ive got 2222hrs into undecember. started playing when it came out and was also 100% f2p until last jan. i agree with philbo, game has come along way. Frankly speaking this action rpg guy really shouldnt be talking about a game he clearly has so little experience playing. Im not a fan of the episode skip tickets, but the saving the rubies every week from the pet is so much more impactful. also, how is he gonna talk about the f2w aspects and skip over the 2 new loot "boxes", the rubies one straight up has a chance of giving t34 gear. drop rate is like 1/1000. if anything these were the most problematic things added
the problem with undecember is really what this video shown, people try the game check the store and run from it like crazy, dont try it, really try it to find that is an amazing game, full of good content, good item progression and amazing way to construct a build. But people jump blindly for Diablo 4, and then find the the game dont have content, itens are for babies, but then they already spend more than 100$ and they need to defend the money they spend. People really dont have personality this days. They just follow trends... Good video

Hi, Can you please do a video on the Auction house? on what to sell and buy for value and how to get those items. As a Casual Free to Play player, rubies are very hard to get by for me and even more hard to Spend money. Would really appreciate the help Thank you
@@zsh4n It's usually just higher leveld gear with desired stats, which is something you won't be getting as a lower level. There's also rune upgrades such as candors/vespers etc that can earn you rubies... Other than the things that are desired, there isn't much to sell.. You can sometimes sell lower level uniques for 10 rubies each but that's about it.. The auction house is a pain to work with if nothing that you put on there sells, so i wouldn't worry to much about it until later on.. I never made much rubies either, the best i ever had was selling a T33 unique for 2k rubies and probably some runestone for 1k rubies... Usually new uniques of the highest tier are worth something which you can get with pirate coins from the pirate vendor if you're lucky, since that's purely just RNG. Making rubies on the auction house is sadly easier said than done, and this is coming from someone with over 900 hours who played since it came to steam..
I played PoE for couple leagues and recently tried Undecember. Man I can't believe why anybody would want to play PoE again. The P2W argument is inflated. I played all the acts and most part of the end game without spending a dime until recently where I purchased stash tabs for convenience. Besides that there are things that this game is doing better than PoE. Enchanting/Crafting system with automating repeat cycles until certain condition is met, autoloot, drop system in the origin mode ( play ssf in PoE and compare :D), progression is complex but not convoluted. I am not overwhelmed with the number of mechanics in the game. Trading is not the only way to get good gear ;) and skip tickets are my favourites. The prices are questionable and in general things can be cheaper but when I will be playing my nth season I am going to buy them because for me end game is where the fun is and I am not interested in participating in "who's first to reach lvl 100 etc." and basically I earn more in the time that I will have to spend to get to the fun part so there is no question for me.
Undecember also have individual drops for when playing in a group, something POE doesnt have, ITS A MASSIVE ++++ , NOT having to keep track of who loots what when playing with friends is a really nice, should be standard in any game that isnt played solo.
People wants to pay real money to skip a huge chunk of the game??? Their loss, not only do they loose alot of money, but also the enjoyment of playing the game. I dont see how this is pay to win, its stupid, its sends the wrong message, but its not pay to win in my opinion.

The Skip Ticket is horrendous? I am curious what adjective he would use on Diablo Immortal. The Skip Ticket is not really there for everyone, it is not recommended for newbies. I'm thinking maybe Undecember should have a condition that you can only skip if there is atleast one level 76 character, or higher, on your account. I did not play the Undecember yet, mostly because of all those P2W complaints - I understand, that you can obtain everything in the game without spending a single dollar, but isn't this bad, that you can do such things in seasonal, somewhat competitive game? I get it why people are so upset, because from my perspective, as someone who did not play the game - it looks absolutely awful - it looks like you could pay to skip campaign in PoE and start mapping right away (which gives you incredible, economic advantage). Is there something I'm missing here?
yeah i'd say if you don't like any pay to win in a game steer clear of undecember. otherwise it's a really fun and enjoyable game. some people actually love the skip feature. so it's all a matter of opinion. thanks for your perspective :)
I think it would be P2W if you are a new player and want to get to end content right away. As a new player you would not have any rubies and if you are going to buy some might as well get the skip pack is what I guess they would do. As for my self I have not bought any skips and having fun playing the game. I have not done season play as to I'm kinda new to the game. I'm playing on the normal realm and almost lvl 76 after coming back to the game from a year off(I was lvl 56). I been back for 2+ weeks trying out different builds as I play thur the acts.

thanks Phil for this video! i dont know why he was going at the game where he only play for a few hours and already give the game a bad rep. the game is beautifully design! ive play since the beginning as well, This game mechanic is top tier. every little thing effect the way your character attacks and move, the skill and visual is amazing! they need to make money somehow the people that spends money is to support the dev and game company. That is why it is way more popular in ASIA.
Undecember never really has been actual 'p2w'.. It always has been "pay 2 progress"... There is no pvp and the pvp that the game had (Since it was removed) didn't even used stuff that you could pay for, so there really wasn't something to "win" at to begin with.. The skip tickets are also a bit of a moot point because it's pretty much pointless to buy those, it's doesn't even take that long to clear the entire campaign (few days at best) to begin with.. I always found it off that people complain over minor things in undecember while at the same time being completely fine with shelving out hundreds of dollars on similar stuff in games similar to undecember, games like path of exile or diablo for example..

Work the auction house at lv 1? for "new" player is Impossible, this is a p2w / p2advance feature cause you can't start making Rubies until mid/end game so pass lv 70 or so. Also 12h for all act clear? Bootleg did it in what 10h i think? He's a pro player so any " New & Casual player" your looking at 20~40+ hours to clear those acts. New season in game are meant to Draw "new" players in and they Fail it with the pay 2 skip and pay to advance faster, Run Hunter Pass and Zodiac Pass (p2w / p2advance MUCH faster item in it) Bootleg On the first 15 min in season 3 he goes p2w/p2advance faster live on his stream, spends 45$~65$ then goes " Look at that you get a 6 Link right off the bat "woooh" Look at that Legendary Skill / Link. " For thos who don't know Legendary Skill / Link are super rare to drop and having this at low Lv is a Masssive dmg boost witch mean what? You advance much much faster aka p2w/p2advance. 1:32:25 in his first stream he gamble for p2advance and spend 4000 Rubies (convert it to Diamonds for any New player and that is 90$) What amaze me is you guy compare it to massive p2w game but can't admit their p2w p2advance in this one like i just don't get it. You definitely don't understand "P2W". Just because you don't NEED to buy something, it doesn't mean it doesn't. Example, buying the cronos support boxes gives you stats that would take days if not weeks to farm/put together. All from one swipe of the card.. See where I'm going? Just because someone can invest 100 hours into an item for it to be "free".. it doesn't mean their TIME INVESTED was free. In other words, If someone is working 40 hours, they can swipe and bypass the F2P players and cut the grind tremendously

Honestly I have been enjoying this game for a while now. But since this last update and the cost for every qol improvement. And how they constantly reset even your standard characters zodiac and all points. Which is completely stupid. I’m done with this game. I’m not sinking any more time and def money for them to just reset everything. Not to mention the seasons are literally nothing. They add a paid nonsense battle pass which doesn’t even look good. This game is just another opportunity lost on horrible development decisions. And it’s def P2W. Thanks for the free pet. Lol

Let me just go ahead and say that the pitfall of the auction house is that 75% of everything in this game simply doesn't sell..

Yeah I'd like to see more end game as well. They did shorten acts 11 and 12 so that was nice.

Yeah I agree there is definitely pay2advance early on. It's not that impactful after a few days of grinding though

i already juiced maps to max when the game first came out (and was more difficult). btw - all builds can get to 150+ in this game.

I was playing undecemeber a lot with your builds, but I don’t know something just feels bad about it now. Probably because I’m playing Poe again.
The battlepass has been there since the game came out though and regarding zodiac points etc, those have always been reset upon a new episode..
