I absolutely love that this show and ben ten are connected, and generator rex exists in another universe. It gives the cartoon network heroes a marvel or dc like extended universe.

It was a really great show honestly. And the idea of The Secret Saturdays and Ben 10 doing a crossover was awesome. However, Ben 10 Omniverse was absolutely bizarre. The fact that the show completely changed the art style from the original just completely out of nowhere and without reason really pissed me off. And now we have the reboot Ben 10 show. Can't help but want to blame Teen Titans go for it all. But oh well. At least we had the Ben 10 Generator Rex crossover. Hands down one of the greatest crossovers in cartoon history with Jimmy Timmy Power Hour, Grim Adventures of kids Next Door and all those Lilo & Stitch episodes with Kim Possible, proud family, American Dragon and recess.

Gahd damn I have some catching up to do! I did NOT watch TV as a child apparently because I LOVED those IP's, but the only crossover I knew that you mentioned was the Ben 10 x Generator Rex. Though I never did have cable long enough to ever get attached to Disney to be honest. I was a nickelodeon x cartoon network kinda kid.
Looking back I genuinely prefer the art style and animation of Omniverse over the UAF era and then it's a toss up vs the OG era. The UAF era tried WAY too hard to make everything dark and mature. What we're often left with is reused dark backgrounds that don't have a ton of variety. In comparison Omniverse feels like the OG series expanded into a vibrant and breathing universe. The animation in the UAF era also felt really lazy at times. I wonder how much budget they were going on for the continuation originally? The action scenes got SO bad in the UA area especially and so did the transformations (we literally got ultimate transformations once every blue moon and only a handful were good). In comparison they really went all out making Omniverse look fluid and it's animation is some of the best of a cartoon period in its peak moments.
That said, the Omniverse style wasn't adapted well for the secret Saturdays. Part of the problem being that they were never in ANY Ben 10 style. It was very similar for Ben in Generator Rex animation. It just was... off. It also seemed like the animators and artists weren't used to the character. Like the Omnitrix literally just disappeared a third of the time Ben transformed in the heroes united 😂.
This was the first cartoon that I saw featuring an interracial family on Cartoon Network!
