Sounds great. Did you try just switching between presets while playing? Wondering how that delay is. I know it has scenes but sometimes you just gotta switch haha.
What i dont get is that the ampero ii stomp has the same hardware, amp models, drives, reverbs etc. but somehow this product is more hyped then the stomp while they sound t same… interesting
Hi Jon! In fact you can have various parameter settings in the different scenes. The scene 1 acts as a "master", it's only in this scene that you can add blocks, but if you edit a parameter in scenes 2 to 5, in scene 1 it will still be the original setting
Yep. I was going to say essentially the same thing. The workflow can be a little confusing at first if you're coming from other similar setups (like Helix with its snapshots), but is easy to work with once you get used to it. I often use two or three amps per preset and switch between them with scenes and it took me a minute before I realized the best workflow is to dial in all the amp settings in scene 1 and only make relatively small adjustments in the other scenes.
Amazing tip! I just got mine today as I am transitioning from an all analog pedal board to just have everything all in one pedal for simple use and versatility but I’ll still keep my pedal board and Fender tube amp since it’s a lot of fun going old school vintage
I was determined on spending big money on the Fractal FM3 or maybe FM9. Then the other day, I bought the little Ampero Mini - just to try how the Ampero universe works. Well I have decided to return it, and get the Ampero Stage II 😆 I’m impressed how easy it is to use. The sound, the whole layout, ease of use, and the editor. And the Editor that can I use on my phone or iPad with the Stage II, just sealed the deal. In same breath, It seems like the other respected brands has rested too much on their laurels. The Ampero series definitely looks much more user friendly and modern, including pricing. I just hope that Hotone now will keep backing up their product line with support, updates and firmware, instead of just launching new products. The origin of these modelers gives me a little doubt 🤞 Anyway I still believe the Fractal is the King of modelers, but I’m just a home studio guy, and I’ll guess the Ampero Stage II will be more than enough to satisfy my needs for countless hours.
I started playing as a teen in the 80s. We would have sold our grandmas to get access to something like this. I’m also a big fan of physical devices. Not just because I’m old lol, but I find sitting in front of the computer swapping plugins in and out and different VSTs can lead to a whole lot of wasted time endless BS. Sometimes it’s really good to just plug in, pick a patch or twist some knobs and get to it.

May sound silly but I switched from Helix to Ampero II Stomp and never looked back. IMHO it's much easier to get a great tone out of the Amperos. The Ampero II Stage looks interesting but the Stomp + extra Hotone footswitches for 20 bucks do all I need.
@@zaporoshti3392 Yes spring reverbs always use a lot of dsp. This was also the case with the Helix. Can you mix and match preamp models with a power amp model ? Like take a Soldano preamp section and put it through the power section of a Vox for example ?
Yes and no. You can pick the preamp of any of the amp models, but there is only 1 power amp "model". That power amp is customizable however (tube type, depth, presence, sag, etc.), so you can make it sound any way you like.
Hi there, this looks super promising. Good to see excellent products at cheaper prices. Could you please do a video on how you might integrate something like this into a rig with a tube amp with effects loop, where you utilise both the amp tone + multi effects from this unit, then cut the preamp of the tube amp out of the signal path, and use a moddled amp into the tube power amp section? Kind of best of both worlds set up.
I did this with an HX stomp and 5150iii 50w tube head and 212 cab. Also had a cpl boost/OD pedals on my pedalboard and had the best of all worlds! This seems to be the same as the Helix stuff so u can definitely do what you’re talking about.
For bedroom recording, what would you currently recommend? 90% metal rythm, most technical demanding stuff i do is blending 2 tracks each side eith different amps/cabs
Virtual capo/pitch shifter? Can it be better by updating the software and will they ever do that? Because now this effects still sucks in their flagship model..
Good video. It would be better to use the ir or speakersims that come with the unit or maybe use your is for comparison... We all know that 50 percent fron the tone come from the speaker

Which one do you think sounds better, the amp simulations. Having already the Hotone MP100 and the Mooer Preamp Live, is it worth to upgrade with one of those three? Thanks in advance. Regards.
IF it had a good poly pitch shifter, that can do what Digitech Drop does, I would buy it instantly. Unfortunately the aforementioned feature (pitch shifter) really sucks on Ampero. Shame. Helix is too big, HX Stomp is a bit too small and has DSP shortcomings.
Variation within a preset, where each block can be active or bypassed. Also, you can have different parameter settings from one scene to another - but not change the model.
