The way I retain learning is to take in like a bite of food... then I chew on it for a while. Too much too fast does not work for me and I miss most points after a point.
For me, I seem not to be so able to eat just once a day, but I can easily (and I do mean literally easily) water-fast for five days. So that is what I do.
So many good talks to listen to that support what I know but also to learn anew from. Dr. Ali is one such person that worth learning from for he keeps on learning.

Putting the body into autophagy mode allowed me to cut through all the conflicting data and research and diet dogma. In short I learned to and it became easier to listen to the [clean] body's perceptic cues (sight, smells, tastes), and choose to eat what at that moment it "voices" to me. Fasting autophagy did reduce the resident parasites and yeasts that had a strong "voice" in making me choose to eat certain foods which I no longer crave at all. For example, it is known that certain parasites love milk sugars (read ice cream).
In addition previous ailments are also vanished, and I adopted a lifestyle of having a longer fasting autophagy window and a shortened feasting window, eating to satiation, no more, no less. Therefore I no longer fret so much about what was eaten as long as the fasting autophagy window over-compensates for whatever toxins entered the body.
The only other entity that poses a problem is the mind that brings up memories of, for example, how wonderful did taste that mac 'n cheese mother made for us. It's a lie though, because mac 'n cheese tastes horrible to me now - I hate the starchy taste of pasta now whereas in the past I loved all pasta. Stress eating happens - resolve what caused the stress and move on .... yes, that chocolate fudge brownie fed the stressed out mind, but resolve the mind and that psychic or psyche hunger won't happen again.

This is life-changing. I started to practise using this practice and I feel already huge benefits. I do once per week for 40-50hours and I already felt improvements after 3 weeks that brain fog is going away and my memory and attention with concentration is getting better. On top of that, you losing a huge amount of fat basically by doing nothing. And this seminar was deeply reviewed and explained how exactly does it work and what is happening during this stage. Thank you Dr. Nadir Ali

Excellent presentation as always- I'm a year into Keto/Carnivore and have done several 3 day fasts well spaced out, and one 7 day fast March 2020, a 10 day fast in September 2020- but now as I write I'm on hour 52 of a 72 hr fast....I'm always in a mild state of ketosis (>0.8 mmol/l) and most days I'm 20:4 IF so hopefully the autophagy is running most of the time...!!! In some of the info i have looked at it is thought that, a few things are related to Alzheimer's and dementia. In addition to all mentioned in Dr. Nadir Ali's video info ie low carb diet, Intermittent fasting on a 20/4 schedule, with a few 3 day fasts per annual. These other items are Sleep quality, both Depth of Sleep, and length of sleep, the depth of sleep or time spent in delta #3 & #4 state and depth of REM as well, as Poor sleep is a cause for Lack of Autophagy in the Brain, If all repair is done while sleeping, then increasing the quality of Sleep would increase the quality of Autophagy/Repair during sleep. If someone only sleeps for 4 to 6 hours sleep per night their ability to repair is lower, add to that Not being able to get into deep levels of sleep over a longer time frame while asleep, or only getting into a Light sleep, then not much repair takes place, and you have large amounts of inflammation in the brain. The thought here is to make sure the Brain is fed well during sleep, if the brain using 20% of bodies energy, and the Glucose level during sleep is low due to Insulin resistance in the brain, say in a person that has a diabetic Brain and this brain has Insulin Resistance, and can only use smaller percentage of glucose energy, due to the Brain having insulin resistance, this would say the Brain is Starving for energy while sleeping, would this cause more inflammation due to this starvation?. If that same person added 1/2 teaspoon of MCT oil C8 version, taken 2 hours before bed time, this would Greatly increase the Brain being Fed, and Sleep Quality and Brain Autophagy, plus Brain repair, both the depth of sleep in all levels of sleep, and the length of sleep, Plus Length of sleep at delta #3 and delta #4 plus REM depth, This would help keep a Poor sleeping person into a Much better Quality of sleep state, and level, increasing greatly All types of sleep and Levels of sleep. By doing this you greatly increase the Brain autophagy and the Clean out of the brain while sleeping, this would also feed the brain so that it could do the repair work needed while sleeping. I have talked to a lot of people on Healthy Keto and Intermittent Fasting with all kinds of problems. I am very surprised that the people i have talked to say they have certain problems, and then i ask them about their Sleep Quality, and they are only sleeping 5 to 6 hours per night, But once they start getting their sleep up to 7+ and it is Much Deeper sleep things Greatly improve, and very quickly, as Keto and IF has to be Backed Up by Great quality of Sleep Depth, or it doesn't have a GREAT Outcome.

The eating stops toward the very end of Alzheimer disease. The auto connection in the brain to eat is positioned at the lower back of the brain which is the last area of the brain tissue to essentially die. The brain with Alzheimer dies front to back. Its a horrible disease.

I just recently found Dr Nadir Ali`s presentations. They are awesome but can be confusing, in the recent ones he is against prolonged fasting and yet here he is quoting Dr Jason Fung`s prolonged fasting idea. Maybe I just misunderstood Dr Ali`s message on the prolonged fasting and he is not recommending to practice it more than 2-3 times a year? Anyway, it is a pleasure to see more and more doctors like him.

... enzymatically dis-assembling cellular debris, tumors, placques, etcetera from the voluminous lymphatic system, which debris gets broken down into water, gas, and particles. The lipid based lymph fluid once again flows like that of a child, and as long as one has a ratio of fasting to feasting that over-compensates for incoming toxins as a lifestyle they should go into old age much healthier than their peers.
That is certainly my case, being even now healthier than my 30+ year old daughter, even though I still have more work to do before the body gives me the "all clear".

It's better do not drink any other source apart just pure water. The only exception is black coffee with *NO SUGAR AND NO MILK* but it's better do not drink coffee during fasting if you have in mind to activate autophagy as Bill said it's better to relax the adrenal glands not over stimulate them.

I have done over several years over 4000 hours of two weeks sessions of strict dryfasting. At the beginning the goal was to restore function to a thyroid removed in 1971 and get totally off glandulars and supplements. That was accomplished and then I realized there were other issues with this 67 year old body that the same dryfasting sessions could continue to clean out the body and restore function to the great lymphatic system which washes every cell in the body. Dryfasting is king and I rely solely on dryfasting to keep the body clean and the mind clear.

    • @colleenkaralee2280
      @colleenkaralee2280 4 года назад

@Sandi Baby312 Hello Sandi. In 2016 the Nobel Prize was awarded for research results into autophagy. The body has a very voluminous lipid based fluid lymphatic system - more volume than the blood circulatory system.
The great lymphatic system is tasked with keeping the body cleansed at a cellular level (cells poop too). Autophagy when initiated by fasting, whether dry or with some water to moderate autophagy and its cleansing effects, locates, sequesters and dis-assembles lymphatic obstructions and stagnation. This restores health and vitality to all parts of the body - in the body's own intelligent approach or hierarchy of importances. The caterpillar to butterfly is a similar enzymatic process.
Most people know about water fasts for autophagy and I did do a fantastically healing 47 day fast drinking about one liter (two cups) of water daily and felt the best I'd ever felt in my whole life too, and also dropped 44 pounds as a bonus.
Sandi, as for your age and your probably normal health conditions for your age you might want to find your fasting sweet spot starting with some schedule of intermittent fasting. My intermittent fasting guru was Dr. Jason Fung, nephrologist. I binge watched all his teaching videos and read a few of his books.
My other IF guru was Gin Stephens, who has a fantastically suportive FB group with awesome before and after photos, and I read her books, "Delay Don't Deny" and "Feasting without Fear". It's all about balancing fasting with feasting (eating to satiation, no more, no less) and much less diet dogma, just some clean fasting and not eating 3 squares a day plus snacks so the the body has enough hours to remove any incoming toxins and cellular debris build-up.
The only reason I put more strenuous demands on the body with my two-weeks strict medical dryfasting is due to my age and the abuses to my body all these years and having had my thyroid totally removed in 1971. This regimen did finally get me able to stop taking synthroid and glandulars, thankfully. So, unless, for example, someone jumped out of an airplane and their chuts failed to open, most people can do just fine getting health doing some sort of intermittent fasting for autophagy. Titration and grandients are the operative words for building up tolerance and increasing certainty in how intelligent is the body.

Everyday ------ Low carb food(no starchy food) + exercise at least 30 min. a day + intermittent fasting (16/8, 18/6). When you notice your belly fat gradually reduces, your insulin level should be better.

But what if you ripped something completely in your pelvic area? Can autophagy fix that? What about with the help of powerful astringent herbs and foods?

I'm convinced autophagy can fix anything. 5 weeks into IF, my decades-long back pain literally disappeared over night. My neck, knee and hip were soon to follow...complete pain relief from the major car accident.

He still here you do lose protein but it’s “junk protein” not necessarily the protein from your muscles.
