What was in this routine that Black ops (and reign) didn't have? Even aside from the mistakes that weren't deducted, their stunting difficulty couldn't touch black ops. they literally did the same tick tock in pyramid than black ops but took an extra count of 8 to execute it when black ops did it in 2. Sorry for being bitter, (SOT were good, I'm not saying they weren't) but how..? Their tumbling or partner stunting did not strike me as any more difficult or better executed than black ops or reign. I don't get it
actually. They won because of their choreo and dance. It's what pushed their score above everyone else's. So they were on even playing ground for the most part but when the choreo/impression and dance score get's added SOT get's pushed above the others.
I don't believe black ops were robbed. I do however think reign was robbed. That basket should have been a deduction and I bet any money if a team won over royalty with the same mistake we would all hear about it for next century. ugh.
If anyone's ever read a usasf scoresheet there's obvious skills that need to be performed in a routine to score the maximum points especially coeds which a toss hands doesn't cut it those who are arguing about other teams placements there's skills that aren't performed in their routine resulting in lower overall scores, despite the basket this is a perfect routine and the basket not going off is as if there are only 6 baskets are going off, majority of the team is still throwing it which means royalty gets the max amount of points you don't get deducted for not having something in your routine.
@@RichiiKyl some of these replies show that sportsmanship is losing ground among the younger set. I hope that swings the other direction. (Oh, and also they may not have studied score sheets)
almost nearly all of them do not land clean after tumbling, not hating though its in the past who wins is who wins but reign seemed a lot cleaner and had a bigger wow factor
dani deslauriers i dont know what you mean when you say they werent clean. Hopefully you can see that they landed all tumbling therefor they one worlds. Its the judges decision not yours.
I saw a lot of faults, but I believe the degree of difficulty outweighed the errors. I don't judge cheer trials, but I am off to watch the MD Twisters ..... Dani, you have sparked my interest, but already on the side bar I see the MD Silver 2016 pic looks like their toppers are too tall and not coordinated as well as the TX team.
Okay, got half way through that MD effort - first off, one of the guys is walking around from front to back to give support as a base and he really is a distraction in his overall carriage - NO SPIRIT! MD is lacking spirit overall compared to TX, who rocked it from my view. Even though TX had errors, they NEVER looked like something was a task. They flowed through the performance.
Not hating on Spirit of Texas at all - But Maryland Twisters Reign should have taken the globe on this one. SOT had very obvious errors in their routine that they most likely did not get penalized for. #disheartening P.S. LOVE THE DANCE!!! ♥
It’s frustrating reading the comments of people all hating on this team. They won for a reason. The judges see things that we don’t and I don’t get why people bring up difficulty when we all know technique makes a team win. Throughout the routine SOT delivered tight stunts, transitions and tumbling technique that stood out over everyone else. Reign and black ops were flashier but not cleaner. Don’t take away from the hard earned win this team made.
Alex Cross Im sorry but that basket should’ve been a deduction it’s so unfair honestly don’t start with “they weren’t cleaner” sis I know this was a long time ago but still
@@sophiarodriguez9426 Yes, thanks Alex Cross. Sportsmanship is lacking in many of these comments. If anyone an actual competitor or fan of another exhibit ever publicly posted these sorts of whining criticisms about the Westminster Kennel Club winner held at Madison Sq Garden (yes, dog shows are a sport), they wouldn't get very far before called on their lack of sportsmanship by fanciers from all over the world; let alone post negative comments about the winners' on the winners' OWN You Tube vid! I heard they scored the highest/ very high for baskets. Did the judges blatantly miss that obvious omission or did they choose to disregard it?? I have nothing against SOT but I don't know why every other division was judged on the principle that you HAVE to hit to win. SOT didn't quite hit, and its not like their routine was a standout (medium coed is one of, if not the most stacked/evenly matched senior divisions)... I'm a bitter black ops fan and I just want to know why they won.
I used to root for them hard but after how they acted on twitter last year I was not one to pull for them at all. Really bummed this didn't go to reign.
A bunch of them (including coaches) last year were talking about how ECE didn't earn it and how they were some no name gym and how USASF gave them the title so that a smaller gym (like C5 is a small program) and that they didn't really earn their rings
@@JD-lt3wj for those who don’t know ECE stands for East Celebrity Elite , I thought I put the name bcoz some people aren’t used to cheer terminology so I thought I help you clear things up if that’s ok
idk what high school cheerleaders you've been watching bc if they look like a high school team then that schools coach should get in trouble for having them do illegal things
that center dancer is probably why they got first. she. was. feeling. it 😂❤😍
U are actually correct. their perfect 10 on dance and for overall put them above everyone else
Richii Kyl woahh
OMG that point dancer made this routine! so fierce!!!
Who cares about baskets with that point dancer. OMG that was life served to me on a silver platter.
im confused on how they didnt get a deduction for the missed basket...
omission on execution, not a deduction

cheer noodle sorry im late but i think they just won because of their cleanliness and how they executed everything

@@RichiiKyl This presentation by SOT flowed. The silver winners looked like they were "tasking" from my observation (not a judge for cheer).

amazing to say the least! Even with a bobble this team is so much fun to watch.
I love them

Reign had obvious errors too.
+Sedd They did not have any errors.. They did not get any deductions and they hit
Reign had a pretty noticeable bobble on the far right but didn't get a deduction
+Christian Alfsen Jr That was not really a bobble because she did keep her body position
ok but really I can't be the only one that though Cali Black Ops should have won
I promise I'm not hatin but....what??

I still watching this and ask myself why they won 🥇??
Marcos Candelario watch it again
Jayson Trotter I just screeched
SHRIEKING!
One word - SPIRIT
Royalty is so good but I still think blops shouldve taken the globe
black ops. black ops. black ops. this is a high school team.
the missed basket and the sloppiness of the last element in the stunt should of costed them the world championship. Reign should've won.
Such a good sport you are!
what?
They look like high school cheerleaders 😳 black ops was better than this one 💙

Tell that to the judges and Blop's always lacking routines. lol.
