I am sure it is a difficult piece of 'music' to rehearse and play (for both the orchestra and the solo-ist) ; but it is a cacophony of loud sound with no melody - I would not want to learn as a hobbyist. Definitely not to be used as the last item in any concert; becos you want to send the audience away with a hummable tune when they leave the hall; and this is a piece that is definitely forgettable.

Amanni Shahan), 1526-1560, was the queen of Yerqiang Kingdom She was born on the banks of the Tizanafu River 提孜那甫河 in an area inhabited by the pre-Uyghur Dolan people, modern-day Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County 塔什库尔干塔吉克自治县 in Kashgar prefecture, west Xinjiang.
The precursor to Muqam, the "Great Western Region Melody" 西域音乐 (Xīyù yīnyuè) developed during the Han Dynasty (206 BCE-220 CE) and Tang Dynasty (618-907), from which it was imported and enjoyed in the courts of Central China. Uyghurs have local muqam systems named after the oasis towns of Xinjiang, such as Dolan, Ili, Kumul and Turpan. The most fully developed at this point is the Western Tarim region's 12 muqams, which are now a large canon of music and songs recorded from the traditional performers Turdi Akhun and Omar Akhun among others in the 1950s and edited into a more systematic system.
Amannisa Khan of the Yerqiang Kingdom (1526-1560) is credited with collecting and thereby preserving the Twelve Muqam (today considered a musical style of the Uyghur people of northwest China), while reshaping its style to draw more from the indigenous traditions of the Tian Shan mountains 天山山脉 and purging it of the Perso-Arabic. In modern China, the state commissioned musicians Wan Tongshu and Turdi Akhun to record the Muqams on tape, so that it could not be lost. They published their first album in 1960. From 2004 to 2008, over 7,000 performers have collaborated in a Chinese state project to proliferate seminars, research projects, and recordings of the Muqam.
In 2005, UNESCO designated The Uyghur Muqam of Xinjiang as part of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

Xie Xie for the music. I can count to 100 in chinese ye er san se wu leo qi ba geo chi. Then you repeat the same numbers in the right way, 47 is sichi qi or 89 is bachi geo.

+Jason Change What are the wind instruments that look like woodwinds with trumpet-type bells on them? Are they a woodwind instrument?
You should write a blog in English about Chinese symphony orchestras, composers, instrumentation, and orchestra personnel. I believe Westerners have a lot to learn from Chinese Symphony, but we know so little about it, and we don't have any way to learn about it except from people who know about it. Thank you.

      just enjoy.
