If you want to see how I got the backhoe off the trailer, or maybe how close I came to getting it off, here's the video on the second channel! ruclips.net/video/oakrIst4Jno/видео.html
I have been on a binge watch session of literally ALL your videos from oldest to newest and honestly it feels surreal to finally reach this latest one. It feels like I’ve literally seen a whole channel grow from scratch to It’s peak all in a matter of days lol. What an experience! 👏
Been watching this guy since around 2014 the way he’s constantly gotten better with his content is amazing and all of his hard work has paid off for him
Couldn’t click this any quicker!!!!! Let’s go Matts, so glad you have a spike in creative motivation let’s keep it rolling with this organic from the soul content. Love it.
@@eddiesanchez8571 Lol they really do grow like trees out there too, my uncle had an “orchard” of his own out in NorCal, just watch out for the methed out natives lol
Found your channel when I was having a REALLY bad week about 5 years ago and watched almost every video. Definitely helped me escape from reality during that time. Doing 100x better now, but I still enjoy your videos the most out of all the other fishing channels. Thank you for the content my dude 🤙🏻
Nice seeing you fish again Guy and with a score. Watching you out their doing it is almost like being there so now that your busy with your land don't forget to drop a line once in a while "please"
keep up the good work.lifes obstacles never stop.its how you recover and how you manage those speed bumps that matter.its sick to see your growth.its inspiring.never give up.and it dont stop....
Appreciate all your hard work, your commentary, and excitement hooking a fish. Very tricky traversing to the fishing spots. Looking forward to more videos on both of your channels.
When I took Patricia there for the first time she told me she wants to live there. Loved fishing there and fishing the light house has to be done during low tide. Much love and stay safe.
Miss your videos 😢. I understand it gets more difficult to make videos with family and everything going on but man I’ve watched your videos for years and always enjoyed every moment… You have one life enjoy it to the fullest 🤪
Hell yeah! Just watched the video of you unloading the backhoe and was about to say you should have gone fishing in eureka, then this video keyed up next. Sorry you got pulled over in my stomping grounds (weaverville) but trinity county chp are typically pretty chill and down to earth guys. Another great video, Matts!
That’s awesome you gotta try and fish the trinity river sometime. Would love to see you in this part of NorCal again in future videos. Love seeing you drive down 299!
Dude! Didn't know you were up here! Could've fished with you. Only person would be missing is Wayne. Lol.. Good times. At least you came up and caught a fish + a backhoe.
Oh, cool, me and my wife were in Crescent City in October, and it was rough. So rough we saw paramedics and state police rescuing someone. I love to jetty fish in washington State. Westport or columbia River.
Hey, you came up to my neck of the woods! Redding, Weaverville, Hwy 299 along the Trinity River, Willow Creek, Arcata, Eureka, and you even went another hour plus north to Crescent City! Epic road trip! And climbing around the Dolos is super sketchy for sure, even worse when it's raining and they are wet. And dude, that was a PIG of a black rockfish!
Good video! Glad you're back making content... I shop at that overpriced Sportsman's when I have an impromptu urge to leave the City and fish up near Humboldt.
Pretty cool to see you fishing there. I’ve caught many rockfish and lings there both in my boat and kayak. Try the south jetty in eureka next time your up this way. I prefer it over the north. True monsters in crescent city if you take a boat out, though many have been caught from the shore. Epic crabbing and the herring run in feb is the best in our area.
Nice Black!! And on the travel rod!! I lost my Fisherman's Life travel rod in Hawaii... Super bummed. Good thing it's almost Black Friday! Good stuff as always, Matts!
Hopping around on the dolos can get sketchy. So much open water underneath makes it good for poke-poling. South jetty in Eureka is the same way. Nice black! Thanks Matts!
Good morning Matt & Family, thank you for sharing this video. That jetty was crazy, I’m to clumsy to try something like that. That was a nice fish, persistence is the key ! I tried rock fish for the first time last year, it was Delicious ! I visit my son in SF down by Ocean Beach. He took me to eat at Hook Fish Co. Glad to see you were able to find a great deal on what you needed to get some projects done ! Hopefully one day I’ll get to be around when you do an event in the area. Keep up the great work & keep smiling !
Another good video. I have enjoyed your efforts for a while now. I bought a place on 5 acres myself and just trying to make repairs to this place is a never ending story. Gotta have something to do anyway I guess. Soon I will be caught up and can put some food animals out there. Good luck and I will be looking for your next video-----
soo first off, i'm soo pleased that you and family. are doing well. and that the new venture is in full swing. and yeah, opportunity is like a bladheaded man. with only one hair, you have to grab it when you can!! but, i'd like to kno that road you were on , with the creek on the left side of the road. we do a bit of rockhounding, and that looks to be a nice go look spot.
I used to live in Salinas basically the Bay Area right next to Carmel by the sea and Monterey bay man I used to love going to the beach every sunday now that I moved to Missouri, I love watching your videos since it reminds me of home. thank you for your videos
Its like you were about to quit YT when you started talking about Lonely fishing and talking to a camera all day. Then 💥 fish on! I’m excited to see your new adventures. I’ve been a seriously long time watcher.
I know that spot we'll. My buddies and I spent some time up there and it was your videos that got us inspired to do our own catch and cook up in Eureka. Awesome place for black rock, and lings.
i dont like black rock fish but its cool to see you come to my hometown and catch something i had no idead you were here i missed out big time. next time you come thru ill show you where the money is
Love ur videos mat watching since for so long love ur trout fishing videos so much amazing an the hook u got on the black rock fish monster as u say ur self 😂
Hey Matt , I was just thinking of you the other day. Missing your adventures! Im glad you had some time off to spend with your new Baby ❤. JO JO IN VT 💞
Interesting that you mentioned Korea regarding the tetrapods you fished on...Same style of layout but a slightly different shape. Just have to be extremely careful when fishing on them. Enjoyed the video!
Why didn't you try fishing the jetties in eureka ? Man wish I woulda been out fishing my hand lines when you were out . I wanna see a hand line video when you get your videos going again !
Fish heads definitely help grow healthy plants. I buried some under each of my tomatoes and they grew thicker vegetation and more fruits than any year when I hadn’t used fish.
Glad to see that you have happily settled in your new home! It seems fishing was a side adventure, but I think that monster rock fish bit on the tide change. Great job 👍 Hope that fishing in the ocean is a little bit more accessible for you than on that trip😅
I once discovered a nice spot like that but the concerete blocks were intimidating, you fall you die kind of thing Not worth it bro if your alone , be careful out there 🙌🏻
there's a korean gardening method on making fish fertilizer; basically fill a bucket with water and some fish, let it ferment. You can also make a plant tea fertilizer; I call "swamp water"
I’m certain that’s the same CHP who pulled me over and gave me a break. Same voice. Same but about the address change. Nice catch Matts and thanks for the fun content!
I use all my fish scraps for our fruit trees left over bait like sardines anchovies mackerel tuna, yellowtail, any other fish bloodlines Random scraps skin all goes in the blender with some water and straight to the trees
If you want to see how I got the backhoe off the trailer, or maybe how close I came to getting it off, here's the video on the second channel! ruclips.net/video/oakrIst4Jno/видео.html

Man I miss Humboldt. Grew up there and go anytime I can for a visit. Watching you fish the jetty brought back so many memories
So glad to see you again brother. Hope everything is good in your life and you are settling down at your new place

12:20 I moved to South Carolina from San Diego once I turned 22.... I miss the Cali Bud. Matt.... you're not foolin anyone. Huge fan lol
I was kinda thinking what's he growing out there.. I'm putting the fish carcass under my trees or plants hmmm. Lol!
@@eddiesanchez8571 Lol they really do grow like trees out there too, my uncle had an “orchard” of his own out in NorCal, just watch out for the methed out natives lol
Ehh new video glad your alright!. Oh wow that walk 4:15 on jetty was beautiful I don't get out much so that was amazing to see

Good to hear things are 100x better!
loved that part in the sunset. felt like i was sitting on the rocks watching you cast in to the horizon. You earned your blessings!
That town is nice been going there over 10 years keep up the good work.
It’s really funny you’re in my backyard and you got me back into fishing, I’m gonna take my kayak out there before the season closes.
Nice seeing you fish again Guy and with a score. Watching you out their doing it is almost like being there so now that your busy with your land don't forget to drop a line once in a while "please"

Life goes on. Just keep going Matt. Take care of your family, take care of your health and your mental health
So happy to see you posting again, hope you’re enjoying the new place!
Glad you made it up this way! I live in Eureka and frequently fish along the Humboldt Coast. I feel very lucky to live in such a beautiful area.
Dude, same! How crazy was it seeing the brewery and everything at the beginning of the vid.
Just moved from 💩Weaverville, California in Idaho now living the best life 😂

Miss your videos 😢. I understand it gets more difficult to make videos with family and everything going on but man I’ve watched your videos for years and always enjoyed every moment… You have one life enjoy it to the fullest 🤪
Crescent city is my hometown! Wish I would seen you there. Those waves crash over that jetti and many people die.
The music choices are a dead giveaway that you're from SF, love the vibes!

I grew up here and fished this jetty too many times to count. It’s cool seeing someone I follow fish spot I’ve fished! Love your videos
I live in Eureka but I don't recognize this location. Where is it located? It doesn't look like the North or South Jetty. Tanks.

@@Kestrel707 Oh, okay. Thank you!
Hope to see you on the boat again soon. Glad you‘re back posting videos. Greetings from Switzerland

Don't forget Trinidad and Patrick's Point. Patrick's Point is so under-fished. Too many rocks for boats to get in there, but so many shore spots.
I’m from eureka fish all the time!!! You’ve been a huge inspiration!
Happy holidays big homie. I recognize that country and boy is it gorgeous. Tight lines as usual
