What kind of Superman is this?!! Saving people at the speed of light, taking down bad guys as least painfully as possible, and all the while making witty remarks and friendly conversation?!!! HE’S PERFECT!!!!!!
The animated movies are based on the comics more, which is usually why they're much better than their live action counterparts. There's already been a number of movies where the animated Superman has acted in the way you described.
@P Smith actually technically him and doomsday were fighting at superspeed so he was using it the entire time. they just arent going to animate them as blurs because that would be boring. and superman is faster that doomsday over all but as we saw doomsdays reflexes adapt to flash, he can adapt to superman for counters that rock him and slow him down long enough to get solid hits in before supes can go full speed again and get his hits in. Thats kinda how the fight went, superman would get his hits first then doomsday would counter rock him then superman would go back at it again etc... Doomsday's reflexes are off the chart even if he cant move at the same overall movement speed as superman. Thats also the explanation for wonderwoman being able to fight superman as well, even though shes not as fast overall, her battle reflexes keep her in the fight.
also doomsday is a tank, once superman would out-speed him and get hits his reflexes and adaptation abilities would take over allowing a counter. but to reiterate, superman was using superspeed, it's just doomsday was to and even though slower his ability to tank and counter is pretty busted.
He should have said is "no one is allowed to wreck my city, except me". You'll also notice, he called the guy a bully, while he was fearlessly fighting Superman even though he didn't have a chance..... while Superman was mocking him. I don't think Superman knows what a bully is either. The robbers weren't even there to bully, but to do a job.
Jasper Edwards to be honest when it comes to Superman’s rouges gallery Super speed would not be super effective, since most of them are either equally powerful or can easily adapt to fighting with Superman thanks to energy and experience
not trying to make excuses but I think it's because it seems like he's moving that much more faster than a regular human but he's fighting on the same level as people with super speed and strength
Jasper Edwards To be fair he is. But watching blurry figures makes for poor television. Think of it as watching from the villains perspective. To this nobody villain he really is moving faster than the eye can see. To Doomsday he’s fast but not that fast
He says he really hates bullies, while he kicks their asses and mocks them while they fearlessly do their best to fight him even though they're fighting a hopeless battle.
That's because in the old shows they had to tone down Supes so he wouldn't so badly overshadow the rest of the JL. In this one, they need you to see just how easy it is for him before dropping Doomsday in.

Zack was trying to tell a story about How the alien can become the Superman we love in reality, and this needs long time and dramatic incidents so humanity can accept him. Then see how Zack got hated just because he wanted to try something different. This is why Superman seldom smile in MoS and BvS: the World is too mean to accept something that is unfamiliar to it.
RXイッカク exactly, like Johnathon Kent’s quote: “people are afraid of what they don’t understand” I love the Superman we got for mos and BvS. It was a realistic take if Superman was in our present day world. You see good people all the time but the media, people, they always have issues with something and want to tear it down. Man of steel showed a Man who was just an ordinary Kansas farmer. He hide his abilities because people would think he’s a freak. I mean look at some of the reactions to people when something is done and said differently then what is the social norm. In BvS, we see the after effect of the introduction to Superman. Yes Superman saved tons of people but people died as well. I forgot the exact quote but in season 1 of arrow, there was this part that Oliver was unconscious for most of the episode. Diggle and felicity were trying to revive him. Felicity questions why they do what they do, sure they are trying to help save the city but people die. But like diggle, there are always casualties/collateral damage when fighting a war. It was Superman fighting a war against krypton to save the people of earth. People were going to die, Zod is sadly one of those casualties. I think the one scene you should definitely revisit is the Day of the Dead Ultimate Edition scene from BvS. It shows how controversial Superman is. It shows the type of people in the world: the ones who are sensitive and take note of every small action and take majority of it as a personal attack or a political offense, those who side with Superman “maybe he’s not a devil or Jesus character, maybe he’s just a guy trying to do the right thing” Snyder was trying to build up to the Superman we know and love, and he told us about it in man of steel... JOR EL: “you will give the people of earth an ideal to strive towards. THEY WILL STUMBLE, THEY WILL FALL (BvS, the debate of whether Superman is an actual good for them or not, whether they should stand by him or not), but in time, THEY WILL JOIN YOU IN THE SUN (meaning we will soon finally see the man in blue we know and love)
Except in the suit which controls the Power Cosmic(Ziran Armour), he'd literally be able to wipe supes from existence... he could fight with thanos on par with the suit.
Yeah, except then more weird comic book craziness happens and then Ziran Armor Iron Man gets trapped in the Source Wall for fooling around with the Power Cosmic. Until something else frees him. Which doesn't matter because Superman Prime shows up and the Power Cosmic just isn't Cosmic enough. But none of that matters because all this is leading up to some big crossover fest that ends with both continuities getting reset again. Friggin comics, man.
People are saying that this is how they should do Superman. But they don’t realize that Superman has always been like this. The only reason they don’t know, is because the only Superman media they know is the live action movies and some other things here and there
Gee those suits and the one Lex has latter looks like they would be really useful to mass produce in the event of I don't know some one like Darkseid tried to concur the earth but I guess the odds of that are next to impossible.
These suits here they got from Darkseid. They're a precursor to his invasion. But yea. Since the first Darkseid invasion they've relied too heavily on superman and the JLA to deal with problems like that
@@Schwartzbruder1 I'll admit it's been awhile since I watched the movies but I thought Lex reverse-engineer the tech from Darkseid's first invasion. Not that he was given them by Darkseid

true that and everyone like "that is the real superman." Can you not see the big ass damage the villains made? He could've just started by ripping off their suit, and when I watched the "I don't like bullies" lines, it makes me think of Superman as a bully. Like he literally throws him in the air after that. he could have beaten them without breaking the putting dents into the roads and buildings but u know no one tears up his city and gets away with it. Still cool scene.
Now this, *THIS* is Superman!
3:47 Ironically superman says ``You know if theres one thing I can't stand it's a bully" and becomes the bully himself
No one tears my city apart and gets away with it.................. except for Superman himself.
Regular bullets versus crazy suits that are clearly going to withstand bullets. "Don't give me a reason." XD
🤔🤔🤔🤔No one Tears my city apart and gets away with it.....but me😂😂😂
No one destroys my city except me when fighting villains.
No one tears up my city except for me when I'm in a fight or drunk.
Jerry O'Connor nailed it as Superman
I was 9 when this comic came out and it literally shook up the world
At the beginning of every movie or tv show, it's peaceful, but later on, it's mayhem
"No one tears my city apart and gets away with it"
Clark, did you see how much needless destruction you caused taking these guys down?
I was expecting him to say "No one tears my city apart, except me."
take notes Zack Snyder THIS is how you do superman
I like both the versions.
he already did it well jackass , if you didnt liked it then its okay but seriously giving a world class director notes on how to make movies when you are nowhere close to his status 🤣🤣jackass
@@SCGRAPHY the only plus of zack's superman is henry cavill
Zack was trying to tell a story about How the alien can become the Superman we love in reality, and this needs long time and dramatic incidents so humanity can accept him. Then see how Zack got hated just because he wanted to try something different. This is why Superman seldom smile in MoS and BvS: the World is too mean to accept something that is unfamiliar to it.
RXイッカク exactly, like Johnathon Kent’s quote: “people are afraid of what they don’t understand”
I love the Superman we got for mos and BvS.
It shows the type of people in the world: the ones who are sensitive and take note of every small action and take majority of it as a personal attack or a political offense, those who side with Superman “maybe he’s not a devil or Jesus character, maybe he’s just a guy trying to do the right thing”
Snyder was trying to build up to the Superman we know and love, and he told us about it in man of steel...
0:54 Why are there 7 bullets in there?
Superman: "If there's one thing I can't stand, it's a bully."
Proceeds to bully 3 men, and needlessly destroy buildings and roads.
Standing up to bullies does not constitute bullying
SUPERMAN:There is 1 thing i can't stand is bulling
ME:😂😅🤣
If Superman acted this way, like 99% of his villains will loose in like 10 seconds
Well we now know how Iron Man would do against Superman.
Yeah, no one in the MCU Avengers really has anything for fully powered Superman.
He'd probably do better than these schmucks, but he'd still lose in his best armor.
Except in the suit which controls the Power Cosmic(Ziran Armour), he'd literally be able to wipe supes from existence... he could fight with thanos on par with the suit.
I didn't know he had one that powerful.
At 4:19 he should had " except me of course"
People are saying that this is how they should do Superman. But they don’t realize that Superman has always been like this. The only reason they don’t know, is because the only Superman media they know is the live action movies and some other things here and there
see, these are the kind of people who take time to learn things. the people who write these kind of comments.
"If theres one thing I can't stand, its a bully." Says the demi-god shamelessly toying with two-bit mooks.
I really thought for a sec he was gonna say "No one tears my city apart except me"
Funny he says no one can tear apart his city, when he caused all that property damage. He could of simply ripped their suits off in a second avoiding all that damage.
true that and everyone like "that is the real superman." Can you not see the big ass damage the villains made? He could've just started by ripping off their suit, and when I watched the "I don't like bullies" lines, it makes me think of Superman as a bully. Like he literally throws him in the air after that. Is that not bullying?
