Couldn’t agree more, Emmure has finally moved from “absolute shit” to “ehhh they’re kinda decent I guess”. Been hoping for them to crawl out of their shithole for a long time now.
Their first 3 were mediocre. Speaker of the Dead and Slave to The Game were fucking awesome.
I think this is the only song ever that I KNEW would eventually be popular enough to get a video based on the first 10 seconds alone.

I love this version of Emmure,and have been a fan since the respect issue,we wouldn't have this Emmure without the old Emmure,more people need to check out their older records to appreciate this one even more for the sound change!

Goodbye to the Gallows in 2007 was one of the best hardcore/metal albums of that year in my opinion. Everyone was on that shit! I remember seeing these dudes play the shittiest bar in Kent, Ohio. Fucking crazy!

I always thought Emmure was the worst thing ever happened to metalcore/deathcore. But after hearing the modern bands in 2021-2022, I gotta admit that Emmure is awesome.
emmure still have that metallic hardcore enegry that is missing in so much of modern metalcore/deathcore band nowadays, every band is doing the same thing with that super ridiculously overproduced and pulished production that is barely listenable for someone needing something heavy.

Be completely honest, I'm not the biggest Emmure fan, but Look At Yourself is an absolutely cracking album, Flag of the beast is my favourite closely followed by this tune! 😀

It's funny I'm an Emmure fan. And this album honestly sounds like most albums they've produced. I think changing their lineup changed people's perspective on the band lol
Evan Wiger I agree. They don't sound all that different...maybe more samey? I can't seem to really choose a song from this new album that stands out and doesn't bleed into the next song. I think they didn't change at all and took a step backwards. Sounds harsh but...when you market an album solely around the fact that it's the best and different but then....isn't, it's dissapointing to say the least.

This whole album was very impressive. I love Emmure, but I could totally see why alot of people didn't like them before. Look At Yourself is such a big improvement on pretty much all aspects that were lacking from them before

The only song i barely even got through listening to, is Solar Flare Homicide. The intro on that song is fucking smashing and disgustingly heavy. And yes... i went through their records and it were utter shit. Absolute garbage.

I noticed after Speaker Of The Dead I couldn't listen to the whole albums front to back cause some songs lacked and just weren't enjoyable for me but Look At Yourself is full swing back on killer complete albums you can listen straight through it and every song has something gnarly to offer! It helps that I'm a huge Joshua Travis fan as well. But he really mixes well with frankies vocals. This album is so heavy and ugly yet simple and to the point

In 2006 my friend Gary brought me to a church/skatepark a little ways from Syracuse NY where emmure was playing. They were just a small band back then and they were drinking beers with us after. It was awesome. They had emmure shirts that were bloody chainsaw logos(sick as fuck) Gary kept in touch with Frankie.. I knew they’d blew up and they did. Been a huge fan ever since. 🤟🏻

I’m an old metal head, 52. I’ve been there since the beginning of metal and the beginning of Emmure. They have always put out killer heavy music. But this iteration is fucking brutal, and I’m loving it. The riffing is just filthy as fuck. Heavy chunky shit. Would like to see some lead guitar type “ethereal” soloing every now and then. I’m a little old school on that kinda guitar work. But hey, if it’s heavy, I’m happy. Glad to see the younger crowd flying the metal flag high. 🤘🏻

When I saw them it was in Saratoga springs N.Y., I was disappointed because they played on the same stage as Ill Nino and didn't play La Epidemea, either way was still a phenomenal show
