Ausangate circuit, day 1 (05.07.2024)

4 days of hiking (including transport Cusco-Cusco) around the majestic Ausangate mountain (6383 m), ft. a visit to the Rainbow Mountain on day 3.

If I was going to do just one trek in the high mountains of Peru, it would be this one (and I have done a bunch). Besides being absolutely stunning, it is significantly easier than the likes of Huayhuash and Alpamayo and I'd say its even easier than the Santa Cruz (tho a bit longer).
