    I have both the Bravo and Elements tote from Alpaka and now I'm really thinking about getting this because it's a perfect hybrid between those 2. I love the Elements but it's too open, so I feel a bit unsafe leaving my stuff in there or spilling something and the Bravo is perhaps a bit overengineered and heavy for casual use, this one seems a perfect blend of both worlds. Is this tote heavy? I always have a tote for work, but as a complement to a backpack. to pack weirdly shaped things but totes are amazing for casual use, really easy access and versatility. I became a tote person but I will never stop using backpacks, I simply love any type of bag.

      Thanks for watching and sharing your experience. The metro tote isn't heavy at all when empty

      I love the elements tote! Use it for groceries and spare casual bag as I already got the metro tote for work.

      I actually recently purchased the bravo tote as well as the alpaca tech pouch. I myself am not a tote person at all, I usually use a sling or a backpack when I travel. The bravo tote fit my exact meeds. I do photo shoots from time to time, despite how heavy it can get with load. It is an extremely comfy bag. The metro tote looks really good too, it is a nice middle ground among their 3 tote bags

    Absolutely loved this Bo!! Yeah I personally feel like Id like the tote bag for about a week because it’s new. But then Id go right back to my backpack. Look like a great option for my wife!

    Don't see many guys in my town carrying a tote bag tbh.
    Women, they carry totes and have for years.
    My mum had a plain black handbag that looked like the one in this video way back in the 90s
    (eta- it was a Kate Spade brand and had little metal studs on the bottom.
    I can still hear the sound it made when she would put it on the kitchen worktop, that's where she kept it.
    She's long passed now.. a nice memory this video brought back 😁)
    I can't carry totes though, tote back packs I'm good with, but feel unbalanced carrying tote mode for too long.

      Thanks for watching and commenting. That's a nice memory.
      And I agree that tote style backpacks are ok because they aren't unbalanced whilst wearing

    I've been using bravo tote as my main work beg for few months already replacing the Bravo sling max v2

    I have a Moment Tech Tote and love it. It was perfect as a personal item on a flight just recently.
    I agree that it might be uncomfortable having the hand straps on your shoulder for a longer period of time. I use a cross shoulder strap for those occasions and even added a shoulder strap pad that’s designed for guitars to ease the load which makes it much more comfortable. This also allows you to have both hands free and swing the bag to your front to access whatever you need.

      Adding a guitar strap is an amazing idea. Thanks for watching and commenting

    You should try the Life Behind Bars Transition Tote. A very intuitive design as your able to carry it in various ways. It also has my favorite tote styling, vertical tote.

    You know as a person with a broken arm in a splint, a tote seems more handy than a backpack, seems easier to open with one hand

    Feels like we are just in travel storage circle: briefcase -> backpack -> fannypack -> messenger -> backpack -> sling -> tote -> briefcase?

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  6 месяцев назад

      Not sure what you are asking. Can you elaborate?

    • @jbenjeep
      @jbenjeep 6 месяцев назад

      @@Youknowthebo Not asking really, merely speculating if we are coming full circle in how we choose to carry our gear. The next step from a tote bag almost seems to go back to the messenger, and from there maybe the briefcase. I find it interesting how we have evolved in our choice over the past few decades.

    Man I can see the appeal, but considering the tote bag always has always been the women's EDC of choice, it's kinda funny to see men taking it and making it better

    What’s at the back of ur phone ?

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  6 месяцев назад +1

      It's a phone stand by clickr. It's ok, but on a fold it's not optimal. Looking for an alternative

    Too bad you didn't include the availability of the SLING in this video. Alpaka actually sells it for this and for their other bags. It would've helped with arm-availability and long-walk-carry issues.
    But i love the UNPLUG bit in the beginning. You're a real one for that, Bo. Cheers! 🇵🇭

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  6 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for watching. But what do you mean by "arm availability"?

    • @splashmoby
      @splashmoby 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@Youknowthebo I think the OP is referring to the cross body shoulder strap available as an upsell for the metro tote. If I'm not wrong the shoulder strap comes with the bravo tote at no extra cost. I personally got the additional shoulder strap for my metro tote and I use it like a messenger for work.

      @@Youknowthebo My bad.. I meant the availability of your arms like you mentioned, which truly is a disadvantage when using totes.

    I love that this video is about a totebag but has a hidden message with unplugging. I have set some rules. I only interact with Twitter/IG via web. I'm working on having a dedicated place in my home to keep my phone. I'm also considering converting to a desktop rather than a laptop.

    Having kids, I think about what my screen use tells them. I don't want them to see me looking at my phone more than them or think my phone is more important than they are. They have been given permission to ask me to put down my phone. Sometimes I can't because, e.g., I am working but they are a good reminder that I have more important things to spend my time on.

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  6 месяцев назад +1

      Really like this thought. I actually read that due to the fact kids not understanding the concept of looking at a phone, they can perceive "parents looking at their phone" as "parents ignoring them". So I think it is a good idea to reduce screen on time while kids are around
