  • When I set out to start a garden last year, I knew I wanted my raised beds to be FULL of vegetables, herbs and flowers. Thankfully, I stumbled across another content creator who introduced me to "winter sowing." With the winter sowing process I could afford to start over 50 different kinds of vegetable, flower and herb seeds- in my BACKYARD! I didn't need to buy seed trays and grow lights and the whole seed starting setup.
My intention with this video is to give you a visual on how to start your milk/water jugs and get the whole process going... because I know some of you can start your winter sown seeds this week!
I hope this video finds the people who need the guidance, and inspires those who need that extra push in starting their backyard garden this year!
    Happy Planting,
    Maria

I found you on TikTok and then just came across your youtube videos when I was looking for Winter sowing videos. I just sowed echinacea and roman chamomile. I want to get some walla walla onions and lemon balm going as well. This is my first year trying the Winter sowing method. I am in zone 6a NW Pennsylvania.

Thank you for saying hi and leaving a message. I’m so happy you did! Yes, so excited for our winter sowing project this year. I’ve started Walla Walla onions and celery so far. Echinacea is on my list for next round. I’m happy to be doing this together! Please let me know how it goes! Happy Planting! 😊🌸♥️

FYI…I didn’t not have enough jugs saved up and called my closest STARBUCKS. They gladly saved up milk jugs for me and I was able to get 20 from them in 2 days.

Is the worm castings a must? 😬 haven’t been successful on finding them at my local store
