For your interests, HTC desire X is the best choice under 20k right now. Browsing is very effortless and smooth IMHO. 4 inch Super LCD screen with good viewing angles lets you watch HD movies easily. Although it does not support 720p video playback, you can download MX Player (runs all formats) and watch even BluRay prints. On the Gaming front, normal games will run smooth and u might experience stutter while playing HD, 3D games. I havent played those yet, so cant really comment on that.
Got my HTC Desire X just now. It is the best smartphone you can get in 17-20k range. I dont use video recording much, so 480p is ok for me. And yes, i don't need the front cam also. So, all in all, those who want a good value for money piece, I definitely recommend it. Build quality is top notch. Removing back cover may take some patience, :), but no probs as such. HTC sense is very awesome. Best thing is battery is 1650 mah, other companies have meagre 1320 or 1500. Anyways, thanks ranjit sir.
I'd rate it second to ace 2. I'm still impressed by the phone. Major letdowns are no 720p recording, lack of front cam, and adreno 203 gpu, even the desire v has adreno 205, what were u thinking htc? A very good phone for mid range, if u are no serious "videographer" and skype oriented. I heard that it handles hd gaming fine, but with heavy games, some lags here and there would probably occur. The optmisations look good. O yea, nice review :)
u can buy s advance, coz it can shoot 720p videos, internal storage is whooping 16 gb, it also has a 1ghz dual core arm cortex-A9 compared to A-5 and it has a faster wi-fi also. All the other specs are same, and yeah, s advance has a jelly bean upgrade also. :)
Hi I just bought this phone. I like everything about this phone. It's sleek, not too large or bulky and fits in my medium sized palm very well. The UI experience is awesome. But only 1 thing which is disturbing me with this phone. One is the battery life. Its very poor. I'm not sure if all smart phone does same, as this is my first smart phone I am unaware of the same. The battery lasts nearly 1 and a half day with one full charge, but the usage time (screen on time) is just 4.5 hours.

Agreed this cortex a5 based s4 play chipset might not support 720p hd recording but then again this phone costs 19 k.now at this price only 480p recording is a shame.either put a better chipset on it and then sell it for 19 k or lower the price. htc products r generally priced higher than the competition and this one is no exception.

Most games will run smoothly on HTC desire X owing to its 768 mb ram and dual core processor, its gpu can be a lil bit weak in playing HD, 3D or Gaphics Intensive games. Nonetheless, your regular games like temple run, subway surfers, real football, angry birds etc will run smoothly.
Well, neglecting those 2 features, this really seems a good phone. Also, can you please confirm whether the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 is getting launched in India sometime sooner? That would be a tough competitor to this phone, IMHO. Reply ASAP, please.
To answer your questions. Yes this has Flash preinstalled so you can play Flash videos. However should you upgrade to Jellybean you would lose Flash because Jellybean does not support Flash. This phone wont play Hd videos natively on its video player. However i think you an download third party apps from the app store which will. Hopefully Ranjit can confirm this.
Sola is a bit of a disappoinment, IMHO. Specs are good, but only 1320 Mah battery, that too non replaceable!!!! No front camera on sola, too.If 720p video recording is not your main requirement, go for desire x, straightaway.5 MP cam has Imagesense chip which HTC uses on One X. Desire X has Beats audio, lot of inbuilt apps, killer looks, is slim yet sturdy and feels good to hold. Also, you get 8 gb card free. Price difference is negligible. I recommend Desire X. I also own it and I love it.
For camera, you should get the Galaxy S Advance becouse it's HD. For nice music quality you should get the Desire X becouse it has beats audio. For gaming it doesn't really matter because they both have a dual core proccessor

This would have been a great mid range Android for me but they killed it with no 720p video recording. That just doesn't make sense. Everything is at least 720p now. That's the basic standard. HTC could have had a winner on their hands if they paid more attention with this handset. A front facing cam and 720p and a slightly better removable back and this would have been great.
I totally agree with, but this one looks good and since i personally don't record videos much, i would get this over other mid range phones because of excellent build, sound quality and jellybean update. The stock ui looks more user friendly and its good for general use. But still no 720p is a real disappointment, but can it play hd videos on youtube? and what about flash?
hi, If u r a gaming lover go for Galaxy Core. It has 1GB of Ram. So u can Play high end games without lag.. Lg I7 II is old phone compared to core and desire x....

Go for HTC desire X straightaway. One V is not getting JellyBean, officially confirmed by htc. Also, there's not much price diff. U can get desire x for 18k and one v for 16.5k. I would say choose dual core. Choose Desire X.
