I would love to hear a conversation between Dr. Ali and Dr. Kendrick.
I think they have had the arrow of causation for the weak correlation between LDL and CAD backwards for a long time now.

Massive credit to you Dr Nadir. This is a brilliant talk for the layman - very easy to understand and implement in daily life. I have managed to change my lifestyle using several of the suggestions even though I have made mistakes along the way 😂 I have recently adopted an alcohol free lifestyle using the ‘Habit Breaking’ techniques you suggested 👍

There is a difference that most MDs don't get - exercise is not the same as training. Training happens when you are within 10% of max ability - stimulates more muscle mass.
Also - I think it is important that we get Dr. Ali to write a book!!! PLEASE!!!

6th pillar.... remove added industrial chemicals (read food labels and eat organic) - improve cellular mitochondria fn, reduce fat cell dysfunction and chronic inflammation.

Great talk! I can see the evidences for benefits of caloric restrition. But, this can not be mantained ad infinitum otherwise you would need to use your proteins for energy, which is not good in the long run. So, I think that in order for this estrategy to work long term, one would have to feast from time to time, to replenish some level of fat storage. It is reasonable to assume that humans have done this in the past - alternate periods of feast and periods of fasting - since there was no food available all the time.
    Waiting for the next talk!

In my third year of doing LC & IF, the health benefits have been tremendous. No more drugs for hypertension (8 years), diabetes (didn't have to), and arthritic pain (16 years). Not a single pill over 2 years now. Dr Ali is my hero; what a champion doctor.
Just a thought, does the stomach really physically shrink from its 'normal' size? Or, it is a definition or a label given to the state of not feeling hunger (low/absent ghrelin) as frequently as you would on a high carb diet or even on a moderate carb diet...

The stomach is a muscle which contains stretch receptors that help you feel full. I believe the stomach has the capacity to stretch and shrink.

    Dr. Ali
We are human beings; thus, productivity and social interaction are very important. Thus, do you know if there are studies that measured productivity and the quality of life with calorie restriction and also for people on LOW CARB or KETO DIET?

Not true. People fast 16+ all the time. I've been doing it for years. Lost 35 lbs and have stayed at goal weight and great health level this whole time.
