    Consider the following:
    T1= 50xp/h
    T2= 75xp/h
    T3= 100xp/h
    T4= 125xp/h
    24 T1 books = 48h = 2400xp
    6 T3 books = 48h = 4800xp
    4 T4 books = 48h = 6000xp
    If you'd use blue books instead of composing them into T3 books you'd actually lose 50% of the xp for the same amount of time spent in the academy.
    So timewise it is more efficient and faster to compose the books.
    Edit: to clarify, my calculation is based on the time you spend lvling the skill in the academy

    Time > book exp wasted, at 3 book slots, i'm still getting more gold books than I could spend on girls, usually a girls is finished lvling 120-125 before all the skills are even complete, think I've only used purples and blue ones when I started, but a couple months later I never used a purple again, only gold and rainbows.
    I really think the book system needs some kind of rework or at least have some kind of hybrid lvling as META girls, that can lv the skill by doing sorties or/and using books.
    If books gave more exp or the process were shorter I would totally agree with you, but as for now, I really prefer giving the most of the exp I could in a shorter span of time.

      I think it'll be better if they allow us to stack the books, so you don't need to check back every time a lesson is done, just top it off like you would do with the dorm's food.
      If there's a system that needs rework then it's the gear plates. I have like, 15k of white torpedo plates just gathering dust. Would be nice if we have the option to sell them at least.

    Well... You did mention time constraint there.
    But realistically, would it be convenient to check back every 2 hours vs 8 hours?
    If you don't keep on top of the timing, and why would you, really, you're actually leveling up skills way slower than if you just slap a gold book in there and check back twice a day or so.
    Also, really, you're not going to need ALL that experience points. Better save your sanity and convert them all to T3 rather than logging back in every 2 hours. Take it from an old timer from original Crimson Echoes era, you'll barely touch the T2 stock once you get going, much less T1. And by then you'll run out of ships you'll actually WANT to level up first and you'll find yourself checking back every 2 hours to see if Kent has finished her class or not. Safe yourself the trouble, that's all I'm saying.

    It's just a balance of how much you play vs your resources.
    In the both end of spectrum: Low on resources but have enough time to log in every 2 hours = don't, Tons of resources and no time to play because of work/school = merge.
    I just think that min-maxing this part of the game is not as efficient. Specially with how little skill exp/hour the lowest tier give. Also don't buy academy slots with gems.

    Good thing that after almost 4 years of playing I am at that point where I already maxed out all the "" relevant "" ships skills so nowadays I just use skill books to do the daily mission and that's it :d
