    Sorry you got pulled over in my stomping grounds (weaverville) but trinity county chp are typically pretty chill and down to earth guys.

    Oh, cool, me and my wife were in Crescent City in October, and it was rough. So rough we saw paramedics and state police rescuing someone. I love to jetty fish in washington State. Westport or columbia River.

    Hey, you came up to my neck of the woods! Redding, Weaverville, Hwy 299 along the Trinity River, Willow Creek, Arcata, Eureka, and you even went another hour plus north to Crescent City! Epic road trip! And climbing around the Dolos is super sketchy for sure, even worse when it's raining and they are wet. And dude, that was a PIG of a black rockfish!

    Pretty cool to see you fishing there. I’ve caught many rockfish and lings there both in my boat and kayak. Try the south jetty in eureka next time your up this way. I prefer it over the north. True monsters in crescent city if you take a boat out, though many have been caught from the shore. Epic crabbing and the herring run in feb is the best in our area.

      Don't forget Trinidad and Patrick's Point. Patrick's Point is so under-fished. Too many rocks for boats to get in there, but so many shore spots.

    Hopping around on the dolos can get sketchy. So much open water underneath makes it good for poke-poling. South jetty in Eureka is the same way. Nice black!

    Good morning Matt & Family, thank you for sharing this video. That jetty was crazy, I’m to clumsy to try something like that. That was a nice fish, persistence is the key ! I tried rock fish for the first time last year, it was Delicious ! I visit my son in SF down by Ocean Beach. He took me to eat at Hook Fish Co. Glad to see you were able to find a great deal on what you needed to get some projects done ! Hopefully one day I’ll get to be around when you do an event in the area.     soo first off, i'm soo pleased that you and family. are doing well. and that the new venture is in full swing. and yeah, opportunity is like a bladheaded man. with only one hair, you have to grab it when you can!! but, i'd like to kno that road you were on , with the creek on the left side of the road. we do a bit of rockhounding, and that looks to be a nice go look spot.

    Interesting that you mentioned Korea regarding the tetrapods you fished on...Same style of layout but a slightly different shape. Just have to be extremely careful when fishing on them. Enjoyed the video!

    Fish heads definitely help grow healthy plants. I buried some under each of my tomatoes and they grew thicker vegetation and more fruits than any year when I hadn’t used fish.

    there's a korean gardening method on making fish fertilizer; basically fill a bucket with water and some fish, let it ferment. You can also make a plant tea fertilizer; I call "swamp water"

    I use all my fish scraps for our fruit trees left over bait like sardines anchovies mackerel tuna, yellowtail,any other fish bloodlines Random scraps skin all goes in the blender with some water and straight to the trees
