I bought Virtus GT on July 2nd. 6000km kazhinjhu. 3 trips to Chennai from Thrissur. I’m in love with this machine, a perfect upgrade from Polo. TN roadsil Ithe vere level aane. Pinne u Wr talking about mileage. Enikke Thrissur to Coimbatore 19kmpl kittiyittunde. At the same time, throttle onne press cheyth sports modeil odichal 10kmpl aayi korayum. Pinne hard plastics, and less features is not surprising for Volkswagen. Performance aano nokkunne, dhairyamaayi edukkam.

I agree to what he say about drive comfort. I often drive from tvm to mvpa or mvpa to blore. And mostly in a stretch or two and never felt tired. Drive comfort is extreme 🔥

One of the best and genuine review apart from that to handle this 1.5 liter machine is tad bit difficult. I belives that the owner has the capabilty to handle anything. Anyways the review of owner sounded like he is not an ordinary driver. 🔥

Problems/Issues/Shortcomings reported in Virtus/Slavia:
• Rattling and squeaking noise from everywhere
• Break noise is apparent in the 1.0 automatic while creeping in b2b traffic, parking and reversing
• Aggressive creep function in 1.0 automatic. The acceleration is quite aggressive when parking in tight spots.
• AC ineffective and AC cutoff problem
• Transparent/open part of the sun blind making the AC ineffective by letting in sunlight heat
• Panel gaps
• Exhaust smell coming into cabin when AC in recirculation mode
• Piano black on the interior prone to scratches easily
• Cabin lamp comes apart and fell down on potholed roads
• Noisy windows roll motor
• Front ac vents are of cheap quality
• Windows roll up/down not working properly
• Noisy ventilated seats
• Irritating Auto start stop switching off the engine on a speed breaker
• Engine noise
• Gear stick breaking and coming to your hands
• Jerky rides on lower gears in DSG. D3-D2 transition is jerky when driven at City speeds, DSG is inherently jerky at city speeds
• DSG lag
• Wireless charger heating
• Erratic Android Auto/Apple CarPlay disconnecting and refusing to connect
• Steering alignment issues
• No disk breaks at the rear
• No physical control for AC needing to take eyes off the road to fiddle with climatronic control
• Placement of buttons (lock and auto engine start stop) near gear box is painful to operate for driver. These should have been at right side
• No height adjustable seatbelt
• No sunglass holder(Virtus)
• Smaller size ORVM
• Only typeC port available
• Less wider seats at the front making it uncomfortable for wider people
• Seat which are supposed to be stock seat material, but looks more like after market seat covers. Fit and finish is very poor with lots of wrinkles, lines and loose fitting with exposed zippers, exposed stitching and poor contouring around the creases
• Ugly looking rear with an exposed tank, torsion beam(Slavia)
• No dynamic guidelines on reverse camera
• Low quality/resolution reverse camera
• No full blown TPMS
• The music audio quality is a let down with no branded audio system in any variants
• Uncomfortable back seat recline angle
• Low mileage in city
• Low quality plastics and cheap materials used for India-spec 2.0 models
• Inability of service centre to resolve issues
So damm true, every part of the issue explained in detail.
I own a one month old 1.0 Tsi Topline Automatic and all these are inherently present.
Especially the braking, outdoor smell coming in despite the AC vent closed or on, painful whenever passing a drain.
I recently made a Trip from Hyderabad to Bangalore and it is so noisy, not well done cabin insulation. You hear tyre noise, stones hitting your car underbelly and the engine rev noise.
Rear Disc brakes are missed, braking is really scary at 80kms and higher, you need to be very careful with braking, it takes much longer to stop on Highways.
1.0 Topline Automatic says you can get above 14 kmpl on Highways, I got 8-9 on highways, my previous Polo 1.2 gave me 12 and above on manual. This is disappointing. Maybe I need to switch off the AC to get a higher mileage 🤣
Kind of a long list of issues with the 1.0 Automatic. 😢😥😢😥😢😥

I have driven the 1.0 tsi virtus , even that one was so good , i can only imagine what the 1.5 tsi would be 🚀
But the only thing that concerns me is the price , 21 lakhs ? If I was looking for a VW or skoda sedan for that price , i would be picking the Jetta TDI or Octavia 1.8 Tsi or Passat TDI for 10 lakhs and keeping another 10 lakhs for petrol and maintenance 😅😅

Bro , for 10 lacs you’ll get a 7-8 year old Octavia/Jetta which has done a lac kms. Amount of money you’ll spend on maintenance and servicing will be insane leave aside the fuel costs. I guess Virtus/ Slavia will be a more sensible choice.
@@anishskaria my two relatives has vento and Jetta TDI, both done 1.5 lakh kms and above , showroom service anel excellent condition thanne arkkum car ..
And Jetta the 2nd gen and the Passat is way better than the newer VWs , that's what I felt . Older Passats and Jettas are faster and more fun .. but yes older VWs are expensive to maintain .
Totally , if i could spare 20L i would definitely go for a used octavia vrs, and yes lot of them choosing one over another is just mere subjective , but you can research as much as you want before you invest in such vehicle

Overall car is looking great....engine is superb.....but quality kornjo ennoru doubt.....and bro.....90% Indian akit ind so issues koryan chance ind....if issues varuanel...nastham anena njn udeshiche....this is not at degrading....my polo tdi reached 1lakh still runs beautifully.....but had spent 1lakh for 1lakh+ kms... that's were Toyota wins..!
