Power BI is not just for dashboard, it's excellent in data discovery. Only Power BI desktop start in 2013, Power BI inherite 20 years of experience from Microsoft in BI area. My cost comparison is in favor of Power BI as soon as you start having a large pool of users.

Excellent comparison of these 2 great products. Power BI is my choice, but it’s very understandable why many choose Tableau.

Having worked with both, Tableau does amazing job for visualisations. But, it is too expensive. For large organisations, it makes more sense to use Power BI.

    Question
Can you provide a video for those who wish to have a career in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. There is no proper guidance on which tools to learn and what should be the proper sequence of learning them. For both AI and ML.
    P.s.
Thank you edureka. Learned a lot from here.

PowerBi is great for small and mid sized data. For Big Data i use Apache Spark with Python.

Any size of data can be connected through direct query mode, and still you will have option to write your many DAX measures for analysis for cloud reporting.( Supporting DAX functions in this mode is still better than tableau)
Also You can use, 'power bi report server'
and ofcourse you can use your R/python scrpits.
And if you will see DAX QUERY in action(not for direct mode) you will definitely love it.
Yes if you will start learning DAX ,you will feel like there is no any language is difficult than this DAX filter context and its optimization. But whoever has got the actual flavor of Power BI will never think og any other BI tool.

Im a new learner about data mining, maybe this is OOT but I really thank to anyone of you who wanna answer my question. My question is : do Power BI visualization thingy have more advantage rather than R visualization? Im not gonna talk about their design, but it is about their system maybe, tools, etc. Because sometimes I see people code with R and visualize it with Power BI while he/she can visualize it just with R, is there any reason why we need to visualize it by using Power BI?
And another request, please correct my grammar, since English is not my first language. I really appreciate it.
    Thanks in advance

You can then take advantage of R’s extensive and robust capabilities to analyze, transform, and visualization data and blend it with the ease of Power BI's UX without having to delve into code.

Hi, I would love to know how the non-initial costs of Power BI are higher than Tableau. Do you have a real life example?

    • @edurekaIN

Tableau has subscription offerings that tailor to user needs. They are Creator, Explorer and Viewer. Prices are listed per user, per month, billed annually.
The Creator plan: $70/user/month, regardless if whether the platform is deployed on-premise on in the cloud.
The Explorer plan: $35/user/month for on-premise deployment, and $42/user/month if deployed in the cloud.
The Viewer plan: on-premise for $12/user/month or have Tableau host it for $15/user/month.
Power BI also offers three subscription tiers, Desktop, Pro and Premium.
      Desktop: free for individual users.
Pro: starts at $9.99 per user per month and offers additional features.
Premium: starts at $4,995 a month per dedicated cloud computing and storage resource.
