I think everyone should know about his very fast rotation which goes like this: Build to sp2 while gaining shocks, throw sp2 without charging heavy (This saves between 5 to 10 seconds depending on AI), then finally throw sp1 to get a big burst. @@Mysterio1021 So… it’s kind of a mixed bag for me. I do think Serpent is overtuned. But, I think that’s exactly what the devs wanted. For a while, the Mystic class was in a weird spot to where it seems to be hard for them to make meaningful Mystic Attackers, because all of our older ones are so strong. Doom, Tigra, BWCV, for example. Having this goalpost Defender, Serpent, be a design pillar for the designers to have something to create counters for will help the game with its longevity. Maestro and Serpent give the designers enough design space to make some really meaningful Mystic Champions that add new value to your roster, which will accompany the existing power in your roster already. The only place you *have* to fight Serpent right now is in Alliance War. You can’t really prevent your opponent from placing him. In BGs, you can just ban him, which is what I normally do. He also isn’t in Monthly EQ or Story content. So his overall impact on your day-to-day playing can be limited if you choose to ban him in BGs… if you don’t… well? You’ll just have to deal with him. Overall, I get why people are upset, but there are ways to mitigate his impact on your daily MCOC play sessions. @BMcG I agree with a lot of your points. But I will say hold your horses (get it, horse? Beta ray, ok sorry for that) because with how strong of a defender he is I am pretty sure we will start seeing him in story content (not 9.1 since that's already done) and other mainstay quests because of just how good he is as a defender and while I'm completely fine with taking down an AW or BG sized serpent health pool, a 1million hp Serpent sounds like nightmare fuel. That being said, to your point because of how good serpent is, Kabam has the opportunity to make new mystic champs that can counter him, I mean we never had a hard counter to fantman until BRB came out and Negasonic completely shuts down Bullseye and Attuma. It's only a matter of time. Honestly, I'm in a minority where I'm fine with his death immunity buff. It's like kindred's outbreak at 5% because you need to hold on to your relic and also a special at high sigs to make sure he doesn't pop sp3 which I think is fine. My problem is personally that pierce+fury combo he has on top undexable specials. It's just too much unavoidable chip damage, bullseye is also infamous for this but at least a bleed immune champ mitigates it, serpent just chunks you off in longer fights. That would of been my only change really, remove either the pierce or fury (my vote would be pierce personally) Anyways enjoyed the thorse video mate , all the best

Does no one else think his damage feels too cheap? I feel like his burst damage is far too easily achieved for how it's obtained, the detonate window on the SP1 is far too large imo.
My first question would be; what star and rank is your venom relic? Is it duped? My second question would be; who do you enjoy playing most? If you have a 5/6* duped venom relic that’s decent rank then I’d probably go venom, unless you like playing bill significantly more. But if you don’t have a decent venom relic then bill is the best option imo (assuming you have at least a 3* Thor relic for him, that’s all he needs for the 25% buff potency)
Largely agree here. Hyperion is fine at R2. He punches up super well. Same with Beta Ray Bill honestly. Venom benefits the most from the extra rank, but I’d only rank if you have the Venom Relic, like MCOC Hazza mentioned.
My problem with him is making the sp2 while I am charging the heavy. I don't understand if it's me making wrong something or if it's the IA or the mechanic itself. I can't achieve the horse buffs, the orange ones. I understand timing is all, but do I have really power on that or I depend from server lags and other funny things? Sometimes works. Most of times does not. It's very annoying. It happens that I'm forgetting him every time I could use him. I understand the value of the character, but I feel I can't rely on him. Anyone else?
Yea I'm not really a fan. The way I see it you need to be very good with light intercepts so you don't use your med and cause the shocks to expire before your L1. He would've massively better if his L1 just detonated the shocks, but that's way too much common sense for kabam.
You can parry and start with a light attack. His light reach also is good. In war and battlegrounds, you don’t need to prioritize doing light attacks too. You actually wanna do Medium starting combos so your fight ends faster. He’s not that complicated to use if you practice and learn the timing.
