Freddie died in 1991, and just one month before his death Queen had a no. 1 hit with The Show Must Go On, you should check out the song. And earlier in the same year they had a no.1 hit with Innuendo, another song that you would likely enjoy. That is why it was so difficult for people when Freddie died, because he was still making no.1 hits right up to his death. I can remember being surprised by Michael's death, because he just announced a big tour, so it was a surprise. I don't remember much from Freddie's death I to young to pay attention.

Michael’s usual singing style is very different from Freddie’s, I love how they make those harmonies work beautifully together. And yes, I agree, we’d need both of them alive today, there’s a reason why they aren’t anymore. That song was way ahead of its time. Check out State of Shock, you’ll like it too!

Check out the Version from The Queen Forever album. there are many versions of this song. The one from the Queen forever album is the best one imo
also Freddie died in 1991 of aids in the age of 45. He still recorded songs in 1991 which is so great because that shows how much he loves music and his fans because he was dying but still doing his job. Freddie and Michael were together in Studio in 1983 so this song is recorded from that year I guess. Michael was a big Queen fan he went to most of their shows when Michael was nearby. I even think Michael was inspired to wear his shiny glove (or to make it shiny) because of the one that Freddie ones wore. And a fact in John Deacons words (the bassist of Queen) ''Michael Jackson actually suggested we release Another one Bites the dust as a single. He was a fan of ours and used to come to our shows''

Michael and Freddie had great appreciation for each others talents. They were very different as artists but at the same time very alike.
    - Michael tended to a pop culture and had a lot of attention from minorities and disfavored people (that's why is popular reach will never be matched again). Freddie was a rock God and was more popular in white western world.
    - They were both supreme commandants of the stage. Freddie by his interaction and improvisation with the people and Michael with his immaculate perfection within his routines.
    - Freddie was a talented guitar and piano player. Michael was the greatest popular dancer the world as seen.
    - Freddie had a monstrous powerful voice that would sweep anyone out of their feet. Michael had an angelical tone and a flexibility that allowed him to play within any genre.
This led them to talks of releasing songs, maybe an album of duets. They shared ideas and played around with it. This song is the result of this. Nevertheless, as the biggest stars on the planet and all the chaos surrounding their personal and professional lives, they never found the peace and time to elaborate on this project.
Imagine what would happen back then, and even today, if those 2 were to come together for a ONCE IN A LIFE TIME duet concert with the money reverting for whatever charity.
One thing i can tell you. In this scenario, the prices of the attendance would be so high that a full stadium would make profits into the BILLION range.
Kids these days have no idea how good those 2 were and how popular they were at their peak.

Please lool the official video, it was first produced in about 2014/15 if i am right. Queens Dr. Brian May (Guitar) and Roger Taylor (Drums) did create the backing music for the track and it sounds a lot better than this version here!!! They did justice to Michael and Freddie with producing that 35 years old (found in an archive) wonderful recorded vocal tracks to a professional sounding Queen-Sound Track!

I know this video is 3 years old, but you asked about where people were when MJ died. I have a strange story about that. I worked for a fire dept and one of my coworkers came into the office and said "Michael Jackson died." We rushed to the TV, but there was nothing. About 30 minutes later, a chyron at the bottom of the screen said that emergency services had been dispatched to MJ's house. About 15 minutes later, they broke into programming to say he had died. I'm pretty sure I knew before his family even did. That was bizarre.

Michael kept bringing his lama to the studio and Freddie was having none of that. Saw MJ in Chicago. Bad tour. My first concert was 1975. So yeah. I'm old and I remember well the day both of them died. along with sooo many others from my generation.

I found out Michael had died about a half hour before the rest of the world, maybe even before his family. I worked at a fire dept and my coworker came in and said his friend who was a first responder was on the call to Michael's house and he had died. We raced to turn on the TV, but there was nothing. About 20 mins later, the words came across the screen that there had been an emergency response to Michael's house, and then about 10 minutes later, they broke into the regular programming to say that Michael had, indeed, died. It was surreal to say the least.

Freddie Mercury died in November 1991. Michael did 3 songs with Queen, the entire band did the music. Freddie called off the sessions when Michael insisted on bringing a llama to the recording studio. From what Brian May has said, the other 2 songs are in the Jackson Estate, and they want to keep them.Queen finally released their version in 2014 on the Queen Forever compilation. It sounds different than this one. Here’s the link to that one: ruclips.net/video/5FrrzXH0exU/видео.html
