I’ve had 3 strokes, the first when I was only 34yrs. old.
Invisible illnesses are so hard for people to understand, so I’m happy to see more Information coming out that helps others to judge us less, and see more of who we are on our good days.
I'll NEVER Understand how Some Humans need to see to Believe when it comes to Other Humans, but have No Problem believing in a God they can't See, through Faith alone. Why is so Hard to Treat people w/ Compassion & Kindness? I just don't get it.
It's almost like People Pick & Choose what they'll Believe in & the Rest is Strictly "Gotta See it to Believe it & you look Fine"... But, the Bullying & Nastiness is outside my Realm of Understanding. I could NEVER Treat Someone Horribly just bc I'm not able to Physically See their Condition, Illness, What they're Feeling or Going through, etc... But, I'm more than Willing to Listen & try to Understand what they're going through & Dealing w/. It's NOT a Hard Concept.
Why would anyone feel the need to Treat Someone Horribly, just bc they can't see a Condition?... We can't always tell when Someone is Depressed or When they're Losing their Grip on wanting to Live, but it doesn't mean they aren't Depressed or that they're not Clinging onto Life w/ all the Mental Strength they can Muster. Who are they to Judge Someone else?
Why do these People think they have the Right to add an Extra Unnecessary Layer of Crap into the Life Bucket of Someone else, who's going through Something or Not? Why would they want to Hurt Someone else?? I REALLY Wish those Types of People would Spend that Time Focusing on themselves & becoming Better Humans. I couldn't possibly have been the only 1 taught at a VERY Young Age that you Treat Others the Way you'd expect to be Treated... & that Kindness doesn't Cost a Thing to give to Others bc it's FREE.

Glad she found love. She reminds me of a friend who always felt empty and lonely in all her relationships, and then at 35 she met a woman and fell in love. They've got kids together now too. Sometimes finding love takes an open mind.

I had a boyfriend who committed suicide after having 2 traumatic brain injuries within 6 months (both from being rear ended in traffic), it completely screwed him up. I had zero knowledge of TBIs before that but now I’m so aware of how serious they can be. So glad Rebel is championing this cause

We only see the physical transformation, but important to know that her year of health was about mind and body. She seems to really be grounded in herself.
