  • Bob V. takes me to the St Nicolas breaker remains near Mahanoy City where a school used to be across the road. We search through the remains an peek into the basement. If anyone has information or pictures of this school, please send me links or information in the comments and I'll post them in the description as soon as possible.

Great video! I googled "st nicholas elementary mahanoy city pa" and the first hit that came up was a view of the school, Suffolk Village, Mahanoy City.

It was St Nicholas Middle school maybe. That coal breaker was huge. I remember going by it in our travels. Great video. Enjoyed it very much. Glad your getting back to your adventures.

I went to school there, k to 5th grade. ('72 to "77). The steps were cement, not wooden. The gym was to the left (as you would be facing going up), and the auditorium to the right. The tiles were in the boys bathroom/ shower room. When you went out to recess, you would hav e to cover your mouth and nose. Reason...the breaker was in works across the way.

I had a chance to explore the breaker back in the day I rode my motorcycles past it all time but had zero interest then.

This school burned down the night after my 8th grade graduation, the date was around June 13, 1985. Last I remember it was painted white and had a cupola on the top center.

I remember seeing this school intact many times. If I recall correctly it was faded red or pink in color.

More biosolids? Another mess like Tremont and Blackwood in western skook.

I believe the Bone Spurs relates to how President Trump avoided Vietnam.
