I had been suggested this game by friends, but some of the "How to Play" videos seemed to be confusing. Seeing you play it, it helps me understand and it looks like a lot of fun. I'll definitely be looking for it

Another great video! I taught this to the group at Gryfalia's last night and I found it funny how many different ways there are to play and teach the game. When I first learned it and played with the guys at work, we used a hybrid of the basic and advanced rules which worked great for our situation (1 lap races over lunch). You can really customize your experience this way, choosing the rules that work best for your group and making the game as simple or as complex as you like.
I'm inspired to do a video of my own for this one!

Finally someone explains the cornering rule as I thought it was meant to be played. Stopping between corners is often overlooked, but if you watch any Formula 1, the tight corners are taken very slowly and then accelerated out of. I've tried in forums to ask for clarification but usually no one understands what I'm asking. Thank you, great video!

sharxboy Thanks. If you saw the annotations, you saw that we played (and had been playing it) completely wrong in not stopping before the corners, until another viewer had pointed it out.

+Dad vs Daughter I believe you got the rule right the first time and the annotations are mistaken. There is no requirement to stop between corners. The rule in question is on page 5 under the heading Overshooting. If you overshoot by missing one of your required stops, you take the normal wear points. You must also stay in the same lane in the straightaway following the corner. If you end up in another corner, this stop does not count for the corner you end in. For example, if you miss your stop in corner two you must maintain your lane in the straightaway that follows. If your overshoot takes you into corner three, your stop counts for corner two (since you never made a stop for that corner), not corner three. You must stop in corner three on your next roll or else take additional wear points when you overshoot.
      See, for example: boardgamegeek.com/thread/1379881/rules-corners

This was my interpretation of the rule as well. It only applies if you overshoot the corner into the next corner. Otherwise you have to stop in that very short straight section of track by the marina between the esses. And if you didn't that, then you'd have to stop 3 times in those 2 stop corners.

I commend you on camera placement. It's not easy to film board games based on my own experience

Dad should have pushed harder to try to catch up. What's the point of playing it safe while Daughter coasted to victory? On a side note. I watch a lot of board game play throughs and yours are done quite nicely. I can't believe they don't have more views!

Thanks for watching! Our channel has only been around since after Gen Con 2014, but we're growing at a pretty good rate and it's just a matter of people finding us.

You should really remove the annotations, you're doing it right in the video, entering the corner only doesn't count if you overshot.

Please just teach your kids to call one die a DIE and not DICE. Can't believe native English speakers still get this wrong and pass it on to their kids.
