The number of professionals using it should really be taken with a grain of salt, considering how long it took for the GPX to establish itself in the market
especially now when they had very little time for themselves with how busy their schedule had been for the past few months.
Logitech sponsors many of those teams. They typically have to use a Logitech mouse, and the G Pro has one of the most recent sensors and the safest shape.
I personally never liked the shape, and they use the worst Omron switches they dug out from a barrel in China.
@@chad_8313 I feel you on the G Pro switches... I went through 4 of them and all developed double click issues. I have never slapped the mouse, dropped it, nor do I click hard.
I now use a Zowie ZA12-b. It was $60-70 and has outlasted all of those 4 G Pro's combinedwhich is like over $400 valued, granted I got 2 of them through RMA. ZA12-B is a great mouse overall.

@hausgaming : Spot on review, until 2 days ago :) Logitech silently released 8k too! I have both mice, and though I prefer the Superlight 2 for all other things, I kept using the Viper v3 Pro for it's better performance. But Logitech now wins over Razor in performance too.
With a 7950x3d and RTX 4090 I suffered from microstutter (during really fast action) without realising it, that was until I tried the 8k Logitech. It's so buttery smooth now, insane, much more smooth then Razer 8k actually.
So the main take away for me is: The performance difference turns out to be more firmware/driver related then technical/sensor related.

What were the motion/click latency test results for the Viper v3 Pro?
Edit: Also, I recommend getting the white version of the Viper v3 Pro. Apparently, the coating is better on it.
Motion latency & click latency is top notch. Most mice these days are too good where the motion latency methodology is not accurate enough anymore, which is why I will not show motion latency results anymore. I will still be testing it of course and showing numbers for mice with clearly better or worse numbers than the average, but I will not be using the graph!
@@hausgaming Thanks for the reply. The reason why I asked is because I was curious to see if the Viper v3 Pro performs better than their previous iterations compared to the Viper v2 Pro/DAV3, even if it is minuscule nowadays.
Also, I feel like you doing your motion latency & click latency tests makes you stand out compared to other mouse reviewers. I don't buy mice because of these reasons, but I certainly watch your channel because of it. :)
I remember Rain used the Qpad 8k for like 4 years or something crazy before finally switching to the superlight.

@@lahih sora v2 and sora have very different shape lol also I own all g wolf non fingertip mouse and tried all gaming mouse in the world If you don't like the shape of the mouse that means your hands are too small for the mouse so I would recommend going for atk f1 ult
If Razer gives us the V3 Pro Mini they'll win the market. I would main it instead of my VMSE.
I disagree with the clicks, but it is preference like you say. I love the tactility and crispness of the gpx 2 clicks, top tier imo.
I much prefer the GPX back hump over the Viper V3 Pro. With that said, the white version 100% has a better, more grippy coating than the black version.
How noticeable is the shape difference between the two? And how does it feel different to you with your grip style?
White coating definitely more sticky - idk how he doesn’t like the black though I have both coatings and both are amazing top tier - maybe too sticky for him?

Hello, does gpx sensor is really outdatet at the moment? I tried mouse with 3995 sensor(4k) and it feels a lot beter with tracking (like 500 hz vs 1000) compared go gpx. But gpx shape + clicks are best for me(playing for 5 years already). What to do if gpx 2 clicks are not playable (too heavy) and other mice are according to reveiews are not close to gpx ?
theres tons of pro cs and valorant and more games that still use the og superlight and even wired mice from zowie as well with even older sensors. i have a ton of mice (didnt want to upgrade my superlight unless my first one broke) and i still pick up the gpx instead of the viper v3 pro and sora v2 etc because its a good solid mouse that i enjoy. i dont really feel my performance changes at all. Idk if this is helpful but thats my view and alot of others view as well.
in terms of shape i can say that the superlight is the king. it fits actually every single grip type and except of the weight it is generally perfect. in terms of internals like switches, sensor, stock skates etc the viper v3 is the king. they should just make a collab and create a viper g pro v4 superlight xddddddddddd
I just copped the viper v3 pro (i have a g pro and hate the shape) and i gotta say even though I love the np-01s shape more i'm already feeling a bit more precise with the viper v3 pro somehow; honestly always felt like the np-01s was slow somehow in terms of latency and i can't explain why or how
is it good for claw i have the viper v2 pro but i can't seem to get used to it since has no hump and my aim feels off should i go for the v3 ?

if you dont mind that you can feel the sides are rounded then maya and for me i cannot get used to it at all

I got it about two weeks ago and agree with every point you made. Coating is not the best and I feel like the mouse could be just a little bit smaller overall. Also with how I position my hand on the mouse, my ring finger does not get the same kind of stability I get on the GPX due to the side flaring out. Off topic, my man what res/aspect ratio are you using on CS2?

I have the GPX2 but notice some serve arm problems so I have switched to the Xlite V3 large and love it

@@Geno106 I don’t have the V3 Pro, I do want it at some point if the price is right. I bought the GPX2 and tbh, I do not like it in the slightest. Shape is uncomfortable and the mouse feels too small and there’s small movement glitches with the mouse that’s been getting more and more noticeable. I had a Glorious Model D and that felt better in my hands than the GPX.

I have both Superlight and Viper V3 Pro and I prefer V3 Pro in gaming with the agressive claw grip / casual browsing with the relaxed claw.
I own 20 mice and have owned well over 40 the past few years. I've never bought the same mouse twice besides the V3 Pro. It's that good

Does 8K work fine for you on these razer mice? I have found on the VMSE pro, Viper V2 Pro, Dav V3 Pro and now the Viper V3 Pro (all with different dongles apart from v2 and DAV), they work fine below 8K polling but at 8K polling I need to move the mouse more to turn the same amount - lose about 90 degrees of movement that make them feel slightly more sluggish at same DPI. No frame dips or anything so not sure why this is? Is this common on 8k and any thoughts on why it could be happening? Assuming this doesnt happen with the OP18K?
It's fairly common at 8K, you are likely experiencing dropped USB packets, which is far more likely at 8K than 1K-4K. Causes could be interference or your system not handling 8K that well. Whatever the case, I would not necessarily recommend even using 8K wireless even if it worked perfectly.
8k is a marketing gimmick. Just use 1k to 4k and avoid the BS.

If you bash on Pulsar coating you have to dislike the majority of the mice recently released. Are you sure you have the 'recent' Pulsar products? or are you just hatin them for their namesake.(This is completely understandable btw. I have had issues with them myself)

My Logitech mouse wheel just broke. Only reason I am looking at other brands to replace it is GHUB. Everytime, and I do mean everytime GHUB has an update it reverts all profiles to stock profile. I'm ok with it, but my son is almost in tears when he cant find his proper sensitivity for CS2

LoL , Chinese mice are now on top , vxe r1 pro , zaopin z1 pro , zaopin z2 ,Helios 2 pro . First 3 below 50 euros and the vxe and z1 pro are below 50 grams
I must be the luckiest person alive to never have issues with the razer software lol. Always confuses me when people say this I find it easy and simple.

I had the exact same thought trying the VP3 and GPX2. I dislike mice that force you into one grip.. imo because it has a much better ring finger ledge, GPX allows more grips.

I have the same feeling with viper v3x since I try that mouse yeas ago, therefore I have no interest on viper v3 pro at all. Even ULX tiger has better shape than the v3p.And gpx’s shape still at another level(It maybe not the most comfortable mouse, but It was just a perfect shape that wouldn’t let your hand feel ache in longer time. Same as EC2)
unfortunately for me i like both shapes theyre both super solid feeling but the vv3 is truly on egg/vaxee/zowie level sturdiness
the first channel said the spl better than v3 pro… v3 pro is so much better i have small hand but have no issues with that (16.8cmx8.7) white version
if i had a choice for professional gaming id choose the razer viper - for gaming the most important aspect is the lightness and performance -- then the usefulness - i've used for years the Roccat mouses with the side bottom thumb button for the usefulness even though it wasnt as light as its competitors - but beats the rest at least in build quality since it lasted me 6 years of high intensity use - but it's cable couldnt survive the teeth from my dog .. or it would have lasted more probably. the current version from roccat that still uses the thumb button is the roccat kone xp - the new version that is lighter is the roccat kone xp air.. and i´ve noticed a lot the diference between both - was gifted the kone xp .. and i had bought the xp air.. well at least can compare them. PS : the kone xp air can use cable or conection by bluetooth so its dog proof (extra star in my book) been using it with cable because i hate to lose power midgame.. anyways 99 grams is still a little too heavy for professional gaming but its my favourite anyways.
But if you want a mouse with more buttons , use the razor naga v2 pro which has a lot of versatility for side button choices (but since im too used to gaming using the thumb bottom button its now a critical issue for me while choosing a mouse)

This is more so in general indeed! Outset is still one of my absolute favorites, but I would not call it the "ultimate gaming mouse for esports" or anything like that!

i had logitech light pro i gave it for free, it did not work for me as old death adder v2 or explorer 3.0.. Deathadder v3 pro works for my hand.

i love viper v3 pro sm. the clicks, the quality the sensor etc and its new shape. aim so well with it, but for some reason for IN-GAME for like cs or valorant i dont know what it is but i feel easier to move mouse around for movement etc and more stable because of the hump on the forward of the mouse somehow still feels better and more comfortable and controlled.
in theory v3 pro is better. i dont see a lot switching off gpx2 who were already on it in pro play.
after also seeing most recent valorant masters shangha and following their mice, the pros who were already on gpx have not moved away from it, but some pros who were already using viper v2 pro all switched to v3, and some other pros who were using different mice brands (not logitech) have been seen to use it, not many yet.
the only pro who had gpx and switched to v3 pro was sentinels zekken, however that was a sponsored move.

VAXEE mice are more niche, I would not recommend the XE-S to as many people as I would the GPX for example.

My hand size is 18x10,5. The Viper V3 felt to long in hand and I wasn’t able to get access with my thumb into the area where it have to sit without rotating the mouse. The coating in my Optionen is one of the worst I tried.

To be honest, for me, I just don’t like wireless mice. The appeal of it being without a wire is nice, but the battery life and the need of having to charge it is annoying to me.

I got tired of wireless mice, and got the EGG OP1 8K and it's amazing, yeah it has a cable but it's a really good one, I can run 8K polling without draining the battery in few hours. I have bought the gxp2 and the finalmouse ULX Tiger but the OP1 8K is the winner for me.

Viper V3 pro has a wireless issue where anything less than 8k poll rate won't detect micro adjustments. Other than that viper v3 is GOATEd

@greippuli9166 if you slightly move your mouse with less than 8k polling sometimes the mouse won't move. This issue has been documented by several people and I think it can br fixed with a hot fix.

I was using Xlite V3 Es but I wanted to try Gpx2 so I got one. What to say, I was a bit dissapointed. Besides crisp clicks, V3 Es was miles better for me. Shape and coating on Es version is something else, after using shape of V3, Gpx2 was just meh.. And plus you can change whatever you want in a second, without using any program.
Why should I care what the pros use, when they're Sponsored by companies like Logitech?
What else will they use, the G502X, which weighs a metric f-ton? Shroud's mouse? That's started to get dated and isn't the safest shape.
So no thanks on the G Pro, whatever. Awful bargain bin Omrons, and hyped because they force pros to use their products.
Sponsors do not force players to use their mice anymore. This has not been the case in years.
Viper V3 felt like holding a brick... I much prefer the potato feeling of GPX.

just remember people, the mouse is only about 5-10% of your overall performance, it will not make you a better gamer
depends on the game and what you had before. If someone came from some crappy 5 dollar mouse it probably can make them up to 30 percent better in most fps games
Completely disagree. A small lightweight mouse that conforms to your hand will absolutely allow you to aim better. That is just a fact.
