Thanks for the tips and information. I bought a Rak, Bobcat, and SyncroBit in April and wondering when they will ever be delivered. Now, I am glad they are late with the loose motherboards and firmware problems with synching.

Very valuable information, thanks. I'll be keeping this video as a guide. However, can you please clarify this point as some people say you need other miners around to to validate transactions or something like that otherwise you would need multiple miners. What's the sweet spot
Yes you want to be in range of at least two other miners to increase your HNT rewards.

Great video....I really fell confident in helium...the token has a purpose, unlike these meme coins that people are pumping....the big issue is see are large investors buying up miners and renting them out for an unfair (my opinion) percentage, And also people just buying the miners just to turn around and hock them for crazy prices...To everyone out there...don’t let fomo get the best of you (and your wallet)
We definitely feel your sentiment in this comment. One way we have heard it proposed is that if these bigger investors weren't buying so many miners there would be less of a demand and less intereset in making miners. But we agree, this is the People's Network and it should be geared towards the individuals creating the network.

Question guys if you use your miner in a higher location with the wireless function is that better than a lower location and plugging into the lan? I will have a sensecapmx miner ... it says it has wireless
Higher is usually better! Allows for better line of sight to other miners!
my simulated location estimates I will reach 90 hotspots...hmmm...
Sounds like HNT to me!
How do you simulate your location?
If in not mistaken, you will max out at 25 witnesses per request but that sounds like you will max it every time. Now just hope you are at a 1.0 rate instead of something less like .03.

Just Bought a Rokland 5.8 915 mhz antenna and out of curiosity I metered between the center pin and the outer threads and I am getting continuity. Is this normal?

Hi ! Nice video!! I want to ask you... if I only care about the receiving signals (don’t care about transmitting) would I have to prefer a high dbi antenna or a medium?? Is higher dbi antenna more sensitive to receive??? I placed my miner in the center of a town at 250meters high and I have around me 250 hotspots (I am at the center at the higher place) what is best antenna to use? A 3-4dbi. Or a 6,5dbi? Thank you in advance
The best way to find out is to try a few different antennas and track witnesses. This will be a good indication of how well your setup is performing!

Currently, I have my four dbi antenna in the house, but I just bought a fiberglass eight dbi antenna that I want to put on the top of the house. Do I have to add a new location, or is the bobcat box smart enough to know that I will add a different antenna and raise it higher?
You do not need to update the location for this instance. You may update the antenna specs if you wish to in the Helium App.

I bought 3 bobcat miners. I will have to wait 12 to 20 weeks like most everyone but in my area the map is a complete blank slate. There will only be me mining because I live in a rural retirement area where most people don't have internet. My plan is to install internet and pay for it in exchange for hosting one of my miners. People live miles apart here as well so I will need outside enclosures for the bobcats and long range directional antennas. I already have my locations for the bobcats. I hope my plan works.
