That's one clean looking 4600! I almost bought a 4610 several months ago. Thinking back now, I probably should have. It was cool watching you have fun, every once in a while I'll do the same.. we're all still kids inside!
1st tractor I ever drove was a Ford 2000 my grandpa had on his farm. I've got an ih 464 diesel with 3700 hrs on it that is getting a makeover it was my wife's grandpa's. Cant beat those older fords and I also love the old ih I've got now it was built in the mid 70's. Thanks for the video
Glad the New Holland is working for you, In the last 16yrs, only kubota issue, All 6, has been batteries and tires. Old Ford Reliability, Even have a 80's model B7100 4x4, runs like new. New Holland higher price, kept me away also. Great Video, nice donuts with dads tractor, you remind me if my oldest son, he is 38
This video popped up in my feed and I know I've probably watched it before but just had to again. That's one sweet tractor. The SU's are a nice tractor.🤤lol
They are great tractors and very sought after over here as there are not many physically smaller 60hp tractors of that age with good hydraulics with draft control and live drive PTO. Yours looks to be in tip top condition after the make over and repaint. Yours has power assisted steering and the de-lux seat as well! What I did notice is that the dishes on the rear wheels are slightly different. The only occasional issue with them is that they can be a bit light on the front end but inside front wheel weights were often fitted to combat this.
+Dan Whiteford. Yeah anyone that has one around here holds on to them hardly ever see one for sale. The hydraulics on this one is a little slow but everything else works great on it and it does have inside wheel weights on the front!
I would presume you have the hydraulics flow control knob screwed either all the way in or out - I cannot remember which way is fast and which way is slow! The other thing does yours have the auxiliary hydraulic pump driven off the starter ring (I think) on the LH side -just about behind your tool box?
+Dan Whiteford. The lift is plenty fast, it's the auxiliary remotes on the back that are slow. I don't think this one has that pump on it. We have an industrial ford that has that pump though. Thanks for the helpful advice!
DLH Farms, you should get a little equipment to help run that farm! Just kidding! Nice Ford tractor! I have a Ford 4000 1969 still going strong! Thanks for sharing!
I understand sentimental value. I'm currently trying to buy my grandfathers John Deere 4430 from the guy that bought it at the estate auction. Yes we are a green family here. I hope we can still get along lol
+Big Dreams on Small Acres. Sure we can get along! I don't care what color it is as long as it's a tractor! Im a tractor man! I hope you can get that tractor back! There is a 7710 ford that I would love to have because of sentimental value.
Man U got a lot of equipment and u got a kicker for the small square bales or think the accumulator is better I seen a few of your videos with the accumulator I didn’t know them older ford tractors are nice we one on the farm I used to work on and we also had a 6410 as the round baling tractor and to load with and a newer new holland to load with too and we had just a new holland 630 4x4 round bales twine tie and enjoy your videos and have a nice day bud
I like the little Ford's first tractor I drove was a 2000. Baled a lot of hay with a 3600. one of these years I have to redo it. The 3600 we got will do 22 MPH lol. It move right along. lol
DLH Farms Lol! We used to have a 1600. Was really small could run for ever on such a small tank of fuel had to have counterweights on the front to do anything with. We used for spraying, bush hog small areas, plow a small orchard. We nicknamed it the doodlebug.
A farm hand that I knew got smashed by the tractor, starting it like that, he thought it was in neutral and he went to start it and it ran him over and squished him. Please be careful when you are starting it like that, it's better to be on it 👍😀
+Dylan Swagnasty66. Thanks for your concern, you are correct that it's best to be on the tractor, but I triple checked to make sure it was in neutral and I know this tractor won't start while in gear. As a matter of fact you have to wiggle the stick around in the neutral position while turning the key to get it to turn over.
+Dylan Swagnasty66. I know that's not really an excuse for doing it, but it happens occasionally, but I always check check check before turning the key.
I have started mine like that hundreds of times and always ready to jump on or out of the way. Complacency can kill the cat! Even with the safety switch, accidents can happen. A very good friend was working on his 3000 and started it from the side. The safety bypass switch shorted out, the tractor started in gear, and he was severely crushed. He lived and recovered - a tough 80 year old! He said that was nothing compared to flying missions in a bomber in WWII.
Massey Ferguson. Here try this link it's not a review of the machine per say but it's a good video of it. Tell me what you think. I have this video unlisted for various reasons. ruclips.net/video/-kWbKA8w5g0/видео.html
+Allan Cundiff. I own two tractors, the T5.120, and the TN95. My dad owns the rest of them, he bought the T6030 back when I first started doing hay to help me out, and to push snow for the highway department in the winter, he inherited the 4600, it came from his dad's farm, he got the 6640 back in 2003 to run our Haybuster straw blower, he has two TC55's that we use on a daily basis for our construction company, there is a ford 1910 around here somewhere, also a TC40DA my mom uses to load mulch, If you seen my videos with the TW-20, or 7710 those also came from my Grandpa's farm my dad's brother inherited them, there is also a 4610 that my dad's youngest brother inherited.
My design for mounting the tool box did not require it to be chopped out. Figures. When jump starting a battery, put the ground onto a ground spot not so you get a spark to go BOOM!! The 4600 SU when I was looking at them cost $10,460. Oh your throttle nut is too tight as the Gromit hole is a slot so is worn
That looks physicaly alot smaller than the 4600 models in Europe. Much lower to the ground, lighter front axle, no tomb stone casting over the front axle, smaller wheels.. . Its like a 4600 engine in the skid off a 2600!! What does SU mean. Is it some compact version..
+Jan Kotze Thanks Jan! It's a nice old tractor to have around. The SU stands for special utility. It's a smaller frame than a standard 4600 but has the same power and rear end. It has the set back front axle and short wheel base for working in tight areas.
My dad rebuilt the Massey Ferguson one time but I can't run it any more being my hip isn't able to constantly push the clutch to go forward an backwards.
+John MacPherson. What type of equipment do you plan to run with the tractor? How steep is the land you plan to farm? This is very important to know before choosing a tractor. This tractor I is good for very light implements like a new Holland 256 hay rake on moderately steep land and can handle a bit larger stuff like a square baler on very flat ground. If you have any hills at all you need to have a four wheel drive Tractor as your main Tractor for safety reasons. You also need to know how much PTO horse power you need to run the implements you plan to buy. This Tractor has about 50 PTO horse power.
Hey Dennis, I purchased a used 555 b backhoe long story, I had engine problems with it so I just got my money back. As the guy was loading it up I noticed a decal on it. It was sold new in your hometown, I was surprised. I am here 20 miles S E of Canton Ohio thats a long way from you all. Ron
+Ron and Lori Wood. I'm not surprised at all Meadows of Dan farm service was probably the biggest backhoe dealer on the east coast they sold thousands of them. They would sell Pike electric 100 of them at a time.
that's a nice size tractor for yard work put a blower on the front for winter and a blade on the back for summer I could play in my yard all year long ehhh
DLH Farms very good tractors had about 5 or 6 of them and a few 4000's It has a lambourn cab I prefer the q cab Or Duncan cab I sold a tractor and took it as a trade in
very nice a real Ford tractor, I really love Ford New Holland tractors before they sold out to cnh international...now they just foriegn made garbage unfortunately..same company makes case and a few others...the new ones are just not very good machines in my opinion...it's why I went with Kubota for my new hay tractor, keep my old 3000 though for raking and blading driveway
+Daniel Thomason. Fiat bought Ford tractor company in 1990, which is the same company that owns Dodge and Ram trucks. They still own it to this day at some point don't know the year they purchased Case, that's when the started CNH it just means Case New Holland, The T6 and T7 tractors are made in the same factory in England that the 7700 ford tractors were made in back in the 80s, the T8 and T9 tractors are made in Wisconsin right here in the USA. The T5 I have was made in Italy, It hasn't had any problems. They do have some models that I wouldn't own that are built to compete with the E series John Deere, like the TS models and some of the workmasters, stay away from those. But i make all my hay hay with New Holland tractors and am very happy with them. I used my father in law 7060 Kubota to move some hay the other day, I wouldn't trade any of my New Hollands for it.
That's one clean looking 4600! I almost bought a 4610 several months ago. Thinking back now, I probably should have. It was cool watching you have fun, every once in a while I'll do the same.. we're all still kids inside!
+Denny's Country Life. Yes! My wife will tell you I never grew up! Lol
My grandfather brought this one at our orchard farm and it's still there. Absolute beast. I've driven it too.
Awesome 👍. I grew up on old Ford's.
That is one stunning tractor. i love the old ford tractors, would love a 5000 myself. well done on looking after such an amazing piece of machinery.
+Joel Toombs. Thanks Joel! Love the old Fords
The seats on these are amazing!!
That sure is a nice tractor. It is good to see it still running and being used.
+Sid Bolden. Thanks Sid, it is a really good old tractor.
Glad the New Holland is working for you, In the last 16yrs, only kubota issue, All 6, has been batteries and tires. Old Ford Reliability, Even have a 80's model B7100 4x4, runs like new. New Holland higher price, kept me away also. Great Video, nice donuts with dads tractor, you remind me if my oldest son, he is 38
He's not much older than me I'm 33
I dream of having this tractor. Wow! What a sweetheart!
+David knows. I hope you can find you one someday! It's a good Tractor to have around.
Lol, this video reminded me of my brother and myself doing donuts on Dad's old 8N when we were kids!!!
+Chris Figgatt. Lol fun times!
That's an impressive fleet of various "toys" you have there to keep you occupied.
+tgh117. Lol yeah I guess you could put it that way.
We have a 6600 and that's what I learned to drive when I was little. I have a IH 1466 sitting in the barn that's about to get a facelift here soon👍
+Spencer McGinty. My grandpa had a 6600 with a loader on it, it's still going today my uncle owns it. Tough old tractor!
We have a 1981 Ford 3600 Orchard Narrow since new. Regular service as you say and it still runs like a top.
+AppleHank. Those Tractors would run forever as long as you take care of them!
Nice Tractor. Put quite a few hours on a 3600 years ago, it was my favorite Tractor to drive.
Cool deal 👍
This video popped up in my feed and I know I've probably watched it before but just had to again. That's one sweet tractor. The SU's are a nice tractor.🤤lol
Yeah it’s a nice old tractor.
Very nice tractor and video.
+Chuck Stevenson Thanks for watching!
Love your outbuildings.
+Russ Se. We love them too, just need more of them! Lol
how are you????
very nice paint on that tractor
+Travis mohwinkel. Thanks! They did do a pretty good job on it!

FORD IS GOLD 💪👌 👍 SIMPLY THE BEST 💪👍❤️
Nice Ford, I'd give that little tractor a good home. ;)
I bet, but she already has a good home.
Nice handy little tractor.
+David Dahl. Yep sure is!
Very nice tractor, they're very powerful for their size, we had one with the 4610 spec, would love to get it back
+Sean McGeeney. We had an actual 4610 with the syncro mesh transmission. My dad's youngest brother ended up with it. I'll do a review on it one day!
DLH Farms Aw that's great, love the old Fords, was so cool seeing you have a bit of fun on this one
+Sean McGeeney. Yeah they were definitely legendary in my mind!
DLH Farms Pity it all had to end, New Hollands are great, we have one ourselves but it would be that bit cooler if they were still a Ford
+Sean McGeeney. I agree!
Very nice tractor, we have a 4600 that we use for the fertiliser sower and square baler, here in Northern Ireland. You can see it in one of my videos.
+John Mullan. Sounds good I will check it out when I get a chance!
from kingsport tn.you seem very talented with farm equipment. i like your 🎥.
Very nice tractor i like very much ford tractor 4600
Thanks
DLH Farms, you should get a little equipment to help run that farm! Just kidding! Nice Ford tractor! I have a Ford 4000 1969 still going strong! Thanks for sharing!
Those Ford's never die
That's a good looking tractor
+Jack Johnson. Thanks Jack!

nices tractor and good video I have on of them there in Ireland 4600 ford bes on the farm they are good little tractor to and pull
+Ciaran Ogorman. Very good old tractors. Thanks for watching!
Love the Ford
Thanks!
nice looking tractor
Thanks
We have a Ford 3930 good tractor it came from the same dealer. The dealer sold a lot of tractors back then.
+dirt bike rider a. Yep that dealer is only a mile or so down the road from here.
DLH Farms did they closed down?
+dirt bike rider a. Yes the guy that owned it retired.
DLH Farms like you said it’s hard to beat a Ford I saw a 4930 with 4000 hours on it and runs good
+dirt bike rider a. We had a new 4630 back when we had the dairy I really liked it
Man U got a lot of equipment and u got a kicker for the small square bales or think the accumulator is better I seen a few of your videos with the accumulator I didn’t know them older ford tractors are nice we one on the farm I used to work on and we also had a 6410 as the round baling tractor and to load with and a newer new holland to load with too and we had just a new holland 630 4x4 round bales twine tie and enjoy your videos and have a nice day bud
Thanks David! I've never had a kicker but love the accumulator system.
DLH Farms your welcome and the only problem with a kicker is having a bunch of kicker wagons and seams like the accumulator is a nice set up
Ford tractor beautiful voice
Thanks!
I have a 74 ford 4000. I run a 7ft haybine on. Best little tractor to have around.
👍
Nice Tractor
+FixinThatUp. Thanks!
I like the little Ford's first tractor I drove was a 2000. Baled a lot of hay with a 3600. one of these years I have to redo it. The 3600 we got will do 22 MPH lol. It move right along. lol
+Dan Fike. The first tractor I ever drove was a 1600 Ford 4wd. Those 3600s were scary fast for a small two wheel drive tractor!
DLH Farms the 2000 got traded for a little 1710 4wd man it takes a beatting lol your right about scary fast. for their size
+Dan Fike. We have a 1910, good tractor hard to start though.
DLH Farms Lol! We used to have a 1600. Was really small could run for ever on such a small tank of fuel had to have counterweights on the front to do anything with. We used for spraying, bush hog small areas, plow a small orchard. We nicknamed it the doodlebug.
+Justin James. Lol awesome nickname

nice to see sway bar on the lift. don't know how to work 3pt with out. crIgslist Pa nice one 4sale
+kim culver. Yeah, some tractors didn't have them and I don't see how you could use it without them!
very nice tractor ford.
Thanks!
Do you own all that equipment and can u do a review of the cat digger in the back
+Massey Ferguson. My dad owns it! Sure I could probably do a video on it when I get time.
Massey Ferguson. Here try this link it's not a review of the machine per say but it's a good video of it. Tell me what you think. I have this video unlisted for various reasons. ruclips.net/video/-kWbKA8w5g0/видео.html

Hard to beat the Ford tractors for reliability.
+Chris Deyton. You got that right!
You are awesome
+Ray Crank. Lol. I guess..
Great video
how many tractors have you got when I was younger we had a Ford 2000 and 3000. I loved them they would always start up no matter how cold it got
+Allan Cundiff. I own two tractors, the T5.120, and the TN95. When jump starting a battery, put the ground onto a ground spot not so you get a spark to go BOOM!!
The 4600 SU when I was looking at them cost $10,460.
Oh your throttle nut is too tight as the Gromit hole is a slot so is worn
“Drifting on a 4600” woulda been a good video title 😂
True lol
That looks physicaly alot smaller than the 4600 models in Europe. Much lower to the ground, lighter front axle, no tomb stone casting over the front axle, smaller wheels.. . Its like a 4600 engine in the skid off a 2600!! What does SU mean. Is it some compact version..
Yes special utility model.
@@DLHFarms it would be good on the yard scraper /brush over here in the cattle units.. 😉
sounds better than my well used Ford 4000. cranks a lot better too.
+Soybean Farmer. Is yours addicted to ether? This one used to be before the rebuild. It could be 90 and it would still want ether!
My farm was all Ford, until new holland, shopped every brand, my whole Farm Rock solid dependable KUBOTA! Tractors From 37hp to 111hp
More power to ya, Kubota is "ok" equipment but their not getting any more of my money.
If the hours are original, then you have a collectors wish! Maybe worth a look!
+jskfoto. It has about 5000 hours on it.
Sell her for 5,000. Ford tractors all you do is maintain the engine they truly last forever. Reliability dependability and longevity.
+Bristol Bishop Bishop. Don't really want to sell her. Good ol' tractor!
Man that is awesome, I love that Ford's a lot, it's looks great thanks for the review. EDIT, what does the SU means
+Jan Kotze Thanks Jan! It's a nice old tractor to have around. The SU stands for special utility. It's a smaller frame than a standard 4600 but has the same power and rear end. It has the set back front axle and short wheel base for working in tight areas.
Thanks, I have noticed it looks like a 3000, very nice.
+Jan Kotze. Correct, it's similar in size to the 3000 but has more power and weight.
Is that Ford a 3 cyc. or 4? It sounds like 4 to me.
+walter mattson. It's a 3 cylinder
Your Ford tractor does sound a lot like the Perkins on the massey
They sound similar but it's a Ford built engine. They ran forever with no issues.
My dad rebuilt the Massey Ferguson one time but I can't run it any more being my hip isn't able to constantly push the clutch to go forward an backwards.
It sucks getting old, I'm finding that out the hard way.
would you suggest this tractor for a hobby farm, or make a suggestion for a good all around tractor on a small farm?
+John MacPherson. What type of equipment do you plan to run with the tractor? How steep is the land you plan to farm? This is very important to know before choosing a tractor. This tractor I is good for very light implements like a new Holland 256 hay rake on moderately steep land and can handle a bit larger stuff like a square baler on very flat ground. You also need to know how much PTO horse power you need to run the implements you plan to buy. This Tractor has about 50 PTO horse power.
Hey can you do a video on the ford 555 backhoe
+DeereFan110. Yeah I can do that someday it's actually a 575D turbo. Some of the last ones to come out before they went to the E series.
Is the engine in the 575 same as the 555 backhoe? and the 4600? Ron
+Ron and Lori Wood. Think the two backhoes have the same engine but the 575 is turbo charged. The tractor has a smaller 3 cylinder engine.
Ron

that's a nice size tractor for yard work put a blower on the front for winter and a blade on the back for summer I could play in my yard all year long ehhh
+leonard burns. Yeah it's a nice tractor for that kind of stuff.
I also like the plow very much. I'm Vietnamese and you. i will chat with you
Awesome
great video i thought ford was going to win the indy 500 there .
+Howard Younger. Lol not quite, but close! Thanks for the comment!
my wife bought a 8n at a yard sale.you want to talk slow,it is in great condition .she said her grandpa had one so she allway wanted one.
+Howard Younger. Sounds like you got a good woman!
I really like a Perkins
Then you must be a Massey man?
We got a ford four six the other day for basically nothing
+Ferguson 20 diesel. Awesome hope you like it.
DLH Farms very good tractors had about 5 or 6 of them and a few 4000's
It has a lambourn cab
I prefer the q cab
Or Duncan cab
I sold a tractor and took it as a trade in
+Ferguson 20 diesel. Sounds like an interesting machine
That would be around 1977.
+David Thomas. I wondered about what year it was. Thanks!
David Thomas definitely between 1976 - 1981.
I do like the Massey but I also like John deere
That's a real Ford tractor! Not none of that Fiat built stuff!
very nice a real Ford tractor, I really love Ford New Holland tractors before they sold out to cnh international...now they just foriegn made garbage unfortunately..same company makes case and a few others...the new ones are just not very good machines in my opinion...it's why I went with Kubota for my new hay tractor, keep my old 3000 though for raking and blading driveway
+Daniel Thomason. Fiat bought Ford tractor company in 1990, which is the same company that owns Dodge and Ram trucks. They still own it to this day at some point don't know the year they purchased Case, that's when the started CNH it just means Case New Holland, The T6 and T7 tractors are made in the same factory in England that the 7700 ford tractors were made in back in the 80s, the T8 and T9 tractors are made in Wisconsin right here in the USA. how much horse power
+Charles Fisher. I think these are 52 or so, can't remember exactly.
Didnt see it for how long....Didn't even up the dipstick.. some operator you are...
my 3 cylinder turbocharged Perkins sounds better lol
+farmall skittle. Only in your dreams! 👍
i will make sure to get a start up of that video
+farmall skittle. Ok sounds good, no pun intended. Lol
