tech. Platinum is too much and XLE is missing a lot of tech. Limited is the sweet spot.
Toyota is addressing the gap in the market that is the lifted, high driving position sedan. Most manufacturers don't understand the demand for a practical, soft sprung family sedan that would have adequate ground clearance even when it is fully loaded!! *Majority are trying to cater to the boy racer crowd with their *arse on the grass low seating position , *belly scraping ground clearance and bone shatteringly stiff suspension when a majority of the said boy racers can't even afford the said cars brand new!! And then they wonder why SUVs or even CUVs (which offer marginal yet useful increments in ground clearance and seating position over sedans) sell like hot cakes!! Good on Toyota for making a sensible family sedan :) FYI, when a 90s stock Toyota sedan which is very comfortable and practical has the same ground clearance as a 2019 Suzuki Vitara compared to the wannabe 'sporty' sedans of today, you know something isn't right with today's stuff...
We purchased the Crown limited and love it! The ride is smooth and getting 44.5 MPG is nice too as this replaced a ford Taurus getting 29 MPG. The all wheel drive is a plus in snow country.
I checked out the crown and paired it with a Rav hybrid. I like the look of both the interior and exterior over the Rav but, the Rav is a better value and has more room in the back for storage. Also Toyota still has supply issues right now. I plan to wait till 2025 to see what pans out in the economy. JMO
I got mine about a month ago. Love it! Ocean White Limited with Advanced Technology Package. Not many on the road because dealers don't have them to sell! I had to wait for mine. Worth the wait. I could have gotten a regular Limited faster but had to have the Package. Yesterday on a 40 min drive I got 60mpg! No freeway. I had it on Eco and didn't get in the Power at all.
People are funny as they complain about the price. Most SUV and luxury cars price start from 35k-40k for basic model. Yet they complain the price of Crown platinum hybrid model 50k. People are plain dumb. Go buy Benz made in Mexico and get rip off your wallet.
Great Crown 👑 Sam! I wish that they had a nice electric ⚡️ range Prime plugin version, something to get me out of my Tesla Model 3 or Y. We have a Tesla Model 3 that will be 5 years old in August and a Ford Cmax PHEV that’s over 7 years old.
Great review Sam. These look quite striking in person and I'm still not sure if I like the two tone or single paint but Toyota did a decent job. Either way, sadly won't be a big seller, they are literally selling to the exact same buyer as the Avalon did and as was the problem before, I can't imagine anyone who has a charger/300 will end up with these even if they are going away or coming back as EVs..
Qeria saber se voceis tem Toyota crown fLex gasolina e tanoaL..sim..ou...não poqe qero pefomase..não gosto do ibrido não 👎 👎 👎 performase..estão fabricando sem..ou..não
I absolutely refuse to buy any vehicle with that many "pay for play" services. Next they will be charging us for the vehicle to have a steering wheel or seats.
Dare I say it, The outgoing Avalon front end is ugly. However the interior was nice and Lexus attractive. Not only is the Crown's front end is less attractive than the Avalon but the interior is low rent for 35k but 50K? The Camry, looks better.
I would go with the light colored seats and maybe go with the model with the 19 inch wheels in windshield white even if it’s one level down just as long as it has every single safety feature available and enough power from the head unit so I can replace the factory speakers with a good pair of three way pioneers or Rockford Fosgate And obviously tint all the windows with ceramic tinting and I would never use the oil they recommend I would use the 5W-30 year-round
Yeah I’m waiting to get one too but and I haven’t heard the JBL on that car but I have heard it in other cars and I just they don’t have the umph. Are pioneers good or what’s good in the speaker world?
Perhaps you should just get a subwoofer installed. You don't need an overwhelming one. There are good compact subwoofers that don't take up too much space.
@TestDrivenTV Sam I'm fine with the way the hood looks in this review but every review I've seen on the crown has the black hood with another paint color it looks hideous
Test drive it today. Feels like an SUV, impressively smooth and fantastic tech. Platinum is too much and XLE is missing a lot of tech. Limited is the sweet spot.
XLE is t bad plus it doesn’t have panoramic roof that takes away head room
Looks and feels like an iPhone on wheels, probably.

Is your mpg with the 21 inch wheels or 19 inch wheels?
Good review. My only observation is that the HP is 236 as opposed to 263.

I must have beige interior though
8:16 When you said "Hey Google", it triggered Google Assistant on my android phone. Hilarious!! 😂 Good review, sir!!
I like how simple the interior design is, not too difficult to navigate
Finally a test review with cabin decibels levels 🎉 I’m your new 4life follower
Nice smooth design!👍

We love our Crown limited.
i wish i have toyota crown.
Is this Johnny sins?
263 hp? You mean 236hp.

Tesla is so overhyped Not a practical vehicle for most and is basically no frills non luxury sedan
How do you think that the Crown Ltd compares to the Avalon Ltd?
I'd get the Lexus ES350 for 50 grand instead of this. Smooth V6 power and the Lexus dealer experience to boot
I like this car a lot Would like a more normal body colored grill instead of the huge peace of black plastic

The instrument cluster and infotainment display look weird together. Great review 👍
cool 🦖✅🆒🆗🏆😊🍩

Love Toyota's, but who is going to buy a $50,000 sedan??
No one talks about stereo system...
We had a whole segment and score on it.
I absolutely refuse to buy any vehicle with that many "pay for play" services. Next they will be charging us for the vehicle to have a steering wheel or seats.
No sound?
it's working now
Really missed the mark when they used those Bridgestone Turanza tires.
Just horrible rubber.

You should use 10w40. 👍
Perhaps you should just get a subwoofer installed. You don't need an overwhelming one. There are good compact subwoofers that don't take up too much space.
Not using the oil recommended by the manufacturer will only hurt the engine and void your warranty.
In the absence of Avalon, I'd go with the Lexus ES350 Ultra Luxury Trim. Still in the Toyota family but a nicer-looking ride than this Crown. 👏💪🙏
In “ your “ opinion.
@@richardmichael59 If somebody else's opinion triggers you, you have serious issues. 🧐
The Crown just Ok!! Think inside could been better back should more boxes dashboard needs more wood
They can call it anything they want, but ill never buy a car with a CVT or ecvt. Especially, for 50k lol. NEVER!
A lot of Prius have 200,000 on them with no issues at all it’s a planetary more vs CVT.
Gas prices are high! I get 40-60mpg in the city. Around 44 on the freeway. Love it!
Thank god Toyota dumped the two toned hood it looked hideous
They did not, it's a part of the two tone paint scheme on the Platinum.
@TestDrivenTV Sam I'm fine with the way the hood looks in this review but every review I've seen on the crown has the black hood with another paint color it looks hideous
50k!? 💩🤣💩
This car is so ugly in the back just by the size
Cvt sucks
About 5-8k over priced
Needs more HP
Change steering wheel style
Speakers suck
And...give it a hatch back.
Then a home run
That car is so ugly almost as bad as the Pontiac Azatck
It is more like generic and boring. The Crown is actually at least something distinctive if not fancy.
Buy Tesla
