Also, the crazy contrast between her fluid motions but deadpan facial expressions appear to be amusing at first until you realize the artificial being can best you on probably crazy levels of athleticism and strength.. and judging by the blood splatter on one person, her hits come with some force..

Why can't they do a psychological piece examining how our dependence upon technology hurts us psychologically, emotionally, and socially? It could have a bitter-sweet ending where Katie realizes her attachment to Megan is unhealthy and chooses humans over her robot friend or an ending where Megan decides to shut down in order to free Katie from her dependence upon Megan and thus "protect Katie from harm."
This is far from the only approach to that theme. See the Black Mirror episode, "Be Right Back" and "Her" starring Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansson. And probably a lot more that don't come immediately to mind.

There's something about the inhumanly expressionless face on a human body moving in a way just a bit too smoothly to be believed as human. The fact that she's small and still has a robotic rigidity to her movements puts that much more uncanny on the uncanny valley. Like the characters are fighting a game robot that seamlessly downs your character and immediately hits an emote, all while playing like it's a legitimate human you're up against.
