    I am currently using Alcon Dailies AquaComfort Plus, since besides it, the only readily available options we had locally here in the PH are the Acuvue Moist, Bausch Lomb Softlens Daily, and SEED 1dayPure moisture. I am looking for dailies one and so far I'm not quite sure if Alcon Dailies AquaComfort Plus the best one. Can you suggest anything that is healthy to the eye since afaik only SEED 1dayPure is the Silicon Hydrogel. The Total 1, Precision 1 or even the Acuvue Oasys Oneday are known to be one but non of them is available here.

      Hi friend! I would say go with whatever is Silicone Hydrogel since they are many times more breathable than the older hydrogel ones like 1 Day Moist, Aqua Comfort Plus, and Softlens. How is life in the PH? Did you grow up there?

      @ennmix888 10 месяцев назад

      Yes I grew up and currently living in the Philippines, thank you for the reply. I'm kinda hesitant since the SEED 1dayPure is made in Japan and I don't see a lot of reviews here in youtube. Thanks again@@doctorsmith

    I've tried several contact lenses and the Air Optix Aqua Night and Day continue to be my favorite; I can't feel them at all. I primarily use Optifree Puremoist with Hydraglyde and ClearCare Plus with Hydraglyde. 👌🏽👀

      That lens is so breathable too. Still one of the most breathable on the market right now. Not a bad choice of lens my friend! Out of curiosity do you live in a dry or humid environment?

      Hi David! I have a RUclips trick that you might want to try ☺️
      While the video is playing, click the settings button on the video. It looks like a cog. It’s at the top right of the screen. Click on playback speed, then you can test different speeds until you find one you like. ☺️ I hope that helps!!

      @Mr2ndKings you can do this for all RUclips videos. I love this feature. I also like to speed up if the I’m doing research and just want to “Skim” a video for highlights.

    How does one deal with the issue of wearing contacts with low Antimetropia? When worn, everything is clear at a distant but you can't read anything up close. Is there a fix to this? Multifocal lenses don't seem to work well, it's neither clear nor blurry, might as well not wear anything.

    • @doctorsmith
      @doctorsmith  5 месяцев назад +1

      That’s a great question Jack. Mono vision is another option but not perfectly clear either. Glasses are the best to see far away at 100% and near at 100% at a specific set near working distance that your doctor sets you at. Unless you can turn back time there is actually not even any type of eye surgery even that can bring back both distance and near vision. One day it will come but until then, eyeglasses in the form of bifocals or progressives are your best bet. Your probability of success in mono vision and multifocal contacts is also dependent on your motivation to get out of eyeglasses at least part time, but even with that the vision is still not perfect. It’s important to understand that before you try monovision and multifocal contact lenses. Hope this helps you Jack. 👍

    I use biofinity energys, and they work great for me. My first ever pair of contact lenses. I just got them about last month and they are very good for what I do. I'm a very active cyclist, putting about 30+ miles a week commuting to work, and around 10hrs/week just riding around for enjoyment. These contacts stayed in my eyes pretty well even with wind, and I'm also on my phone alot at night learning off RUclips or doing reasearch on things. These are great for me and I really don't even feel them at all. It feels like I have normal vision like I used to when I was younger, and I absolutely love it and I am NEVER going back to glasses as my daily eyesight.

      Not to mention the energys are rated for a couple days of wearing, I don't wear them like that but it's comforting to know I won't get brain damage from accidentally falling asleep in them.

      Thanks for taking the time to share what brand is working for you with the community! Very interesting to hear what brands work best. It seems like multiple people have left a comment about how they love Biofinity. Let’s hope the manufacturer “Coopervision” doesn’t discontinue the product any time soon. I know that happens to all brands of contacts eventually.

    I've worn the Acuve Oaysis bi-weekly lenses for 10 years. I got an eye infection and my doctor recommended i switch to dailies. I've tried so many brands and snd they dont fit my eyes. I want to just go back to bi-weeklys.

      Ask your eye doctor about the Total 30’s by Alcon. They last 30 days and they’re soooo comfy. Way better than Acuvue Oasys biweekly. The Oasys biweekly have been out for something like 20 years. Older technology.

    Good tip at the end! I was just thinking about that this morning, that I should try handling the contacts at a minimum. I am fairly new at wearing contacts. I have great vision but presbyopia has been an issue for me the last 10 years. I finally got to the point that cheaters always had to be on me to get by. Tried several types of multifocal contacts. Seems my best vision came from MyDay by coopervision. Problem has been comfort. I know I have contacts in all day and as they dry out my vision suffers. Recently switched back to DailiesTotal1 multifocal after only using them in a trial period when first wearing contacts. I had zero experience so was not sure what to expect, or how contacts feel. I am on day 3 with these again and they are the most comfortable lenses ever! I also tried BioTrue, and found them about as comfortable as the MyDay. My eyes still seem to be learning the multifocal technology in DailiesTotal1 but so far the comfort is winning me over,. Even if overall vision quality can't be achieved, what good are contacts if they annoy me all day. I need a hybrid of the two technologies to have the perfect situation. Hopefully the DailiesTortal1 will improve as I get used to them?

      Hi Daniel, I agree with you on the amazing comfort from the dailies total 1. I hope they find a way to help you see better with them though.

      Daniel how is the adaptation to the Dailies Total 1 going vision wise?
