giorgio appreciates leaving the last part of the notation free for improvisation. great job! Once you free your mind about a concept of 'harmony' and of music being 'correct' You can do whatever you want
Would you be interested in making a series where you teach "soft" improv or making your own riffs like how you did at the end ? Something more abstract and open ended while staying in the realm of songs you've already covered would be pretty cool. Personally, I've never retained enough of a riff to spin it out into noodling territory and would like to pick that up
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm definitely interested in stuff like that, yeah - the trick for me is finding the time to make those kinds of videos as these ones in themselves take just about as many hours per week as I can devote. Stuff like this is definitely on my mind though, and it helps to hear from you that people are looking for this!
@@BennyTheBassman I understand, you kinda have to oblige patrons first and foremost lol I've never explicitly searched how to improv or anything because a lot of videos don't seem to hit the nail enough to try them. And the usual (jazz) advice is to transcribe solos, which I've been too lazy to do in any capacity :/ But yeah, videos like that would be awesome. Just something to start people out and learn how to build the skill would suffice. Anyways, keep doing awesome work !
Do yourself a favour and put on some cans, sit back and listen to this album start to finish. It's a work of art and one of my fave albums of all time.
Very uplifting. You're walking around with a monster groove. Careful where you point that thing... Remember with great power comes great responsibility.
This is something I want to learn in the distant future! For now I really loved watching you play it not for note and then your impro! Awesome! Thank you 😊
I just realized that you're adding the chords to each measure. Is this a new addition? Thank you! That helps me a ton understand the changes and see how the bass line was written.
That last lick in the F to G part was siiiiick.
