Just installed this cold air intake on my 2020 Tundra today, and I didn't even glance at the instructions because of how detailed your videos are. Really appreciate the time and effort you put into these upgrade videos.
I just installed this intake on my 2020 Tundra last night and I literally never even looked at the supplied instructions. LOL. Once again, another incredible job demonstrating the installation process in detail. You weren’t kidding about those two stupid screws that attach the box to the truck, I almost lost my mind! Thanks again, Buddy!
Thanks man, I appreciate the feedback!…yea, those 2 screws sucked…lol…other than that it’s a pretty easy job!…glad the video helped ya out, thanks for watching!
Awesome man. I watched stillen’s videos about this as well. This is my first choice for air intake systems because no other brand offers that front ram air intake tube. My idea was pairing this intake system with a ram air hood from RK Sport. Ultimate air flow for the tundra!!!
Thanks man!...much appreciated!...yes sir, totally agree, that’s why I went with this kit over all the others...love the 2 inlets allowing more air flow and the proven results on dyno are impressive!
Man oh man...I installed a TRD CAI several months ago & was wondering how much air is pulled in passively from the wheel well while the Stillen has the air being “pushed” in from its placement behind the front grill. Please keep us updated on its performance & practicality. Keep up the AWESOME vids!!!
Thanks for watching, and for the feedback!!...yea that’s why I decided to go with this kit, it’s brand new out for this year (from my understanding)...and it’s been proven on dyno to add up to 20hp/20 lbs or torque...I’ll make a follow up video on it but so far I’m loving it!
Just installed this today! Bought my 2016 used and it already had the K&N setup on it which I disliked. My Stillen setup I had to cut 1.50” off the throttle body coupling as it was too long! Also noticed that there was as no nipple for the fender bushing built into the intake box where it goes into the fender!
Hey Jesse!…yea the Stillen is much better than the K&N in my opinion…I love that it has 2 “intake ports” for true cool air…my only regret is not putting truck on a dyno to have proof of results!
Platinum2020.. Just wanted to update all or any. I have a TRD accelerator on my intake, but to get this to work also with the stillen I have to cut some of the fender intake piece of the cai maybe 1/4 of an inch. I was able to then slip on the TRD accelerator and use a hose clamp to secure it to the fender stillen cai. Otherwise with out something on the fender tube of the cai it looks it would/could suck engine hot air back into the cai. I also had to trim abit of the throttle body coupling (3/8ths) perhaps because of the TRD accelerator in the fender does push out the box a littel bit, but now it is on all good to go.
I'm definitely getting this CAI! I love the dual intake feature, but need to make sure it'll fit the '21. I have a K&N CAI sitting in my garage that I'll be sending back. :-D Appreciate these recommendations. Good stuff!
@@NitroZ18Fishing What is the inside diameter of the silicone? When I buy this product, and I will, I'd like to use red silicone to go with the black and red color scheme of my Tundra.
Thanks man, I appreciate that!… Yeah I’m always doing something with my truck or boat, other than my wife and kids they are my passion… Thanks for watching!
I just installed it on my 2019 tundra and I can’t tell the difference. I got the OBD Fusion app and the intake temp is still the same as the stock except when I’m on the highway. The temp on Highway doesn’t fall below outside temp reading. I was hoping it would.
Where did you buy your color match grille and hood hump? I just bought this cold air intake going to go over your video once I get it during my install.
Hey Billy, my 2020 Platinum came color matched on the grille…but I know you can order color matched parts from any Toyota dealer, let me know if ya have any questions on the install!
So between this intake and your BA 10 exhaust is there a noticeable power increase pulling your boat? Looking at adding these both. Lift and 35 MT tires robbed a lot of performance
I really wish I put her on a Dyno before and after to have solid proof of the performance gains, but I definitely feel they’re worth it...I did notice a drop off after lift/35’s, but now she drives excellent and pulls boat with no issues at all...it’s like it’s not even back there... even on our family vacation with the truck bed loaded down with luggage, and pulling the boat… No issues whatsoever
The stock cold air intake housing is huge already. I find that using the aFe 31-10146 Air Filter would achieve similar results at an affordable price since all that really matters is the amount of air flowing through the filter. Does having the intake opening up front in the grill breathe in more dust when driving behind another vehicle?
That was actually one of my main concerns with this kit, really my only concern...no issues at all just yet, and it’s been on for months...I plan on replacing my filter this spring and I’ll do a follow up video showing how it looks and held up!...thanks for watching!
Dude! Love your vid man. Seen others and nowhere near as awesome. One other guy has his own shop or something and said this system had some redundant parts and he had to modify some of them because they didnt fit properly but then again he specializes on cars ,infinty and nissana , so go figure. Lol! Again thanks
No issues at all!...and I’ve driven through some serious downpours on the highway...they do make a “block off plate” for anyone concerned about that, but it’s not needed in my opinion...I’ve driven through just about any weather you can think of so far and no issues at all, hope that helps!
Have you had any issues at all with your cold air intake? I have been trying to do as much research as I can, but there isn’t a ton of feedback on this setup. From the small sample size I have come across, there seems to be reports of check engine lights coming on after installing this system.
No issues at all, I love it!...I’ve seen some say the same thing, and I sometimes wonder if it’s improper installation...not saying that’s the case every time, but I think that plays a role in some of the issues I’ve seen...hope that helps!
AWESOME VIDEO! I had seen this and was debating weather or not to get one, well you made up my mind for me.👍 My question is since your install how much of a difference have you noticed with the overall performance? And does the engine act like it enjoys the upgrade if ya know what mean? I’m a mechanic by trade 22 years Some upgrades seem like the engine don’t like it 🤔 I hope you understand this old gear head, again the video was awesome and thank you.🙏
Hey Robert!…I’m sorry, I’m just seeing your comment, I absolutely love this intake…in my opinion, it’s one of the only ones worth even adding due to the extra “intake port” in the front that helps deliver true “cold air” and max air flow…truck seems to pick up a little better, especially in mid range, I wish I put her on a dyno to have solid proof of gains…if I had to do it all over, I would add it to my next truck without hesitation…hope that helps, thanks for watching!
My Stillen lid on the box has been a nightmare. I had to pull teeth with Stillen to get it replaced. I still cannot locate a replacement Downey air filter it came with. Have you had warping problems with the top lid? The screws just spin, too.
I changed my 2020 tundra pro to the trd cai. I like the one you installed with the front air intake. Let us know if you get good or bad results with this system.
Absolutely!...yea that front air inlet is the key to this system, so far I’m loving it and can feel a difference but I’ll make a follow up video on it for sure!...thanks for watching!
Honestly, I’m not sure...lol...since adding intake/exhaust I like to really step on it and hear it growl, so if anything it’s my fault if MPG’s are worse...lol
Hey Cortney!…that was my stock grille on the Platinum trim, and I found a guy who made vinyl decals to go over the Toyota emblem but I’m not sure he make them anymore…I would check eBay or Etsy, I think more companies started making them as well, hope that helps!
I hope you see this, but why is there 4 different ones, the oiled ones and the oilless ones, but why is there two different price ones? And which did you go with?
Hey buddy!...yea the reason there’s 4 different kits is because you can buy the kit with or without a block off plate (this is an extra piece that you can put on to block any severe weather from entering system, I opted out because I don’t think it’s necessary)...and then the oiled vs dry filter...so option 1 is oiled filter with no plate, 2 is dry filter with no plate, option 3 is oiled filter with the plate, and option 4 would be the dry filter with the plate...hope that makes sense....I went with the oiled filter and no plate, love it!
You are not joking when you say it’s a major pain the but to get those screws seated properly in the bottom of the air box. I have a couple questions about your fitment, does the grommet on the fender side sit properly in the hole? Also how far does the front inlet tube stick past the new shroud? Mine seems to be off and was curious I’d yours is the same
Hey Lance!...yea no prob, I’ll be happy to help ya out...yes sir, the fender side fits perfect once I got those 2 screws tightened down, and the inlet on the shroud in front is just about flush with it...so the inlet sits just about perfect in the cut out of the shroud...I did have to wiggle it around a little to get it to set that well, but after a little TLC I got it just about perfect...Haha...hope that helps!
I was wondering if you can give us an update on this cold air intake. I have seen several guys going with the TRD, K&N and S&B Are you still pretty happy with your choice ?
Absolutely, I have no regrets at all!…actually, my only regret is not putting the truck on a dyno before and after install to confirm the gains, I wouldn’t even consider the other intakes to be honest…I love that the Stillen has the 2nd “intake” in the front for more air flow, and the enclosed box to keep the hot engine bay air out…I wouldn’t say anything bad about the others, but if I was building a new truck the Stillen is the only one I would install….hope it helps!
@@NitroZ18Fishing thank you so much for the response! Yes, it absolutely helps me with my decision. I think my main struggle was that I didn’t even know it existed until I saw it on your video. Their design does make a lot of sense for sure. Thanks again Omar,
Wow, never heard of this brand "Stillen" looks pretty good too. A lot more steps but more air flow coming from front and side. Where did you get it from and how. Much? Thanks for the video.
Yea they just introduced this system early this year, I almost went with a different brand but then I saw the videos of this system with proven results/gains on a dyno...def glad I took a chance on this, couldn’t be happier!...I got it from vividracing.com, they offer different versions but the one I purchased is the “oiled filter” option...paid $360ish, well worth it!...thanks for watching!
Here’s the direct link for the kit I purchased, hope it helps! www.vividracing.com/stillen-trupower-cold-air-intake-direct-flowoiled-filter-toyota-tundra-1420-p-152791716.html
@@NitroZ18Fishing i was wondering would there be any problems with rain getting inside because there's air flow chamber connected to the front of the grille? And let me know if air filter gets dirty faster? Thanks
yea I thought of that as well, so I did a ton of research on it...they offer a block off piece for that exact reason but they have tested the kit in severe weather and no issues at all...I actually opted out of the block off piece, after installing and having it on I honestly don't see any way rain would get up there because of the way it's built...the only thing I won't do anymore is spray my pressure washer directly at that inlet port, but even then I don't think it would reach the filter...hope that helps!
I have a 2020 limited and been thinking about cold air intake. Been watching your content why did you get the Stillen over the rest? If you don't mind me asking
Not at all!…went this route because of the 2 “intake ports”…I love that it has one in the front for true “cold air”…a lot of intakes are more gimmicky and more for sound but in my opinion this one has some actual functional advantages over the rest…hope that helps, and thanks for supporting the channel!
Nothing wrong with that one at all!… I decided to go with this kit after doing a ton of research, this one is brand new for this year… Just came out a few months back, and after seeing the proven results on dyno it was a no brainer for me... I like the fact that it has two different inlets allowing for increased airflow... hope that helps!
Fantastic video, thank you. Quick question for anyone reading this comment. Do you see any change in sound from under the good? Is it louder? Any negative effect on MPG?
Thanks Mike, I appreciate that!!...not sure about mpg, but the sound is def a little deeper...perfect paired with the Dirty Deeds exhaust!...thanks for watching!!
Just installed one on my 21 Tundra and was definitely not impressed with the craftsmanship of the unit and the modifications that I had to do, to finish the install.
Did the box also connect to fender area to suck air too? I don't think you mentioned that in the video. How is the air intake performing now that you have been running it awhile?
Hey Joe!...yes sir, you get the side “intake” as well, so you have 2 intake ports...and for performance, I love it....I really wish I put it on a dyno before and after to have solid proof of gains, but I feel like the truck picks up better especially in midrange
Brother thank you so much for this video!!!! I have seen a few people mention that this throws a check engine light on their 2020 and up! Have you had that issue? You ROCK!
Thanks man, much appreciated!...and yes sir, you can hear a slight whistle over the growl when accelerating, only happens for me when I’m speeding up...thanks for watching!
The whistle sound is known to come from the wire mesh screen built into the throttle body gasket. You can remove it and trim the mesh and the whistle will go away!
thank you!!...nah, I didn't disconnect battery for this one, only important thing to note is don't start vehicle while MAF sensor is disconnected...hope that helps!
thank you!...and I actually have a Dirty Deeds 10" system on my truck...I have a different video on my channel showing that install and some sound clips if you wanted to hear it, the sound is perfect!!
@@NitroZ18Fishing I'll take a look at that video for sure. Since I'm 5800ft above sea level, I'm hoping I will not need a throttle body spacer for my Stillen. My last Jeep required one with the k&n cai. Btw, I have a 2020 trd sport in voodoo blue. Your platinum is very nice, btw. Be well.
Hey Jaime!…I have to be honest about the MPG, I don’t pay much attention to that so I can’t give ya a good answer on that part…haha…but the power is slightly noticeable at mid range, truck just feels like it picks up better…it’s nothing mind blowing but I would buy it again in a heart beat!….hope that helps!
Thank you!...honestly it’s more of just a personal preference, I was on the fence about which one to go with but when I did some research I found some reviews that show the oiled option has a little better sound to it...some don’t like the oiled option just because it’s a little harder to keep clean/oiled properly, but I plan on just replacing mine when it’s time...hope that helps!
So, looking for options I found this video and must say it is one of the best ones out there with more than clear instructions. Now, just two questions. I also have a 2020 Tundra and am looking for your feedback after having the intake installed a few months now. How does it feel? MPG's? and overall will you definitely recommend it? and also, what's the exhaust, stock?. Thanks a lot and you have a very nice looking truck there...
Thank you, I appreciate that!!...I absolutely love it, truck feels like it picks up better, especially in mid range...I wish I put it on a dyno before and after to have solid proof of the gains, but I feel it’s worth it for sure...and the sound is awesome paired with my 10” Dirty Deeds exhaust...I have a video on that as well if you want to check it out...thanks for the kind words, and for watching!!
Hey Brandon!…this is my only regret, I wish I put the truck on a dyno before and after to have solid numbers and proof of gains…I will say I feel like the truck “picks up” better, especially in mid range, but I can’t say for sure how much of an increase because I don’t like to speculate…as far as mpg, I won’t lie, I don’t really pay much attention to that 🤣🤦♂️
I’ve never used the TRD accelerator (not too familiar with it) but this Stillen doesn’t seem to have that notch...the intake tube on fender side didn’t have any notch at all...hope that helps!
@@NitroZ18Fishing yes it helps, thanks. Is there something blocking the heat from under the hood from going into the large opening in the fender, to go the cold air intake?
yepper, the new box has a piece that slides into that opening in fender as well, so it almost sits like the factory box in a way...so there's actually 2 inlets on the new box...the one that goes into fender, and the one in front that goes out to grill
Yepper, no regrets at all!… I personally think this is one of the only intakes worth installing if you are going to do it… I haven’t had any issues with buildup of any kind due to the second intake in the front, it has worked perfectly!…hope that helps!
@@NitroZ18Fishing Thanks for your honesty. Not to many people around who will tell it like it is. I’m just looking for ways to make my 2020 SR5 TRD 4x4 more efficient as I don’t tow much. Truck came with TRD exhaust, so your video on the Stillen system gave me ideas for helping that 5.7 breathe better. Never saw your video about the Pedal Commander. There are a few systems out there like that giving all kinds claims as well as the customer claims. In the end, it’s all about you, the owner and how you drive. Thanks again for getting back to me.
Yea absolutely, happy to help!… I completely understand what you’re saying, I try to give my viewers unbiased and honest information at all costs!… I can say I have no regrets with adding the Stillen!…if you’re going to install a CAI, I think the Stillen is the way to go… I love the fact that it has that second intake port in the front for max airflow and true “cold air”…truck feels like it picks up a little better, especially in mid range…and it adds a little sound on top of exhaust as well…good luck with whatever ya choose, let me know if I can help!
I can’t speak from experience as far as dusty areas, but I’ve driven through blizzards, downpours, and similar weather with no issues at all, and Stillen claims they’ve tested the kit in desserts with no problems either!...it’s a solid kit for sure!
I haven’t measured it to be honest, but I can tell ya my garage door is 7’ and I only clear it by maybe 3-5 inches...hahaha...I can get an actual measurement for ya if ya need!
I haven't had mine on a dyno but there are a couple videos on the web showing the proven results on dyno from the kit...although it's not mind blowing, I will say I can feel a difference with the responsiveness of the truck, and it does seem to pick up a little quicker!...plus the sound is just mean...haha
NitroZ18 Fishing Nice! I have a Bam 8” system myself. I’m looking forward to a little more Highway pep in passing gear since mid rpms seems to be the sweet spot based on the dyno graphs.
Thanks Dave!...and no sir, I talked to my local dealership about it and was told that installing an aftermarket CAI will not void warranty unless they can prove that it caused a particular issue
I asked my dealer and I was told as long as it doesn't cause any issues that they can prove happened due to adding this intake, it will not void warranty...hope that helps!
Thanks man, I appreciate it!...there’s a ton of places that sell it, I would just google it and price compare...that’s what I did to find the best deal, watch for a sale from different companies...I can list the link from where I got mine if ya want...thanks for watching!
Hey John!...I definitely feel like the truck is more responsive, especially mid range...I really wish I put her on a dyno before and after install to have solid proof of the gains...there’s so much talk out there about how CAI’s are pointless, and while I agree most are just for show/sound, the Stillen with the intake behind grille allowing true “cold air”, and the make up of the kit allows for the best possible situation...Stillen has videos showing the gains, but I wish I did it myself to rule out any doubt!
Hey Josh!...I’ll be honest, I’m not sure if it would work or not so I don’t want to give you any wrong info...it does say only for 14-20 Tundras so if I had to guess it most likely wouldn’t work
I'm gonna disassemble mine and go through watching yours and ill buy that one if I feel its close even if I have to modify it a little bit to my needs. The newer tundras air box will mount up to the 07-13 spot. So i might give it a shot. Ill let ya know
I called Stillen and talked to them about this kit.. It sucks that they don't make any for the 2007 - 2011 Toyota Tundra 5.7L. They need a lot of request in order to custom make it. Also, they said that I would have to bring my truck to southern California to custom if they get enough request for it. I don't live in California anymore. That sucks.
Thank you, I appreciate that!!…here’s one link for it, but I would check around to see if anyone is running deals…I got mine on a sale so it wasn’t quite as expensive…hope it helps! shop.redline360.com/products/stillen-trupower-cold-air-intake-direct-flow-toyota-tundra-5-7l-14-20-oiled-or-dry-filter

My Stillen lid on the box has been a nightmare. I had to pull teeth with Stillen to get it replaced. I still cannot locate a replacement Downey air filter it came with. Have you had warping problems with the top lid? The screws just spin, too.
Hmm, that’s strange…I didn’t have any problems at all like that…the lids fit great and no issues with the screws, hope they got ya taken care of!
5 months since you posted so maybe youve had time to see. Any change in MPG. Gain or Lose MPG?
Honestly, I’m not sure...lol...since adding intake/exhaust I like to really step on it and hear it growl, so if anything it’s my fault if MPG’s are worse...lol
Where did you get that grill? Or at least the carbon fiber looking emblem?
Hey Cortney!…that was my stock grille on the Platinum trim, and I found a guy who made vinyl decals to go over the Toyota emblem but I’m not sure he make them anymore…I would check eBay or Etsy, I think more companies started making them as well, hope that helps!
How you liking it so far? I am thinking about to purchase same 2014-2020 TOYOTA TUNDRA TRUPOWER BY STILLEN COLD AIR INTAKE DRY FILTER -
No regrets at all man, love it!…I honestly think it’s one of the only Intakes that are worth installing, hope that helps!
I have seen several guys going with the TRD, K&N and S&B
Are you still pretty happy with your choice ?
Thanks again
Omar,
No prob, happy to help!…let me know how ya like it after ya install it!
@@NitroZ18Fishing thank you very much!
What made you go with this brand over others? Was thinking about getting the TRD one
This looks sweet! Definitely going to be picking up one.
Thanks man!… You won’t be disappointed, I’m loving mine!
NitroZ18 Fishing is there any difference after the Intake install power, mpg how about a quick review/update I wanna buy the same one for my 19 tundra
yea no prob, I can do an update for the channel!...I'll try to get it up asap!
I see a lot guys get the P0101 code with this intake. Did you have any issues etc especially the cold climate temps?
Hey Jesse!...none at all, worked perfectly with no codes...not sure why some get it and some don't, it's strange!
You ROCK!
Thanks Chris, I appreciate that!!...no issues at all for me, haven’t had any lights or error messages at all...hope that helps!
Your install video was a god send! Just puts mine in. The hardest part was definitely lining up those screws! Question does it have a whistle to it?
Thanks man, much appreciated!...and yes sir, you can hear a slight whistle over the growl when accelerating, only happens for me when I’m speeding up...thanks for watching!
The whistle sound is known to come from the wire mesh screen built into the throttle body gasket. You can remove it and trim the mesh and the whistle will go away!
Great video, thank you.
Question, I have one coming i ordered, did you disconnect your negative battery cable before the install? Just curious
thank you!!...nah, I didn't disconnect battery for this one, only important thing to note is don't start vehicle while MAF sensor is disconnected...hope that helps!
Do you have the standard factory single exhaust on your truck? Again, great video.
thank you!...and I actually have a Dirty Deeds 10" system on my truck...I have a different video on my channel showing that install and some sound clips if you wanted to hear it, the sound is perfect!!
Be well.
love that voodoo blue!...I was torn between that color and my MGM...thank you for the kind words, and stay safe!
Hey! Can you give me an update on it?
How’s the power feeling from stock?
Are MPGs better or the same?
Thanks In advance 👍🏻
Hey Jaime!…I have to be honest about the MPG, I don’t pay much attention to that so I can’t give ya a good answer on that part…haha…but the power is slightly noticeable at mid range, truck just feels like it picks up better…it’s nothing mind blowing but I would buy it again in a heart beat!….hope that helps!
Nice, just want to ask you about what is benefits running oil free or oil filter? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
😊how much. Great product
Are you still using this intake? I was thinking about buying one for my 2021.
Yes sir, no problems at all…one of the only intakes I would recommend…hope that helps!
Thanks a lot and you have a very nice looking truck there...
lol... nevermind... just found your other video in which you installed the exhaust. Do you still have the same?
Thank you, I appreciate that!!...I absolutely love it, truck feels like it picks up better, especially in mid range...I wish I put it on a dyno before and after to have solid proof of the gains, but I feel it’s worth it for sure...and the sound is awesome paired with my 10” Dirty Deeds exhaust...I have a video on that as well if you want to check it out...thanks for the kind words, and for watching!!
yepper!...love the combo of the Stillen and DD exhaust!
Would this work on my 2021 Sequoia? I wonder 🤔
Hmm, that I’m not sure of, I don’t know Sequoias anywhere near as well as Tundras...call Stillen and ask, they’ll let ya know for sure!
What kind of performance increases did you see? Hp? Torque? Mpg?
Hey Brandon!…this is my only regret, I wish I put the truck on a dyno before and after to have solid numbers and proof of gains…I will say I feel like the truck “picks up” better, especially in mid range, but I can’t say for sure how much of an increase because I don’t like to speculate…as far as mpg, I won’t lie, I don’t really pay much attention to that 🤣🤦♂️
Where are you buy stillen trupower stage 2 air intake for Tundra please?
Hey Scott!…I got mine from Stage 3 Motorsports but they sell em several places…I would Google it and see who is offering best price, hope that helps!
Thks. Very Much
No prob!
Is this cold air intake worth the money or should I just stick with my stock intake w/k&n filter
I have no regrets at all, I do think this is one of the only intakes worth installing if you’re going to do it!…hope that helps!
Hey I just picked one up as well, does it have a notch on the fender intake tube for the trd accelerator?
Did you end up still enjoying this intake? Did you see any build of water/dust/etc from the new intake duct?
Yepper, no regrets at all!… I personally think this is one of the only intakes worth installing if you are going to do it… I haven’t had any issues with buildup of any kind due to the second intake in the front, it has worked perfectly!…hope that helps!
Is there any concern at all about water from rain making its way into the engine?
I’ve driven through absolute downpours and never had an issues…hope that helps!
Great process video man
Thank you!!...I appreciate that, thanks for watching!
Aside from extra torque and HP, as the company states, is there any change in MPG, good/bad??
Great video btw!!
Thank you sir!…I gotta be honest, I don’t pay much attention to mpg 🤣…it sucks in the Tundra anyway so I don’t even keep track
@@NitroZ18Fishing Thanks for your honesty.
Not to many people around who will tell it like
it is. I’m just looking for ways to make my 2020
SR5 TRD 4x4 more efficient as I don’t tow much.
Truck came with TRD exhaust, so your video on
the Stillen system gave me ideas for helping
that 5.7 breathe better.
Never saw your video about the Pedal Commander. There are a few systems out
there like that giving all kinds claims as well as
the customer claims.
In the end, it’s all about you, the owner and how
you drive.
Has the oiled filter affected your maf any? Thinking about getting the Stillen, just cant decide
Not at all!...I’ve had no issues with anything with this kit, I would highly recommend it if you’re looking at any CAI’s!
The pipe that goes from TB to box. Is that a secure sealed connection in the box?
Once you install filter and tighten that hose clamp on inside of box it’s nice and secure
NitroZ18 Fishing cool, thank you
would this be not efficient in dusty areas? where sandstorms happen?
I can’t speak from experience as far as dusty areas, but I’ve driven through blizzards, downpours, and similar weather with no issues at all, and Stillen claims they’ve tested the kit in desserts with no problems either!...it’s a solid kit for sure!
Whats the overall height of your truck after it was lifted? Thank you sir’
I haven’t measured it to be honest, but I can tell ya my garage door is 7’ and I only clear it by maybe 3-5 inches...hahaha...I can get an actual measurement for ya if ya need!
NitroZ18 Fishing appreciate for replying on my message.. coz i my garage is 82inches, and i might copy your set up. Hehe
no prob!...let me know if I can help ya with anything else!
Thanks for sharing this information.
No prob!...thanks for watching!
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Any performance gains from your butt dyno?
I haven't had mine on a dyno but there are a couple videos on the web showing the proven results on dyno from the kit...although it's not mind blowing, I will say I can feel a difference with the responsiveness of the truck, and it does seem to pick up a little quicker!...plus the sound is just mean...haha
I just picked this up for 18 Tundra as well. How’s it feeling with some more drive time?
Love it, truck def picks up a little better and feels more responsive...and can’t get enough of the little extra sound it adds on top of my exhaust!
NitroZ18 Fishing Nice! I have a Bam 8” system myself. I’m looking forward to a little more Highway pep in passing gear since mid rpms seems to be the sweet spot based on the dyno graphs.
heck yea!...let me know how ya like it!
Great video. Will this void your warranty.
Thanks Dave!...and no sir, I talked to my local dealership about it and was told that installing an aftermarket CAI will not void warranty unless they can prove that it caused a particular issue
Does this void the warranty ?
I asked my dealer and I was told as long as it doesn't cause any issues that they can prove happened due to adding this intake, it will not void warranty...hope that helps!
Sounds great boss do you have the link for the parts
Thanks man, I appreciate it!...there’s a ton of places that sell it, I would just google it and price compare...that’s what I did to find the best deal, watch for a sale from different companies...I can list the link from where I got mine if ya want...thanks for watching!
Any idea if this fits a 4.6?
I believe it’s only for the 5.7...if I remember correctly that’s what it states on their website
Nice job
Thank you, I appreciate it!
What lift and tire/wheel/offset are you running?
It’s a 4/2 ReadyLift SST sittin on 20x9 +12 wrapped in 35x12.5’s...thanks for watching!
Did it come with a K&N filter? Looked like it.
Yepper, comes with K&N...I chose the oiled option...you can swap the filter out for another brand in wanted
NitroZ18 Fishing thank you!
no prob!
What type of exhaust do you have?
It’s a 10” Dirty Deeds, I have a video on it if it would help!
What did it do more mpg or hp?
Hey John!...I definitely feel like the truck is more responsive, especially mid range...I really wish I put her on a dyno before and after install to have solid proof of the gains...there’s so much talk out there about how CAI’s are pointless, and while I agree most are just for show/sound, the Stillen with the intake behind grille allowing true “cold air”, and the make up of the kit allows for the best possible situation...Stillen has videos showing the gains, but I wish I did it myself to rule out any doubt!
Is that legal? Can it pass smog check certification?
Yes sir, completely legal!...thanks for watching!
Do you see any reason this won't fit a 07 to 13 tundra ?
Hey Josh!...I’ll be honest, I’m not sure if it would work or not so I don’t want to give you any wrong info...it does say only for 14-20 Tundras so if I had to guess it most likely wouldn’t work
I'm gonna disassemble mine and go through watching yours and ill buy that one if I feel its close even if I have to modify it a little bit to my needs. The newer tundras air box will mount up to the 07-13 spot. So i might give it a shot. Ill let ya know
yea def keep me posted if you don't mind!...I'm interested to see if it works!
That sucks.
ouch, yea that's unfortunate...I'm surprised they don't make anything for that gen Tundra!
Hi can anyone link the page where to buy this product? By the way great video 👍🏼👍🏼 just subscribe to your channel keep up the good work
Thank you, I appreciate that!!…here’s one link for it, but I would check around to see if anyone is running deals…I got mine on a sale so it wasn’t quite as expensive…hope it helps!
