I have to say Ryan that not only is Band Maid The Greatest Band I've heard in decades, but their production crew is one of the best I've ever seen. What a great song.
Yay!! It's like a banquet where they just keep serving distinct little slices of Maid Rock...almost like previewing different songs on and album. As we know...they can put an album worth of ideas in one song 👌❤
Great video. I love watching the girls play, they make a perfect picture. The song is currently my favorite on the album and the fact that Kanami wrote it after the loss of her grandmother as a sort of anthem to the questions of what is and what does life mean? only reinforces the emotion of her music for me. The fact that Saiki translated that feeling into lyrics about what is and what does music mean? even to someone who will listen to you in the future without having met you... seems like a move of genius to me.
This song is Epic! Definitely Loving this One. Miku and Saiki's Voices are so dang Beautiful Together... Kanami's new look is more Regal and just makes her that much more Gorgeous! All Top Notch at Their Instruments as always here! Epic Narratives is just Great Maids! 🤘🤘🤘
Thanks for featuring this. I have the CD and have been trying to absorb it all. People probably get tired of hearing it from Band-Maid fans, but they are a miracle band. They were good from the moment they got together, but their growth has been something to behold.
From an artistic point of view, this simple song is the equivalent of an entire LP side of a top 5 rock band from the sixties/seventies. And I stand my ground, because I know them ALL!
This an amazing MV, I've watched it 3 times now and each time I'm closer and closer to tears....sniffle.... But LORDY!!! How do they constantly get better after each EPIC performance......it breathtaking.
Beautiful and awesome on its own, I also feel like it's connected touchingly to their whole catalog in ways while I'll only discover by listening to it again. Oh what a sacrifice I'm about to make ;=)
I had to think about this for a while now, but I wish that this song would've been the closer track for the album rather than Get To The Top. A Great instrumental no less... but, that was of course their choice to make. This is certainly my favorite song on the album and it's my favorite for two reasons. One is that I love the song as a whole, the flow /story, the unexpectedness of the journey. The other reason it's my favorite is that you can really hear how much work went into this song. So many brilliant choices. So, the reason I wished that it would've been the closing track is that this song leaves me wanting to hear more. The song is long for a Band-Maid song and I didn't want it to end. It would've been such a good way to close, by leaving someone not wanting the album to end. Never the less, a great song on a great album. EDIT: about the video, I like that the director's choice to make the video feel like a story telling as much as a music video. There was no breaking the forth wall and the viewer could just observe the story and enjoy to song.
Have you read the Barks interview about this album and in particular how this song came to be? It's a wonderful read and really hits home. It's a brilliant song and like you, I can't wait to hear it live! Hopefully they have another US tour here! Didn't get a chance to meet you at the DC show last time around!
Great reaction. If you listen closely you can hear riffs from several different BAND MAID songs. It’s as if they saying to the old record company - ‘we can do whatever we like and make it fantastic’ the way we want it. True artists
me: the maids use a template in their song structure and exploit its effectiveness to a high degree. i can see it being utilized for a very long time... forbidden tale: what template?
Im just excited to see where their future will bring them now that they are managing themselves. I'm still waiting for an album that's classic and groovy like the song Thrill. And hopefully they start selling vinyl again like they used to. Im sure they will.
Video’s alright, nothing amazing. The shadow hand bits were evocative but otherwise it doesn’t really say anything. If it was just supposed to be pretty, I’d have taken more outdoor shots of Saiki… Watching the video does seem to ground the song, though. Maybe the visuals add continuity to counteract the wild changes? The more I hear this, the more I wish they’d ended on the slow part and not tacked on the last 10 seconds or however long it is. Start slow and end slow. More epic that way. I’m sure I’ll get dragged for saying a Band-Maid song should be shorter… 😆
But the outro makes more sense. "nobody can stop us" so keep rocking. Why not? Slow ending could've worked, but then it would've sounded like one's life ending. But the choice she made is "life must go on".
This song is not just a ballad about reminiscing about past memories with a loved one and mourning an eternal separation. All people will die eventually, but good music can give energy and courage to many people throughout the ages, so they will continue to make good music that can overcome the sadness of separation and cheer people up. I think it's a song that expresses my determination to keep making music. That's why I think it's significant that the ending doesn't return to the quiet ballad that started the song, but instead has a positive ending that lets us imagine a new start full of hope.

Really awesome video for a song that it has become an instant classic for any Band-Maid fan. So much great stuff in just under 5 minutes!
i loved the song, after i read about their interview and what was behind it and then seeing the video with the lyrics- yes i got watery eyes too
Band-Maid does it all the time.
Emotions. Thrills. Happiness.
Literally no other band leaves me happier than Band-Maid. 😍What a wonderful MV für an awesome song.😄

Always So Much Thanks Your Great & Lovely Reactions For Our Band-Maid🤘💯❤
Band-Maid hit the target again!
The lyrics.. oh gosh.. the MV… for me this is the most beautiful awesome MV .. gorgeous.. FT is one of my favourite song from the album

I call her Saiki "Jewel" Atsumi. She shines like a dark diamond.
This song sounds like a song the would fit right in on the World Domination album. It’s a great song! And the video is awesome as well.
Nobody can stop them, Po! 🖤
What an awesome song and video!
Thanks Ryan, my favorite on this album and we get a chance to see Miku rock out!!!

Enough ideas for 5 songs.
To me, this is 2024's equivalent of Alone
All that's missing is Saiki throwing equipment around the place.
World Domination?
Bring it on!!
The production on this video is pretty amazing. And yeah the lyrics are pretty powerful. 🖤🤘🏻
They have to be from another planet.
Kanami's new PRS is SICK!!!!!
I didn't think I would love an album as much as or more than Unseen World. But Band Maid has done it again. This whole album is Musicians' Porn.

Sparking awesome!
HAPPY HAPPY, JOY JOY!!
Anyone going to the Haneda show? I'll be flying over and will have some goodies to give out!
Damn, I love her voice in this, and she's gorgeous
That will be so awesome live
Unstoppable! ❤❤❤❤❤
Apparently Kanami was inspired by a recent death near to her.

I have not read that yet

This song rubs your shoulders, punches you in the face, then rinses and repeats until the end.
😅
Hahaa! 👍
@@bryandevito5120 don't forget the kick to the crotch in there
If you read the comments on the original video, each member describes the song and how it came about and how they decided to play it. Interesting read
Oooh thanks!!
From the "Bark's" interview.

I feel, that, possibly, KANAMI changes her guitar? KANAMI's guitar sound changes to a little bit heavy. I donot know. But this is my opinion.
