Luckily for me I can type blind so I know exactly where each letter is so I can just quickly glance over all letters in a word to "type" it :D
Would games need to be coded for foveated rendering or will it work on any gane as just another rendering option? I think thats a huge future requirement to help vr run on lower powered devices. Thanks for the awesome videos.
hey Haxor, games can use the fov rendering in different ways, so for now it's up to the devs, in the future tho steam for example could create a layer on top and implemented directly in steamVR, and pico could do the same with their streaming app, but they didn't disclose anything for now
I used to think like you, but I realized that if everyone sat on the sidelines, waiting for the optimal VR implementation, we would never get there because VR would never get off the ground. People need to buy the first generation stuff or businesses will never build the second gen stuff. Seriously.
How does Virtual Desktop via the Streaming Assistant look on this device? You should be able to run it like any other SteamVR app AFAIU. I would like to work on my PC from this device. Seeing my Windows desktop floating in front of me.
Nah ! I'll be skipping this , even though it is a bit more powerful than Quest , it's still running an older snapdragon that's nearly two generations behind . Once you buy this in like 3 or 4 months later a new headset will be announced that's like twice as powerful .
its so depressing every time i hear fov under 110º. I'm keeping fingers crossed that pimax 8kx will be good. I read it will have index audio so that'll likely be my next hmd
@@default2826 I'm interested in the wide fov pimax uses tho, I watch a lot of 3d movies and the bump in fov means the rendered screen can be made larger without having to move your head or eyes to see the entire screen. the small increase going from vive pro to index made experience much better
Oculus is on my black list . My support on the oculus go what just 2 years old is stop . So no oculus quest and rifs can go to hell . How long do you think the quest will have ? 2 years ? Sorry than info for HTC of valve vr set . Cost more and I know that it still will work after 2 years . I hate trow a way junk how people live today .
Quest is great but let down by the screen door effect. That means it can't match the Samsung odyssey+ in pcvr games while streaming, let alone the hp reverb. For me, I'm selling my quest (which I just got) and keeping the odyssey+ (for dark games) and definitely the reverb. I had hoped the quest would replace the odyssey+ as my backup headset, but alas it's not good enough
Dissapointed in the fov. Im not sure eyetracking is necessary in a mobile headset. Would prefer the processing power and space in the headset to be used for larger fov and it creates problems with foveated rendering (sort of kinda - just takes more processing to move around the sweet spot) Cool vid idea is have a list of features with hypothetical associated cost and space in headset and make a dream headset or hedsets depending on targeted audience.
The price is an absolute no-go for me especially with no game support currently. And if you were to spend $900 for the eye tracking version, why not spend $100 more for the Valve Index? At least the Index has support for games.
Great review. I hope they can get a lot of these out to educational places in order to take advantage of the Engage platform more as they dont need to worry about any controller tracking latency then.

I'm still waiting for the 8k 120 fps and 140 fov standalone headset.
I used to think like you, but I realized that if everyone sat on the sidelines, waiting for the optimal VR implementation, we would never get there because VR would never get off the ground. People need to buy the first generation stuff or businesses will never build the second gen stuff. Seriously.
Same here, but we need to give incentive to companies to invest in dedicated cpu/ gpu for future VR.
How does Virtual Desktop via the Streaming Assistant look on this device? You should be able to run it like any other SteamVR app AFAIU. I would like to work on my PC from this device. Seeing my Windows desktop floating in front of me.
PSVR 2 will likely have eye tracking too!
crossed fingers!
so will the next wave of pcvr :sunglasses:
Whoa! Eye tracking, now that is impressive! What about for those with glasses?
They should make glasses lens for the headset
It just needs a Sidepico app and the community
☝️😂
Is it possible join Zed Mini to this headset in order to create MR contents?
Another Great Review
Can you increase the refresh rate or not?
I heard those controllers have rechargeable battery and you not needed to use batteries like Oculus Quest.
You not mentioned that in your video.
He was talking about the y-charging cable for the controllers, so it was kinda obvious from there
Being able to play VRChat is a necessity for me...
How is the image for reading text compared to the HP Reverb g2?
whats the price?
This isnt fnf neo week 3
I thank you very much if you helped me

Do we have a price point on this yet?
People who bought Quest 1: Damn Pico Neo 2 is way better
People who bought Pico Neo 2: Damn this is a waste of money compared to the Quest 2
Nah ! I'll be skipping this , even though it is a bit more powerful than Quest , it's still running an older snapdragon that's nearly two generations behind . Once you buy this in like 3 or 4 months later a new headset will be announced that's like twice as powerful .
Spot on dude
When we can see a commercial version of this vr? Ciao!
its so depressing every time i hear fov under 110º.
Can you make through lenses video, maybe in comparison with quest, please? 4K means the same resolution as quest? thx
The quest is gonna have to face alot of competition
I hope it does. I think the Quest is what the future of VR should look like.
can u plug ur cable and can play with it like a pc headset without the thing dying :D?
i'm really curious about oculus quest 2 ...it should have no screen door effect , it should have a 150 fov , eye tracking & everything at $399
That being said thanks for being honest
I do infact think that the oculus quest is an unbeatable all in one vr headset :)
Maytham Alasadi Not the current version. It is too uncomfortable and under powered!
Nothing is unbeatable. The quest is however the superior vr headset right now.
Goat Not for me! Give me the Index! The current quest just isn’t good enough.
Why don't they have a consumer version?
Through-the-lens please!
Quest real hardware price would probably have been 700$ on release if it wasn't backed by facebook. Neo price is reasonable
for all the tech inside, very reasonable!
All though the tracking is a bit slow. I really think this magnetic tracking could be something big in the future.
I imagine cheap full body tracking
Dissapointed in the fov. Im not sure eyetracking is necessary in a mobile headset. Would prefer the processing power and space in the headset to be used for larger fov and it creates problems with foveated rendering (sort of kinda - just takes more processing to move around the sweet spot)
Cool vid idea is have a list of features with hypothetical associated cost and space in headset and make a dream headset or hedsets depending on targeted audience.
I was thinking about making a video like that from a while, but I need to learn how to make a 3d model first :)
This headset looks more like the Go's rich cousin
The price is an absolute no-go for me especially with no game support currently. And if you were to spend $900 for the eye tracking version, why not spend $100 more for the Valve Index? At least the Index has support for games.
Great review. I hope they can get a lot of these out to educational places in order to take advantage of the Engage platform more as they dont need to worry about any controller tracking latency then.
eating potato chip at 2:48 in the mic
Play neosVR with this headset
such a weird comment and way off topic, but the only headset with a actually satisfying unboxing was the index.
That was an Experience!
Foveated Rendering YES my dream
What about the Vive Wave platform?
it's not here yet, but Vive said that it will support every snapdragon HMD, so, maybe soon? I'll let you know!
Can you play popular games like vrchat and beatsaber without steam vr I dont have a pc and this headset looks like an absolute god but if it needs a pc to be used to play games that's kinda sad
How long does the charge last and how long to recharge?
charge around 2 and half hours with the performance profile, I always charged in the night, so I can't tell you yet precisely how long it takes, I'll let you know!
I still prefer the quest, is cheaper, way more content, anyone can get it at a pretty accessible price. The only thing I’d change the resolution and head strap.
I think(for now) 1:1 accurate tracking infront of the user is good enough
I have PSVR so I’m used to the wobble, I wouldn’t care about the non perfect tracking
what i dont get at all is the 4k resolution over a better framerate. 800 bucks for 75 hz is not good
How many dollars $??
Did you try some daydream apk?
This is way better than quest 2
Looking for pico neo2 eye offline update file. please.
U....can....chage.....the controllers... IM SOLD!!!
