Ya'll are so fun and cute! Hearing you talk about resetting Shakespeare's plays in steam punk, modern day, or in space, makes me think about how universal his works really are. The very fact that we can easily reimagine his stories in so many different eras or settings, just shows how his characters and stories really encompass timeless human emotions and dilemmas. I finished reading all of Shakespeare's plays and sonnets a couple of years ago. It only took me about 20 years! haha! Like most authors/playwrights, he has some really good ones, some mediocre, and some seriously awful works. haha! My favorite play is Much Ado About Nothing, because I adore the banter between Beatrice and Benedict. Happy Reading! My Shakespeare Videos Playlist: ruclips.net/video/QX_qkfvC9Y8/видео.html
This is such a fun video! Thank you both! I read the requisite Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet in high school and it all went over my head. I'm just starting to re-discover Shakespeare now. The next play I want to read is As You Like It because the eldest daughter in The Penderwicks is named Rosalind, and I just put it together that Rosalind is a Shakespeare character. I have to admit that I love the Broadway Taming of the Shrew, Kiss Me Kate. So many classic, fun, singable songs.
I'm glad you're getting into Shakespeare. I grew up watching the 50's movie version of Kiss Me Kate. It's so much fun! I think my favourite song was Always True To You.
@@meghanthestorygirl4581 Is that with Howard Keel? I haven't seen that one yet, but I have a DVD of it. There's a version of Kiss me Kate from the BBC Proms on RUclips that I love to watch. Always True to You is a gem!
I am so glad to see you collaborating in spite of the distance!
Thanks! It ended up working well!
Thanks!!

Thanks! I love Much Ado!
Beatrice and Benedick are awesome! Two of my favourite Shakespeare characters. That's great that you've read all of Shakespeare's works!
You two work so well together and I absolutely loved this!!
Thanks!
Thanks, Mom!
The Reduced Shakespeare Company described Titus Andronicus as "Shakespeare went through a brief Quentin Tarantino phase".
That's so good! 😆
@@meghanthestorygirl4581 If you haven't seen The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Abridged, I would highly recommend it.
That is such a good description of it. Is that the play where they turn Titus Andronicus into a cooking show?
Sarah's Story Chronicle That’s the one!
@@freshparchment That show is completely insane in a good way.
I loved how you support each other. I read some Shakespeare in high school, but as non native speaker of English, I prefer to see his plays on stage.
Thanks! Shakespeare's plays are meant to be watched so that totally makes sense.
Thank-you!
That makes sense. Shakespeare's generally more fun on stage anyway. :)
I totally remember that Wayne and Shuster version of Julius Caesar! I loved Wayne and Shuster! I love their Brown Pumpernickel sketch too!
That one is hilarious! I think that's how I first heard about The Scarlet Pimpernell lol
@@meghanthestorygirl4581 Haha! Yeah, some of the Wayne and Shuster sketches were my introduction to books and plays too!
That's awesome!
Me too! The Brown Pumpernickel is hilarious! I also love the Shakespearean Baseball Game.
@@pamdawkins13 Haha! Yes!
How lovely to meet your sister! Hamlet is my fave, too 🥰
Your outro is so 👍👍👍❤
Thanks, so much Christy!
Thanks! Hamlet is amazing!

Ooh, I'll have to see the one on RUclips! Yes, the one I grew up with is with Howard Keel. I wonder how it'll compare to this other version!
@@meghanthestorygirl4581 Howard Keel is so fun! Love him in Calamity Jane and Seven Brides. LOL
@@elizabethbrink3761 Me too! Both those movies are so fun!
What a fun video! In the midst of our current situation, I am so thankful for options like Zoom!
Thanks! Me too that's for sure.
