That's one of the few things Hoyo keep consistent in their games. 5* are genuinely just optional if you're willing to build 4*!
I've been using tingyun even when characters like Bronya or recently Ruan Mei's up cuz of a trick i like to call "The Foxian Battery" where she's with Huohuo and I'd just ult spam with a certain hypercarry.
the fact that 4* are super useful are so good for someone like me who likes to roll for waifus/husbandos over meta

Well....genshin has been like this and much easier because the content itself, in hsr was kinda similar but little downgrade.
Its like tekken 7 to 8 there's some nerf in general.

This is actually an interesting video because I was a HSR player day one and got my sister into it about 3-4 months ago. She was a little disheartened that she didn’t have any of the 5 stars I had, but I told her, “trust me, build Pela, Lynx, Tingyun and Asta. They are practically 5 stars if you build them right.
I mean shoot, even I just discovered a Pela build that absolutely shreds and I was barely using her before.

Light Cone - Before the Tutorial Mission Starts R-5
Relics - 2 Pc Traversing Hackerspace, 2 Pc Guard of Wuthering Snow, Belobog’s Fortress of Preservation
Relic Stats - Effect Hit Rate body, Speed boots, Def orb, Energy Regen rope
Substats - Try to get as much effect hit rate and speed as you can on your artifact substats (energy recharge not bad either)
The crazy thing is I was running her on Hunter of Glacial Frost before because I have a C6 Pela, which amps up her damage quite a bit, but she is far better served as a battery for shredding defense. Even using her basic attacks, I’ve got enough ER where she’s doing her ult once every 2 turns, which is lethal for your actual DPS. If you’re gonna use her as a battery though, you’ll want to make her tanky because if you don’t, she’s one of the easiest characters in your party to die during a boss. That’s why I run a Defense Orb and Guard of Wuthering Snow. It can help her survive situations that she’d normally be annihilated in.

But yes, QQ is definitely a strong 4* DPS
her consistency leaves a lot to be desired
Yeah 100%, her value comes in MoC where you can restart if you get poor luck.
I mean Xuyei comes close as a sub DPS and having an easy way to scale her damage. Not to mention she can break regardless of weakness but you really need the boss to summon a lot of ads to justify using her over QQ and you really need her E2.
Also people be sleeping on Hook because she has the highest multiplier on a destruction character in the game, her + Asta =Pyro weak boss very dead.
I used Asta all the time until recently and still use her more than any other 4* except Lynx, who happens to be in almost every team for me.
Drip Gambling Girl is something I didn't know i'd ever see
Herta also good for both bug bosses. They too spam extra bugs to trigger her kuru kuru endlessly, and both ice weak.
99% of gamblers quit before they hit the qingquillion 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥
For shortage: just build all harmony characters you have + Lynx + Pela
Herta: maybe I am a harmony character….

@@atsushikusanagi4067 Yukong is a struggle to use outside of E6 unless you adjust her speed (maybe not to speedtune levels, but you still have to be aware of how fast she is relative to your DPSes). I recently obtained her E6 after doing the recent Penacony event, and man, it's such a huge QoL.
@@hiimapop7755 although definitely still a hurdle, I feel like it can be pretty easy to make Yukong work as long as you value speed substats the way you're already supposed to. Sustain units NEED speed, so they should be trying to outspeed Yukong already. Once you achieve that, Yukong works with almost any dps as long as that sustain unit is there regardless of eidolons
As one of those 3 people who mained Herta pre-pure fiction, I'd just like to add she's also really good in SU's Rememberance Path because of blessing like adding ice weakness and the one that makes all ice damage blast onto adjacent units. Remember all of Herta's non-basic attacks are AOE, so that second blessing gives her a lot of damage

As a herta enjoyer from launch, I am so thrilled that she is getting the love she deserves. Honestly my favorite run in sim is elation with herta, himeko and topaz, and the fact that two of them have been considered super bad for so long just makes it even more satisfying :p

Tbh, it’s kinda surprising that I’m still enjoying, and using QQ inside of HSR. currently, she is more well built, that she’s able to outdmg my Jinglu in pure single dmg, and my Tingyun is sometimes more viable then my E0 bronya.. crazy how strong they are for 4 stars.

With so many reruns of so many characters would love to see a video talking about which eidolons are busted so that players could pull for those eidolons. Like a tier list of eidolons or something. Haven't seen any HSR CC or theory crafter make a video like that but it would be a great video to watch and make decisions on which eidolons are actually busted and can be pulled, specially in case of e1 or should one go for light cone.

I'd make an account on mobile just to grab the free Dr ratio. Not entirely sure how long there is to claim him but I think maybe 30ish days. If you don't get the ps5 in that time losing out on Dr ratio would suck. You can basically make a fresh account play for 10 mins and claim him. You just gotta unlock the mail.

I use Asta with Kafka and Black Swan because I came back when Ruan Mei banner just ended, but honestly I dont think I'll ever remove her from that team.
Big same got a random Kafka right before her banner left then went hard for bs synergy and asta is just so good. Basically every other built harmony I've got is for like hyper carry etc type stuff lol

Also build Serval. Not only will she absolutely carry the early story, she is top tier in PF against lightning weak enemies. Funnily enough i still havent built asta or pela. My first two teams were dot and mono quantum + Tingyun, then I started building a follow up team so never really had room for them.

Well then,I started this game 8 days ago and I am already saving for Acheron.
Guess it's time to build my Herta and Himeko for Pure Fiction cuz I made it to lvl 51 Trailblazer and I am having troubles with it with just Black Swan and Little Gui and I am not feeling my Dr Ratio gonna do much for me anytime soon.
Asta is also the best for adventure tiles in Gold and Gears or Swarm Disaster. She kills trotters and destroys barrels with ease.
shes fantastic. Love how versitale she is. The speed giving multiple turns is great too
I get the feeling that watching Braxo is kinda like watching Maxor, but I can actually understand what's going on.

Herta has been a character I've wanted to build since the start of the game but it never seem worth it. But since I built her for Pure Fiction I've been using her for almost everything, even all the way up to MoC 12.

guinaifen can be used in a DoT team (kafka, black swan, etc), Dr. Ratio team as a debuffer, or as a general sub DPS against fire weak enemies

@spartantraveler7251 Dr ratio.. if your guinaifen is e1 with resolution lightcone, she can apply 4 debuffs for Dr. ratio to pop off. OR u can run pela (e4 with resolution lightcone can apply 3 debuffs), tingyun is a very important choice as well. it's okay if u don't have eidolons on pela or guinaifen as a new player.
Team examples:
Dr ratio, guinaifen, tingyun, sustain
Dr ratio, pela, tingyun, sustain
Dr ratio, pela, guinaifen, sustain
Dr ratio, guinaifen, asta, sustain
Dr ratio, pela, asta, sustain (last team i used in the current MoC)

I am using solosustain M7 (e6 though) and cleared MOC12 3-star with her. (I have Clara). I put so much e-res and ehr on her that her ult basically always freezes and she can resist Kafka Dominate on a regular basis. (Also her Utl is cute)

My E6 Pela with S5 Luka lightcone and dps build is super cracked
For new players both Asta and Tingyun are great and will last you long into endgame. So well worth the resources. 8/8 traces, lvl 71-75. Op supports.
