Hyperia OPENS AGAIN… is it ROUGH??

- Hyperia at Thorpe Park has reopened to the public and I got the chance to ride it on the day with a few of my friends, and it seemed to have changed slightly! The ride felt a tad rattly, probably due to how long it spent sitting in the station over its almost 3 week closure. Hopefully this improves soon! Either way join me as I check out any updates, merch, and ride it those 4 times again. Enjoy!

NGL I do work there and I think the WWTP radio is the worst 😭😭, I personally like hyperia muci but maybe that's just cuz its new. 🔥

rivals didn’t have a rattle until 2021 so idk why hyperia would already have one
@@bradymartin9055rivals rattle seems like it comes from the covers on the backs of the seats. Was at movieworld one day when a train came back into the station and it had come open, they fixed it, sent it again to test and it came back opened so had to replace the part in the station, was cool to watch. The rattle recently hasn’t been that bad after its maintenance schedule tho
Never heard of this either. Its definitely always been the opposite with the likes of corkscrew, nemesis. Infusion, icon, and i can list many more. @aridaje4345
I've flown from Australia to ride this. I've spent the past two days stuck in my Air BnB because I got sick on the flight over. Here's to hoping I am well enough to go tomorrow.

The polyeurethane or nylon coating on the wheels can actually get flat spots from sitting on actual rails for a long time from what I understand. You may be somewhat right with the square wheels hypothesis.

Was at the park today. Hyperia was on 60 mins all day! Had 3 rides and bloody loved it!!! Back row is on another level 😱

Rode hyperia today! I did notice the rattle. But i would still consider hyperia bascially glass smooth.
Went today for the first time and absolutely lovedddd it!! 1st ride was perfect, row 9 v smooth, second ride was row 6 felt a bit rattly, ride 3 about 5:30 on row 5 oh my god it killed me had a banging headache and it was so so shakey, completely bazar and really hope this sorts over time because it was like a different ride compared to the first
I really want to go but I live in America so it may be awhile, velocicoaster is the closest I’ve gotten most likely.
I noticed the tiniest little rattle in one part on one ride the other four including two at the back and one front it was silky smooth I would love to ride it all day ❤

Im going in July! Honestly cant wait cos its a free return ticket cos i went on a windy day and some of the rides didnt operate for over an hour cant wait for hyperia!!

Nah. The wheels are just wonky after a busy opening day and being mothballed for weeks. Once they burn them and put new ones on it will be fine.
This isn't a structural rattle, we know the structure is smooth.
I only got to go on Hyperia once yesterday (re-opening day), but I thought it had a rattle too. I've heard people saying it's just one of the trains.

Dude it was so good, I went today and it was so smooth that I could barely feel it.
nemesis sub terra reopening day was more iconic than the actual opening day
i thought It felt more like speed wabbles. because it only happened at the lower faster points and diddnt happen at all after the stall/splashdown. it felt similar to what redforce has at the end of its launch but nowhere near as bad.

Omg I went on yesterday and it was so good, but while we were in the queue, lots of feathers started to float down all around us so we thought it was part of the effects but then we started see some random bits of flesh and blood so it turns out it had crashed into a bird 💀💀

I went on it 3 times today, my second ride had A BIG rattle, almost uncomfortably so. Kinda took away for the ride experience. My other 2 rides were butter smooth though so…

I found row 3 pretty rattle like, ironically that’s the exact same row I find it very rattle on voltron too - row 4,5,6,9 I didn’t think it was at all - so it does appear to either be one train with certain wheel seat issues

Why do the new coasters have these rattles such as mandrill mayhem , nemesis , hyperia , voltron
b&m is just rattley. With voltron there are 2 trains that were made really badly and its rough, and with it being 4 a row the outer seats are bound to be rougher. Hyperia wasnt really rattley on opening day, but it sat in the station for 2 weeks and has only ran for a few days. the wheels need to bed in again. if its still rattley in like a month then who knows
Everyones talking about thorpe fixing the lift hill but the real question is... have they fixed the air gates?

I Rode Voltron 12 Times nowe and it is ratally too bus just at the third and forth rowe. It is verry noticabul at the outher seats

Can't be any rougher than Iron Menace...
I rode Menace two days ago, and it wasn't as rough as I expected, it only rattled on one element on one ride, but most of the actual roughness is just you wiggling around... It doesn't actually feel rough, but the tracking could be improved. I wonder if Hyperia feels the same way, but only time will tell.

that long ass que better not be there when i go there nxt month, i wana get into the park not the ride 1st, theres plenty of other rides to do, the focus aint just the new ride, more of the exp of the park itself
With the rattle, the wheel are made with a compound, they're not solid. With the trains sat for a while, particularly if sat on the tracks, this may see the compound slowly get compressed and thus more squared. This will probably be why there is a rattle.
