Scorpion also won because there is only one thing in Ryu's moves that could kill him: The Raging Demon. A move he specifically is not experienced in and in a state that Ryu actively avoids entering when he can. Plus, Scorpion can just take the battle into his world's hell and continously grow in strength with no defined limit.
From 14:02 on, Ryu’s fighting animation is just beautiful. The movements are so fluid and watching him perform his techniques in real time is just awesome.

@topdogtyrone802 SPOILERS FOR TEKKEN 8 honestly I can't tell, sure Ryu is older and had more experience than Jin but im pretty sure his martial arts is more a spiritual kind than it used to be while still being strong. Jin doesn't have devil Jin anymore but he has karate, the kazama style, and the Mishima style to mix and match with so it feels more like a battle of who would make a mistake first and with how Jin has grown in the story and how much Ryu has mastered himself it could take a bit but might just end with who could get that first hit
@@topdog88 - I still feel Ryu would still win. Even with ** Spoiler Alert ** Jin being in his Angelic form, Kage Ryu still has feats the same as Akuma while NOT being in Shin Akuma form, like destroying a Meteor the size of a city with his bare hands, Bigger than the meteor Jack destroyed. But still, its hard to tell. Tekken 8 gave Jin a powerup while Street Fighter 6, Ryu looks like he's not growing as much anymore as a student but just polishing what he already has. Dude is like in his mid-late 50s.
@@MagusFyreThe meteor was destroyed by Akuma in his Shin form, not in his Base. And it's from a non canon crossover game with Darkstalkers characters, who are even more overpowered. Within the Mainline Street Fighter games, the biggest feat he did was busting that island, destroying some mountains, and making a volcano erupt with a single punch as Oni.
A Street Fighter (not named Akuma) finally wins a Death Battle. Akuma is too oversold and overrated for my preferences, especially going up against Asura of all people.
Even though he honestly shouldn't have. Ryu has never actually beaten even Akuma in canon, well Jin is the strongest of the Mishima, he can beat his father Kazuya who can stalemate Shin Akuma.
Cowboy Casanova 187 yea ni dey don't seem biased to Street fighter characters.....only ones ni wit a w is akuma, Ryu, and (few might remember) zangief(also blanka but, cmon, he fought Pikachu
woah that battle was sick! but I just can't come to terms with the the reasoning behind Jin's defeat. the overall scaling with akuma makes perfect sense they just glossed over one important detail, Akuma is canon in tekken! he appears in tekken 7 as a integral part of the story. if the scaling really made sense it would still end up putting ryu an jin on much, much closer power levels. in a canon fight with with heihachi not only does he survive (heihachi ) a fist to fist confrontation but also survives a Shun Goku Satsu and is able to get back up to throw a punch in 10 secs and that is a "regular human" and jinn's grandpa no devil gene. Akuma also battles Jin"s father kazuya in witch he is near equal considering jin and kaz could be scaled equally in death battle this would put jin at a level where he to could best Akuma, or at least blow for blow. I'm not saying that with this alone jin should've won but to not even mention this after using akuma to scale seems like a total cop out. its just whak that they wouldn't mention this because canon akuma vs kazuya clips are used in the video. And the independence day laser wasn't just trying to kill kaz but also akuma. i get that they were grasping straws to find something to scale but ignoring this entirely purposeful whack af
Not only that but kazuyas devil laser he shot against the satilite moves close to, if not faster than the speed of light if you think how fast it traveled all the way from earth to where the satilite was in space. This same laser that not only jin possses himself but heihachi has dodged mutliple times. If taking this into consideration, it means that heihachi is faster than the speed of light because he can dodge the laser and its safe to assume jin is faster than heihachi which also makes jin alot faster than the speed of light. With this feat i think jin should win imo.
Tekken!Akuma is considered an entirely different one from the original SF Akuma. He has no feats that support using the original’s feats, and is pretty much different down to his literal character, meaning it cannot be used as a basis for scaling. It’s the same reason we didn’t have ShovelKnight scaling to Kratos or the BattleToads, or Ryu in Asura’s Wrath, or Sub-Zero and Raiden to DC characters or Spawn. Crossover characters do not automatically justify scaling them directly. Cause you know, they’re just crossovers And this is also why they included Haggar’s feat from Final Fight to Akuma in Akuma vs Shao Kahn, cause Akuma had an equivalent that supported it’s usage(notice how they only compared him to the explosion visible from orbit, and not Haggar drilling into and out of earth)
I've really thought that Jin would win... That or Ryu would win by using The Raging Demon... I was preety stocked to see compilation of Jin's past sins while Ryu would strike him again and again
Yes its true. however they did not mention kind true power. See he has the angel gene from his mother within him this can be seen from tekken 3 and in tekken 5 when he is captured by kazuya and heihachi.
Street Fighter characters are stronger as it is a series with stronger fictional power scaling. A regular chick like Cammy could freakin destroy a tank by just kicking the hell out of it. Tekken series is a bit more in a realistic side.
@@MobbinMic Ryu was great in smash 4 but got combo nerfs in ultimate also I wish Ryu’s down b could stop more than just one hit or a least a stop a multi-hit attack cause it’s not as useful as it can be and the inputs can do more damage
This battle was super unrealistic, because Ryu didn't spam Hadouken from a distance until it killed his opponent. HadoukenHadoukenHadoukenHadoukenHadouken Shinku Hadouken *K.O.*
I feel like it's rock, paper, scissor, because Jin could defeat Scorpion due that Jin can absorb evil energy which Scorpion have evil energy within him.
@the guy12341 You are not giving me enough concrete proofs to back your claims. And what of that scene where Chun Li passed through the hadouken? It simply means she's not evil, for MnK only nullifies evil. That's not proving anything. Also remember Akuma. He was not bothered by it at all. He still won easily.
@the guy12341 I also expected you to respond this way, talking about how Akuma had been stronger than before. I sure damn know it was NOT the first time Bison's body was destroyed that way. So there goes your Thanos pulverization PoN assumption. SFV Akuma does not have much feats to prove how powerful he really is. We can only scale him to his SFIII version, which chronologically took after SFV. In SFIII, he was able to split the Ayers' rock in half, destroy a ship and a submarine. Akuma used a specific special attack to split the Ayers rock. Splitting the gigantic rock in half isn't mountain level; not even close. It struggles to be Small City Level, comparing it to the Hiroshima bomb(15,000 tons). Complete pulverization of the rock is Small City Level+, fragmentation(in this case splitting the rock) is an edge below Small City and above Large Town. Therefore I can solidly conclude that SFIII Akuma is Large City Level+. SfV is a slight edge weaker to this. That island feat is feasible to be considered an outlier. Destroying it doesn't make it automatically Island Level. It struggles to be Large Mountain Level. In the installments later than Alpha, Akuma no longer showed up to be as strong or stronger than that. And BTW Ryu can't still scale to him, even with PoN, and SFV - SFIII proves it. I know some events in SFIII are going to be reconned, eventually. But until then, they are still reliable to use. Your PoN Thanos pulverization proves nothing but a poorly defended assumption.

Fans: How did Scorpion win again????
Ryu vs Scorpion came way before Akuma's other more OP feats. The only thing for Ryu at that time would be tanking the island disintegrating.
The movements are so fluid and watching him perform his techniques in real time is just awesome.

honestly I can't tell, sure Ryu is older and had more experience than Jin but im pretty sure his martial arts is more a spiritual kind than it used to be while still being strong.

Apparently these two met at Haven Academy?
woah that battle was sick! but I just can't come to terms with the the reasoning behind Jin's defeat. the overall scaling with akuma makes perfect sense they just glossed over one important detail, Akuma is canon in tekken! he appears in tekken 7 as a integral part of the story. if the scaling really made sense it would still end up putting ryu an jin on much, much closer power levels. in a canon fight with with heihachi not only does he survive (heihachi ) a fist to fist confrontation but also survives a Shun Goku Satsu and is able to get back up to throw a punch in 10 secs and that is a "regular human" and jinn's grandpa no devil gene.
Cause you know, they’re just crossovers
And this is also why they included Haggar’s feat from Final Fight to Akuma in Akuma vs Shao Kahn, cause Akuma had an equivalent that supported it’s usage(notice how they only compared him to the explosion visible from orbit, and not Haggar drilling into and out of earth)
Also, this video was made in 2016 while Tekken 7 is made in 2017
It's stated to be a different Akuma tho.

@the guy12341 So it's time for you to stop debating, if formulating headcanons are all what you're going to do.
