Franky would have been the perfect replacement for Scott Weiland in VR. Slash blew it and went solo only because he had a record deal on his own. As most of the time, money did the talking. Results: his solo act was just filling small theaters and years later we got Fat Axl back on track. How lame!

Dave Kushner was dead weight. The hype was gone after two albums. Replacing the singer would not have solved anything. VR had other problems besides firing Scott. Rebooting VR was never a viable option.

What happened to Dave Kushner? I know Guitar Center is always hiring but nonetheless ...

I agree with you Matthew, Franky Perez would not have solved all the problems for VR. As always, timing is everything. Nonetheless, Franky does a great job recreating Weiland's performance. May I remember you that Stone Temple Pilots hired Jeff Gutt, a Weiland lookalike, and he's doing great so far. I saw STP recently, they do a great job playing the classics in packed arenas. Not half-bad!
